Due to the growing concerns over COVID-19, Premier Boxing Champions scheduled events for March and April have been cancelled and will be rescheduled for a later date. At this time there’s no information regarding future shows. “The health and safety of the boxers, fans and those working the events are of utmost importance to us,” a déclaré Tom Brown, President of TGB Promotions and lead promoter for the cancelled shows. “We are all disappointed and as we get more information we will address future events.”

**BROOKLYN** (Mars 7, 2020) – **Robert Helenius** (30-3, 19 KOs)a remporté une victoire surprise sur précédemment invaincu **Adam Kownacki** (20-1, 15 KOs) en l'arrêtant dans le quatrième tour d'un titre WBA des poids lourds Eliminator tête d'affiche FOX PBC Fight Night et sur FOX Deportes samedi soir de Barclays Centre, la maison de BROOKLYN BOXE ™.

“Je tiens à remercier tout le monde qui m'a donné cette occasion,” Ledit Helenius. “Kownacki est un combattant dur. J'ai travaillé dur dans le camp d'entraînement et il a payé.”

“Se battre pour un tir au titre est vraiment motivant. Je sais que c'est un grand combat pour Robert aussi bien et il est entraîné dur, mais ma chance de titre est juste autour du coin. Je aurais pu attendre, mais j'ai décidé de prendre ce grand test. Je vais montrer pourquoi je suis prêt à se battre pour le titre bientôt.

“Il est vraiment étonnant de voir les fans polonais la nuit de combat. J'étais un fan Andrew Golota et Tomasz Adamek après. Maintenant, je suis en train d'être la motivation suivante pour les jeunes enfants de polonais. Je veux leur montrer qu'ils peuvent faire. Je continuais prendre les bonnes décisions et maintenant je suis là si près d'un titre tiré. Robert est en mon chemin et je dois le battre pour arriver là où je veux.

“Je suis à la recherche d'un KO spectaculaire. Je veux montrer pourquoi je suis l'un des meilleurs poids lourds dans le monde. Je dois prendre soin des affaires.

“Il est vraiment étonnant d'avoir des fans partout dans le monde viennent partager cette nuit avec moi. C'est un honneur d'avoir ce qui suit. Il est à couper le souffle vraiment. Je leur dis de continuer ce voyage avec des poids lourds pour devenir champion du monde.

“J'ai l'occasion de faire un grand combat samedi et c'est ce que je me suis entraîné pour. Je suis prêt et j'ai eu un camp d'entraînement. Je ne peux pas attendre pour entrer dans le ring.

“Ce combat nous est venu deux semaines plus tôt à l'U.S. Mon corps a pris l'habitude à la différence. Plus, le sparring en Alabama au gymnase Deontay Wilder vraiment m'a aidé à se préparer.

“Nous faisons tout droit et de la formation a été grande. Nous avons affrontées tant de tours, Je me sens très forte et prête à entrer dans le ring contre Kownacki.

“J'ai beaucoup de fans en Europe et que le soutien est la raison pour laquelle je peux même le faire et de concourir à ce niveau. Tout a été si parfait à venir au camp d'entraînement. Il me fait me sentir plus confiant que moi depuis de nombreuses années.

“Je me suis entraîné pendant des années avec une main cassée et ont eu des blessures dans le passé. Mais les deux dernières années, je suis en bonne santé et avec le même entraîneur et je me sens physiquement aussi bon que j'ai jamais.”

**EFE AJAGBA**

“Je suis très heureux d'être sur ce grand spectacle plein de poids lourds. Je suis impatient de samedi soir. Je remercie mon adversaire pour relever ce défi. Il est un bon combattant et nous sommes impatients de vous donner un grand combat.

“Dans la lutte Iago Kiladze je l'avais blessé et essayé de le terminer, mais je suis allé trop sauvage et laissé ma garde. Voilà pourquoi il a débarqué un coup de feu et m'a renversé. Je me sentais bien quand je me suis levé et je suis revenu et l'acheva.

“Il est à Cojanu comment le combat va. Nous allons voir s'il peut prendre mon coup de poing ou non le samedi. Nous verrons dans le ring s'il a un menton dur.

“Cojanu a beaucoup de bonne expérience contre de bons combattants. Il va essayer de me boîte, mais s'il ne peut pas prendre mon pouvoir, alors je serai en mesure de gagner le combat par KO. S'il peut le prendre, Je serai prêt à gagner une décision.”

**RAZVAN Cojanu**

“Efe est un combattant que je respecte beaucoup. Il est une grande perspective. Mais je suis prêt pour lui. Je suis très confiant en moi-même. J'ai eu un camp d'entraînement de six semaines. Tous ceux qui me pris en charge, Je vais les rendre fiers samedi.

“Pour ce combat, j'ai eu la chance de travailler avec Henry Tillman et il a fait une énorme différence dans mon jeu. Je sais que l'entraîneur ne peut pas se battre pour moi, mais je crois dans son plan et son jugement. Il sait comment je peux battre Efe Ajagba et vous samedi soir va me voir état de choc dans le monde.

“Les gens pensent Efe a déjà gagné le combat, mais je me sens bien. Il n'y a pas de pression sur mes épaules. Je n'ai rien à perdre. Je crois au karma et je crois qu'il est mon temps pour mon moment pour venir ce samedi.

“Je suis très heureux de se battre sur FOX pour la première fois. Bonne chance à tous les combattants à venir à travers santé et donner aux fans une grande performance toute la nuit.”

**FRANK SANCHEZ**

“Je suis très heureux de cette occasion de se battre sur cette grande carte PBC. Samedi va être un grand combat et vous pouvez vous attendre une grande performance de moi.

“Je souhaite bonne chance Joey samedi, mais pas trop de chance. Je vais montrer que je suis l'un des meilleurs poids lourds dans le monde.

“Il ne frappe pas à tout le monde. Avec ma défense et le mouvement, il ne va pas être en mesure de me faire du mal. J'ai tout besoin de dominer ce combat.

“Personne ne lui a jamais combattu est comme moi. Il va être choqué quand je livrerai un knock-out énorme samedi soir. Je vous vois dans le ring le samedi.”

**JOEY Dawejko**

“Je tiens à remercier tous ceux qui m'a aidé à cette occasion. J'ai l'occasion d'être à nouveau grand. Je connais un peu Frank Sanchez. Je sais qu'ils sont le mouvement rapide, mais je pense qu'ils ont pris la mauvaise lutte. Ils auraient dû attendre un couple plus de combats pour moi et je vais le prouver.

“Je suis en grande forme et j'ai eu un grand camp avec mon entraîneur Justin Fortune. Je ne peux pas attendre pour obtenir là-bas et donner à chacun un grand combat.

“L'expérience joue un grand rôle dans ce combat. J'ai eu une grande carrière amateur et je me suis battu dans le monde entier. J'ai sparred avec tous les champions en ce moment et il est tout va aider.

“Frank est un bon combattant, mais il n'est pas prêt pour moi. Il va essayer de me boîte, mais je vais être trop. Je prédis un knock-out. Il va être dans un grand choc. Il n'a pas tout ce que je ne l'ai pas déjà vu auparavant.”

Plant began landing the combinations in the third, bringing the crowd to his feet with a series of well-placed volleys.

Those shots slowly took their toll, but Feigenbutz was game. He came alive in the sixth, pinning Plant against the ropes and unloading his own combinations. Plant covered up and shook his head as if unbothered.

Plant pounded Feigenbutz in the seventh and eighth, opening up a cut on his nose and swelling his right eye. The challenger absorbed more punishment in the ninth, causing the ringside doctor to take a hard look at him in between rounds.

Heading into the 10^eand final round Ramos was told by his cornermen that he needed a knockout to win. Ramos (26-3-2, 20 KOs) delivered, badly hurting and dropping Perrella twice in the waning seconds of the frame, prompting referee Jack Reiss to wave the welterweight co-main event off with just one second remaining.

“I know the fight’s not over until it’s over,” said Ramos. “That’s the game. I’ve been sick for two weeks. But no excuses. I wanted to come here and perform.

“I watched the Chavez-Taylor fight like 10 million times and I never thought I’d be in something like that. It just goes to prove that fights are never over till it’s over. You have to fight every single second of every single round.”

Perrella (17-3, 14 KOs) was up on all three cards at the time of the stoppage; 87-84 and two scores of 88-83.

The FOX PBC Fight Night opener featured a back-and-forth battle between lightweightsAustin Dulay et **Diego Magdaleno**. Magdaleno produced one of the finest performances of his career, dropping Dulay on his way to a 10-round unanimous decision victory in a minor upset.

The 33-year-old Magdaleno (32-3, 13 KOs) was simply busier, particularly down the stretch in this battle of southpaws.

“I knew mentally I could break him down,” said Magdaleno. “If I attacked the body, I knew I could break him down. He’s a young prospect. He’s taller than me so my plan of attack was to get in close and go to the body.”

Dulay disagreed with the decision. “I boxed the hell out of him every round, making him miss, catching shots, countering. Ouais, he hit me with a few good body shots. That doesn’t replace the heavy shots that I hit him with every single round for 10 rounds straight. That is madness. And it was a unanimous decision? That’s crazy. That’s unbelievable to me.

“Even Diego just told me that he had nothing to do with the decision. He knows. How can they do that to me in my hometown? That’s dirty man.”

Fighting in front of his fellow Nashville residents, Dulay (13-2, 10 KOs) started fast, landing several clean lefts in the second. Magdaleno never stopped coming forward, working behind the jab and landing to Dulay’s body.

Some of those shots strayed low which elicited warnings from referee Jack Reiss. Cependant, the work paid off as Dulay’s output dropped over the course of the bout. The sixth featured some of the best exchanges of the bout. Magdaleno got the better of those, landing a right to the ribs followed by one upstairs.

Magdaleno continued to press the attack in the seventh, scoring the fight’s only knockdown with a hard left hook to the solar plexus.

Once action resumed, Magdaleno pounded at his ribs until a left hook strayed low and dropped Magdaleno, causing Reiss to deduct a point.

“Every round he was hitting me low and, in the back, and on the hips,” said Dulay.
“It was more times than he got called for. I won that fight 100%.”

Sensing the fight slipping away, Dulay picked up the pace over the last three rounds. It wasn’t enough to overcome Magdaleno’s work rate, which earned him a win by scores of 97-91, 96-92 et 96-92.

“Experience has everything going for me. In my previous fight, I lost my head,” said Magdaleno. “This time I took my time. My camp said slow it down. Happy for the victory tonight.”

On the non-televised undercard, former world bantamweight champion **Rau’Shee “Nuke” Garenne** (17-3, 4 KOs) ended a 13-month layoff with a wide 10-round unanimous decision over **Gilberto Mendoza** (15-8-3, 7 KOs).

The 33-year-old Warren used his fast hands to land an assortment of shots from his lefty stance. In the fourth, a clash of heads opened a cut over the left eye of Mexico’s Mendoza. Warren sought to close the show, but Mendoza was game, firing back though outgunned.

Two judges scored it 99-91 and the third judge had it 100-90.

“It felt good to get back in there after being off for a year,” Warren said. “I didn’t feel like a rookie. I felt like I had to get a little rust off me. But I think I got most of the rust off when I was in the gym training. Going 10 rounds it felt good.”

“I hope to get back in May,” said Warren. “I only need 90 journées. I’ve already had my long layoff since last January when I fought on Pacquiao and Adrien’s card. I’m ready to get it on. I’m ready to move on. The only thing he did that I didn’t expect him to do was stay up.”

George (10-0, 6 KOs) emerged victorious in a battle of then unbeaten fighters when he faced Escudero on SHOWTIME in November, taking a split-decision victory. The 30-year-old didn’t start boxing until he was 19 and is managed by Washington Redskins All-Pro offensive lineman Trent Williams, and trained in Houston by NFL All-Pro running back Adrian Peterson and James Cooper. George will look to transition from prospect to contender by defeating Escudero again on March 28.

Escudero (10-1, 9 KOs) will look to bounce back and even the score against George, and in turn bolster his own position in the light heavyweight division. The 26-year-old from Buenos Aires, Argentina has fought primarily in the U.S. since turning pro in 2017. His amateur career saw him become a national champion in Argentina in 2014 and represent his country in the Pan-Am Games in 2015. Escudero currently trains in Miami and scored three stoppage wins in 2019 before facing George for the first time.
