Inn in Philadelphia, King’s Promotions presents a great night of championship boxing that will headlined by 10-round UBF Lightweight championship bout between Frankie De Alba (15-1-2, 5 KO se) en Bernardo Gomez Uribe (14-3, 10 KO se).

In one of the 8-round co-features, Steve Upsher Chambers (24-4-1, 6 KO se) returns to the city where he cut his teeth as a professional to take on Alejandro Rodriguez (24-16-1, 14 KO se) in 'n Jr. Weltergewig bout.

Chambers, who came originally to Philadelphia with former Heavyweight title challenger, “Fast” Eddie Chambers, geveg 23 times and the famed Blue Horizon in Philadelphia and will be making his first start in the City of Brotherly Love in almost 6 jaar.

“I have been training hard and working on opening my new gym with (liggewig aanspraakmaker) Rod Salka,” said Upsher.

“I am on weight already and I feel good. We will be fighting at 142 pond.”

Upsher is ready to show the fans how far his abilities have grown since he turned pro in Philadelphia in 2003 toe hy net 18 jaar oud.

“I am happy to be coming back to Philadelphia. I want to show people how far I have come and see the improvement that I have made as a fighter.”

Despite losing his three bouts to the likes of former world champions Luis Collazo and Andre Berto as well as then-undefeated prospect Eddie Gomez, Upsher was competitive in all those bouts and grew tremendously from those experiences.

“It showed that I can compete against that level of fighter. Plus everyone of those guys was bigger than me. Ek is 'n natuurlike 140 pounder and can make 135 if the right opportunity presented itself.”

Chambers went back to his native Pittsburgh to train in neighboring city Coal Center, PA.

“My mind is set on winning a world title at 140 pond. After the three losses, I cant afford any missteps. People see about the losses. I know I have the ability to be a world champion and on Mei 29 that will start to show.”

On the veteran opponent, Rodriguez, Upsher said, “I know he is tough and from Mexico. I will look at a little film before the fight and go from there. I really don’t worry about what he will do. He should worry about me. This fight is redemption for me. It’s a start and then I would like to right all of the losses. But first I am looking for a dominant performance Vrydag then I want to end all doubts.”

“Justin is tough. He defeated four undefeated fighters and I am sure he prepares well. Just by fighting a guy with that kind of record does not win fights. He is an experienced fighter so I know it will be a good fight.”

“I look to be very active for the rest of the year. I am looking for five total fights in 2015. Maybe two more six-round bouts and my goal is to be fighting eight round fights by the end of the year. I think I am about eight fights away from being one of those television fights that will get me to the top level.”

The well-spoken Ocasio is emphatic that despite his time away, he will soon be a big name in the sport.

“Ek is terug. I am coming for what’s mine. The people who have been doubting me for a long time can still get on and join the team!”

“I don’t know too much about him other than he has about 20 fights and he is six-feet tall.”

After a great amateur career, Davis is continuing to learn and grow into the professional ranks.

“I have been learning patience, timing and ring generalship. I am getting comfortable without using the headgear and fighting with the smaller gloves and creating my identity as a fighter.”

This will be the second consecutive fight in the Philadelphia area for Davis as Harrahs Philadelphia is just up I-95 from Davis’ Wilmington home.

“I like that everyone can come see me fight. Other than that I just go about my business and prepare like any other fight.”

Davis believes that he will be ready for bigger stages in the next year.

“We are progressing. We are hoping for a television spot later in the year. I just want everyone to come out and support us Saterdag. I will shut it down like I always do and put on a great show.”

Said Davis’ adviser Stephen Edwards, “Kyrone is progressing great. He has has 20 round of professional experience and he has not lost any of them, He is right on schedule and is getting used to the professional ranks.”

This will be the first time that Douglas headlines in his home region and he not about to have any of the distractions to go with that.

“I take it in stride. I consider it just another day at the office. The only difference is that I am closing the show.”

This being his 14th pro fight, Douglas is now rounding into a situation where he knows what he has to do to continue to get better.

“I have been very responsible with my defense. I always knew I had a pro style. It was my late trainer Lewis Lum who told me I was better suited to become a professional world champion than an Olympic gold medal winner.”

Douglas sees himself continuing to grow and fighting on more high profile platforms as the year progresses.

“I see myself on bigger cards. I am with Al Haymon so to fight on a PBC card is a goal for the year. By the end of the year, I should be considered a hot prospect and I should get in three or four more fights that should put my name out more.”

Douglas finished by saying, “Op April 25, expect a show. I will be smart and put everything together. I train for every opponent like they are the best. Once it all comes together it will be lights out!!”

Onoorwonne Jr. Middelgewigtitel Prichard Colon het hul reis om 'n gelukkige een soos hy gehamer 'n 6-ronde eenparige besluit oor ruwe Hector Munoz 'n 8-bout kaart by die na vore te bring 2300 Arena in Philadelphia.

Philadelphia, PA (Januarie 27 2015)–Saterdag aand by die 2300 Arena, onoorwonne Middelgewig Kyrone Davis sal neem oor die veteraan Jonathan Garcia in 'n 6-ronde bout op 'n show bevorder deur King's Promotions.

Die hoofren sal sien onoorwonne Prichard Colon (12-0, 10 KO se) van Orocovis, Puerto Rico neem op Hector Munoz (23-13-1, 15 KO se) van Albuquerque, New Mexico in die 8-ronde Jr. Middelgewigtitel stryd.

Davis uit Wilmington, Delaware het 'n rekord van 5-0 met drie uitklophoue en die voormalige amateur opvallende is opgewonde oor sy stryd Saterdag.

“Opleiding het goed gegaan. I know that Garcia is a durable guy who has fought good competition. My goal Saterdag is op 'n goeie te sit, skoon prestasie. Not to get hit and give everyone a good show for my first fight in Philly,”het gesê die 20 jaar-oue Davis.

Philadelphia, PA (Januarie 26, 2015)–Saterdag aand by die 2300 Arena, onoorwonne Super Pluim Gewichten Stephen “Scooter” Fulton sal kyk volmaak te bly wanneer hy op Eric Gotay in 'n 4-ronde bout op 'n show bevorder deur King's Promotions.

Die hoofren sal sien onoorwonne Prichard Colon (12-0, 10 KO se) van Orocovis, Puerto Rico neem op Hector Munoz (23-13-1, 15 KO se) van Albuquerque, New Mexico in die 8-ronde Jr. Middelgewigtitel stryd.

Fulton van Philadelphia het 'n rekord van 3-0 met 1 knockout en hy het 'n goeie kamp as hy berei vir sy 2de agtereenvolgende tuisdorp voorkoms.

“Alles is groot. I been working on a strength and conditioning. I have been getting great pad work and my trainers have been pushing me real hard. We are looking to fight 6-rounds but I am preparing for more,”het gesê die 20 jaar-oue Fulton.

Fulton het probeer om uit te vind oor Gotay maar het slegs gevind dat baie min inligting oor sy teenstander.

“Die enigste ding wat ek regtig weet omtrent hom is dat hy 'n lang arms en hy hou daarvan om steek.”

Fulton, wat sy Philadelphia debuut gemaak met 'n 4-round eenparig besluit oor Benjamin Burgos op Desember 5 geniet sy tuisdorp, maar hy verkies uit die dorp om te veg.

“Ek geniet dit om weg te veg van hier. There is more pressure fighting home, maar ek is baie gefokus.”

Dit druk is niks om te nuwe Fulton as die versier amateur was 'n Nasionale Silver Handskoene kampioen, 'n ringside kampioen en het in die World Series of boks waar hy 2-1.

Fulton is beskou deur sommige as 'n toekomstige ster van boks en hy wil 'n beroep op die ondersteuners.

“Ek wil om seker te maak mense my en geniet my veg styl. A lot of people will notice me by the end of the year and hopefully I can get some television time. Take a good look at me and see where I am, want ek 'n paar jaar, Ek sal 'n wêreld kampioen te wees.
