World ranked Yenifel Vicente comes out in defense of Latinos for derogatory comments by father / trainer of champion Isaac Dogboe

Santo Domingo, Dominicaanse Republiek – Renowned Dominican boxer Yenifel ‘El Rayo’ Vicente (31-3-2, 23 KO's) has been aware of the expressions made by Paul Dogboe, father and trainer of the Interim World Boxing Organization champion (WBO) 122 pond, Isaac Dogboe (18-0, 12 KO's), who is scheduled to face WBO world champion, Mexican American, Jessie Magdaleno (25-0, 18 KO's), op April 28 in Philadelphia .

Paul Dogboe had expressed that his son not only will defeated Magdaleno, but deported the Mexican-American born in Las Vegas after the victory by throwing it on the wall that divides both countries and in the celebration, they will present the world title to the President of the United States, Donald Trump.

“If Dogboe defeats Magdaleno, I will ask my promoter Lou DiBella to fight him,” said Yenifel Vicente.

“If we have to fight in Ghana, we will be ready to travel and put the Latinos and people who respect others regardless of their race with a big victory for them. Those comments create hatred and divisions. We live in a world where we all breathe the same air and we are the same. I will not allow them to insult our Mexican brothers and others who work hard in search of a better quality of life, “said Yenifel Vicente.

Vicente has won six consecutive bouts, including the PBC’s Knockout of the Year, a three-round knockout over the undefeated favorite, Juan ‘Baby Tito’ Dominguez.

Vicente’s manager, Raúl Patrana, President of the ‘Spartan Boxing Club’, is willing to help with the fight.

“If Dogboe wins, we are willing to make the necessary arrangements so that Dogboe’s first defense can be against Vicente who is ranked 12th in the WBO and of course in the best coliseum available in Ghana. PHILADELPHIA – After ten years of celebrating the biggest and best achievements of the Philadelphia-area boxing scene, the Briscoe Awards will change the timing of their annual event, from October to March.
“For a few years now, I’ve considered moving the awards up to the first part of the year,” said John DiSanto, founder of the Briscoe Awards. “The original Fall time slot caused a lot of confusion, because by the time we gave out the awards, the fights were old news. Moving to March will allow us to give out the awards shortly after the fight year ends. I’m a little nervous about making a change, but in the long run, the move will only make the Briscoe Awards better.”
The Briscoe Awards honor the key fights and fighters of the Philly area every year. A total of eleven awards will be give out DEZE SUNDAY MARCH 25TH AT 1 PM ET, which includes prizes for the “Philly Fight of the Year”, de “Philly Fight of the Year”, de “Knock-out van het Jaar”, “Amateur van het jaar”, “Rookie van het Jaar”, “Prospect van het Jaar”, “Performance of the Year”, “Photo of the Year”, en meer.

Undefeated Super Flyweight Dylan “The Real Dyl” Price reflects on Briscoe Award and upcoming April 21st fight

PHILADELPHIA (Maart 15, 2018)–It will be a busy few weeks for undefeated super flyweight prospect Dylan “The Real Dyl” Price.

JARON ENNIS IS THE ONE TO WATCH IN PHILLY

PHILADELPHIA – Twenty year old welterweight boxer Jaron “Boots” Ennis will honored as “The One to Watch” bij de 11th Annual Briscoe Awards op Maart 25, 2018. BRUNSON SETS RECORD WITH THREE BRISCOE AWARDS

PHILADELPHIA – PA State junior middleweight champion Tyrone Brunson will be honored with three Briscoe Awards for the eventful year he had in 2017. During the year, Brunson’s efforts won him three bouts, two belts, and kept his career on track for a big fight in 2018. For these accomplishments, Brunson will take home three Briscoe Awards op March 25th– “Philly Fighter of the Year”, “Philly Fight of the Year”, en “Performance of the Year”. This will be the first time a fighter has won three Briscoes in a single year.
“Danny Garcia, Steve Cunningham, Bryant Jennings and Tevin Farmer have all won two before, but Brunson will be the first guy to get three on the same day,” said John DiSanto, founder of the Briscoe Awards. “Tyrone had a great year in 2017, so I’m happy for him. The voters got it right.”
In addition to the “Fighter van het Jaar” onderscheiding, Brunson’s give-and-take battle with former world champion Kermit Cintron was named the “2017 Philly Fight of the Year”. In the fight, Brunson came off the floor twice to stop Cintron in round five. For that win, Brunson also earned the Briscoe Award for the “Performance of the Year”. MARCEL RIVERS TO BE HONORED FOR BIGGEST KO OF THE YEAR

SPARROW BREAKS THROUGH WITH TWO BRISCOE AWARDS

PHILADELPHIA – Rising Philadelphia boxing star, Avery Sparrow, really made a career breakthrough in 2017. The junior lightweight won four bouts during the year, including two main events, and two national TV appearances. He started 2017 as a promising young local, but by the end of the year, Sparrow had broken into the world rankings.
Op Maart 25, 2018, Sparrow will be honored with two Briscoe Awards for his accomplishments. Heralded Prospect Ruben Villa Remains Undefeated with Unanimous Decision this Past Friday Night in Ontario, Californië

PHILADELPHIA, PENN./ORANGE, Calif. (Februari. 19, 2017)- Heralded prospect Ruben Villa (10-0, 4 KO) van Salinas, Calif. made it ten straight wins to start his career by outpointing veteran Juan Sandoval (15-18, 5 KO) van Mexico. Scores: 59-55, 60-54 tweemaal.
The bout was the co-feature this past Vrijdag night at the Doubletree Hotel in Ontario, Californië.

Villa, 20, capitalized on his southpaw stance by landing a strong jab and countering with a right hook that routinely found its mark. Sandoval often looked confused and never managed to find any angles against the busier Villa.
“I just tried to keep the pressure on him from start to finish,” zei Villa, who is co-promoted by Banner Promotions and Thompson Boxing. “I think he fought a cautious fight, but I was still able to land a lot of punches in every round.”
Villa was most impressive in the fourth and fifth rounds when he delivered numerous sets of combinations that stunned the taller Sandoval. While Villa kept his unbeaten streak alive op vrijdag nacht, een ander, less recognizable streak ended. In his previous unanimous decision wins, Villa had won every round on every scorecard.
