Inn na Filadélfia, King’s Promotions presents a great night of championship boxing that will headlined by 10-round UBF Lightweight championship bout between Frankie De Alba (15-1-2, 5 KO) e Bernardo Gomez Uribe (14-3, 10 KO).
In one of the 8-round co-features, Steve Upsher Chambers (24-4-1, 6 KO) returns to the city where he cut his teeth as a professional to take on Alejandro Rodriguez (24-16-1, 14 KO) num Jr. Ataque Welterweight.
Chambers, who came originally to Philadelphia with former Heavyweight title challenger, “Rápido” Eddie Chambers, lutou 23 times and the famed Blue Horizon in Philadelphia and will be making his first start in the City of Brotherly Love in almost 6 anos.
“I have been training hard and working on opening my new gym with (peso leve) Rod Salka,” said Upsher.
“I am on weight already and I feel good. We will be fighting at 142 libras.”
Upsher is ready to show the fans how far his abilities have grown since he turned pro in Philadelphia in 2003 quando ele era apenas 18 anos.
“I am happy to be coming back to Philadelphia. I want to show people how far I have come and see the improvement that I have made as a fighter.”
Despite losing his three bouts to the likes of former world champions Luis Collazo and Andre Berto as well as then-undefeated prospect Eddie Gomez, Upsher was competitive in all those bouts and grew tremendously from those experiences.
“It showed that I can compete against that level of fighter. Plus everyone of those guys was bigger than me. Eu sou um naturais 140 pounder and can make 135 if the right opportunity presented itself.”
Chambers went back to his native Pittsburgh to train in neighboring city Coal Center, PA.
“My mind is set on winning a world title at 140 libras. After the three losses, I cant afford any missteps. People see about the losses. I know I have the ability to be a world champion and on Maio 29 that will start to show.”
On the veteran opponent, Rodriguez, Upsher said, “I know he is tough and from Mexico. I will look at a little film before the fight and go from there. I really don’t worry about what he will do. He should worry about me. This fight is redemption for me. It’s a start and then I would like to right all of the losses. But first I am looking for a dominant performance na sexta-feira then I want to end all doubts.”

Ennis captured the NABF Super Middleweight title with a win over Victor Lares. Ennis coming off a loss to current WBC Super Middleweight champion Badou Jack on July 19, 2013.

No evento principal, invicto leve Omar Douglas will see action in an six-round bout when he now fights former world title challenger Daniel Attah (28-19-1, 11 KO) de Washington, D.C.

In one of the anticipated undercard bouts, invicto leve Anjo Ocasio (7-0-2, 2 KO) will take on tough veteran Justin Johnson em uma luta programada para seis rounds.

It was just over two years ago when Ocasio, considered a rising prospect in Philadelphia, was last in the ring as he stopped Esteban Rodriguez in two rounds on December 8, 2012.

“I took the time off and found the lord and got married,”disse o 25 year-old Ocasio.

“It was a much needed time off. I helped me realize that there are more important things then to just be a boxer. I know there that there other things as boxing is just temporarily. If boxing wasn’t here, I would still be the same guy. ”

Ocasio knows that he has a talent in the ring and after that hiatus, he didn’t find much problem getting back into the swing of things.

“The training aspect was not that difficult. I am good with weight and the running was good. I guess the only thing that needed time was my timing. But i got in great work with (invicto leve) Milton Santiago Jr. and it came back nicely.”

Ocasio didn’t pick an easy customer for his comeback opponent in Johnson. Johnson’s record reads just 6-7-4 but he has wins over four undefeated prospects plus respect Philly fighter Hasan Young.

“Justin is tough. He defeated four undefeated fighters and I am sure he prepares well. Just by fighting a guy with that kind of record does not win fights. He is an experienced fighter so I know it will be a good fight.”

“I look to be very active for the rest of the year. I am looking for five total fights in 2015. Maybe two more six-round bouts and my goal is to be fighting eight round fights by the end of the year. I think I am about eight fights away from being one of those television fights that will get me to the top level.”

The well-spoken Ocasio is emphatic that despite his time away, he will soon be a big name in the sport.

“Estou de volta. I am coming for what’s mine. The people who have been doubting me for a long time can still get on and join the team!”

In the co-feature bout, undefeated super middleweight Kyron “Desligue isso” Davis will look to remain perfect when he takes on veteran Carlos Garcia em uma luta programada para seis rounds.

Davis de Wilmington, Delaware will be making his second start of 2015 as he is coming off six-round unanimous decision over Jonathan Garcia on Janeiro 31 na Filadélfia.

“Training has gone real well. I have been doing a lot of roadwork and I feel good,” said the 20-year old Davis.

In Garcia, he is facing a tested fighter who has been in the ring with eleven undefeated fighters including Michael Anderson. Jermell Charlo, Charles Hatley, Lanard Lane, Jonel Tapia, Yordenis Ugas, Glen Tapia, Daniel Rosario and in his last bout when he was stopped in five rounds

“I don’t know too much about him other than he has about 20 fights and he is six-feet tall.”

After a great amateur career, Davis is continuing to learn and grow into the professional ranks.

“I have been learning patience, timing and ring generalship. I am getting comfortable without using the headgear and fighting with the smaller gloves and creating my identity as a fighter.”

This will be the second consecutive fight in the Philadelphia area for Davis as Harrahs Philadelphia is just up I-95 from Davis’ Wilmington home.

“I like that everyone can come see me fight. Other than that I just go about my business and prepare like any other fight.”

Davis believes that he will be ready for bigger stages in the next year.

“We are progressing. We are hoping for a television spot later in the year. I just want everyone to come out and support us no sábado. I will shut it down like I always do and put on a great show.”

No evento principal, invicto leve Omar Douglas will see action in an six-round bout when he takes on 70-fight veteran Jose Angel Beranza (36-32-2, 28 KO) of Tepito, México.

 

Douglas de Wilmington, Delaware tem um recorde de 13-0 com dez nocautes. Ele tornou-se profissional em maio 27, 2011 com uma terceira vitória desqualificação redonda sobre Eric Salão.

This being his 14th pro fight, Douglas is now rounding into a situation where he knows what he has to do to continue to get better.

 
“I have been very responsible with my defense. I always knew I had a pro style. It was my late trainer Lewis Lum who told me I was better suited to become a professional world champion than an Olympic gold medal winner.”

 
Douglas sees himself continuing to grow and fighting on more high profile platforms as the year progresses.

 
“I see myself on bigger cards. I am with Al Haymon so to fight on a PBC card is a goal for the year. By the end of the year, I should be considered a hot prospect and I should get in three or four more fights that should put my name out more.”

 

Douglas finished by saying, “Em Abril 25, expect a show. I will be smart and put everything together. I train for every opponent like they are the best. Once it all comes together it will be lights out!!”

Colon emociona fãs com decisão unânime sobre Munoz Blake derrota Prescott também ganha por Davis, Williams, Newman, Fulton, Clark e Russell

Filadélfia, PA (Fevereiro 2, 2015)–Seus fãs vieram de centenas e até milhares de quilômetros de distância. Invicto Jr. Middleweight Colon Prichard fizeram a sua viagem de um feliz como ele bateu uma decisão 6 unânime redonda sobre acidentada Hector Munoz para destacar um cartão de 8-bout no 2300 Arena em Filadélfia.
O show foi promovido pela Promoções rei e XFE.

Colon olhou para torná-lo uma noite curta como ele conseguiu um enorme uppercut que enviou Munoz à lona no primeiro turno, que trouxe a 2300 Arena para um som ensurdecedor. Colon continuou a perfurar Munoz com potência tiro após tiro poder que tirou sangue sobre o olho esquerdo de Munoz já em terceiro round. Colon continuou a mostrar o movimento de fluidos, enquanto desembarque tiros rígidos no jogo Munoz que lutou nas últimas rodadas com o fecho do olho esquerdo. O sangue foi escorrendo pelo rosto de Munoz, que foi resultado de um desempenho mestre de Colon.

Colon de Puerto Rico venceu por marcou de 60-53 duas vezes e 60-51 e é agora 13-0. Munoz de Albuquerque, NM é agora 23-14-1.

Grayson Blake lutou por algumas adversidades para ganhar uma decisão 6 unânime redonda sobre Anthony Prescott em um ataque Welterweight.

Invicto Kyrone Davis definido para enfrentar Jonathan Garcia neste sábado, no 2300 Arena em Filadélfia

Filadélfia, PA (Janeiro 27 2015)–Este sábado noite no 2300 Arena, invicto dos médios Kyrone Davis vai assumir o veterano Jonathan Garcia em um ataque 6-redonda em um show promovido pela Promoções rei.

O principal evento vai ver invicto Colon Prichard (12-0, 10 KO) de Orocovis, Puerto Rico assumir Hector Munoz (23-13-1, 15 KO) de Albuquerque, Novo México no Jr 8-redonda. Middleweight luta.

Davis fora de Wilmington, Delaware tem um recorde de 5-0 com três nocautes e o ex-amador destaque está animado sobre a sua luta neste sábado.

“Formação correu bem. Eu sei que Garcia é um cara que lutou durável boa competição. Meu gol no sábado é colocar em um bom, desempenho limpo. Não ser atingido e dar a todos um bom show para minha primeira luta em Philly,”disse o 20 year-old Davis.

Davis foi 91-9 como amador, que ganhou dois torneios Nacional PAL e competiu em provas olímpicas está ansioso para sua estréia locais.

“Mesmo sei que nasceu em Nova Jersey e viver em Delaware, Eu treino na Filadélfia. Eu não lutei aqui profissionalmente e eu estou voltando para mostrar a todos o que eu estou fazendo. Eu vou lutar inteligente e empurrar para o nocaute. Eu só quero ser um grande profissional.”

“Estou de bom humor e se colocar em lotes de obras rodoviárias. Eu tenho uma grande equipa, com o meu treinador Stephen Edwards. Este é o campo mais longa que tivemos como eu deveria lutar em dezembro e foi que não aconteceu, nós ficamos formação. Estou na melhor forma. Esta é a minha primeira luta de seis rodada, mas estamos preparados para ir ainda mais tempo por isso não será um problema. Espero realizar no próximo nível.

Stephen “Patinete” Fulton para assumir Eric Gotaythis sábado, no 2300 Arena em Filadélfia

Filadélfia, PA (Janeiro 26, 2015)–Este sábado noite no 2300 Arena, invicto Super Bantamweight Stephen “Patinete” Fulton vai olhar para permanecer perfeito, quando ele assume Eric Gotay em um ataque de 4 rodada em um show promovido pela Promoções rei.

O principal evento vai ver invicto Colon Prichard (12-0, 10 KO) de Orocovis, Puerto Rico assumir Hector Munoz (23-13-1, 15 KO) de Albuquerque, Novo México no Jr 8-redonda. Middleweight luta.

Fulton de Filadélfia tem um registro de 3-0 com 1 nocaute e ele teve um bom acampamento, enquanto se prepara para sua segunda aparição consecutiva cidade natal.

“Tudo tem sido ótimo. Eu estive trabalhando em um força e condicionamento. Fui ficando grande trabalho pad e meus treinadores foram me empurrando duro real. Nós estamos olhando para lutar 6 rodadas, mas eu estou me preparando para mais,”disse o 20 year-old Fulton.

Fulton vem tentando descobrir sobre Gotay mas só encontrou muito pouca informação sobre o seu adversário.

“A única coisa que eu realmente sei sobre ele é que ele tem braços longos e ele gosta de jab.”

Fulton, que fez sua estréia Philadelphia com uma decisão unânime 4-redonda sobre Benjamin Burgos em Dezembro 5 desfrutar de sua cidade natal, mas ele prefere lutar fora da cidade.

“Gosto de lutar daqui. Há combates casa mais pressão, mas eu estou muito focado.”

Essa pressão não é nada de novo para Fulton como o amador decorado era um campeão Luvas Nacional Prata, um campeão Ringside e competiu na World Series de boxe onde ele foi 2-1.

Fulton tem sido aclamado por alguns como uma futura estrela do boxe e ele quer apelar para os fãs.

“Eu quero ter certeza de que as pessoas notam me e aproveitar meu estilo de luta. Um monte de gente vai me notar até o final do ano e espero que eu possa ter algum tempo de televisão. Dê uma boa olhada em mim e ver onde estou, porque i poucos anos, Eu vou ser um campeão do mundo.
