The 29-year-old Emeev, fighting out of Makhachkala, Rusia, first captured the vacant M-1 Challenge middleweight title in 2012, taking a 5-round unanimous decision from Mario Miranda di M-1 Tantangan 35, and he successfully won the rematch five months later diM-1 Tantangan 38, stopping Miranda via strikes in the third round.

Emeev (14-3-0, M-1: 8-1-0) suffered a torn ligament in his elbow during training camp. In a M-1 Challenge Grand Prix Middleweight Tournament semifinals match last February, Vasilevsky lost a majority decision to Shlemenko in the M-1 Tantangan 64 Pertarungan of the Night.
“We were in a very difficult situation after Ramazan Danmeev got injured,” Presiden M-1 Global Vadim Finkelchtein menjelaskan. “The whole event was in jeopardy. Jadi, saat ini, we’re grateful to Vyacheslav Vasilevsky for agreeing to step in and face Shlemenko in our M-1 Grand Prix finals being held on his (Vasilevsky) ulang tahun.
“Due to our contract obligations, we were unable to postpone the event because it is officially included in the St. Petersburg Danconomic Forum, which is something every one of our fighters knew from the very beginning. Emeev (14-3-0, M-1: 8-1-0), fighting out of Russia by way of Dagestan, is the reigning M-1 Challenge middleweight champion, although his title belt will not be at stake against Shlemenko. The 28-year-old Emeev, yang merupakan 2015 M-1 Global Fighter of the Year, is a two-time M-1 Challenge middleweight champion. ST. PETERSBURG, Rusia (Bulan April 10, 2016) – Juara kelas menengah M-1 Tantangan Ramadan Emeev won last night at M-1 Tantangan 65 to advance to the M-1 Global Grand Prix Middleweight Championship, while undefeated challenger Alexey Kunchenkodefeated defending champion Murad “Pemburu” Abdulaev to become the new M-1 Challenge welterweight titlist, at CSC Sibur Arena in St. Petersburg, Rusia.
Ramazan (14-3-0, M-1: 810), itu 2015 M-1 Global Fighter of the Year, used a choke hold on his Brazilian opponent, Maiquel “Big Rig” Facao (35-9-0, M-1: 0-1-0), in their M-1 Grand Prix middleweight semifinals match. The main event ended at the 2:50 mark of the opening round as Ramazan advances to face three-time Bellator champion Alexander “Badai” Shlemenko (51-9-0, M-1: 2-0-0) in the upcoming M-1 Grand Prix Middleweight Championship showdown.
