Greg Cohen Promotions Signs Heavyweight Contender Joey Dawejko to a Promotional Agreement

Greg Cohen Promotions proudly announces the signing of heavyweight contender Joey Dawejko (17-4-3, 10 Kos).

Dawejko (pronounced Da-Vayko) Filadelfijas, has been a classic underachiever, līdz šim, in his professional career, but says the addition of Cohen as his promoter is just one of the changes he has made.

The 26-year-old Philadelphian has always been a talent but, admittedly, hasn’t always been in the best shape for his fights. “My manager, Mark Cipparone, changed my life,” he explained. “I used to take fights on a week’s notice for no money, so I never gave it 100%. Vairāk, I was working 12-14 hours a day as a roofer. The first day I got with him, I told him I can’t make the gym today because I’m going to be working and couldn’t get there in time. He said ‘Quit. This is your full-time job now.'”

“Everything is going to be different from now on,” Said Dawejko. “I’m a different person, a different fighter, different everything and I’m getting a lot better. I have a new team and I’m training out in Los Angeles. I’m living a new life and happy to finally be working with Greg Cohen. He can get me the big fights I need. It’s going to be great because I just need a chance at another big-name opponent.”

Despite his relatively young 26 gadiem, Dawejko has been boxing since age nine, where he debuted as a junior flyweight. The lifelong experience enables him to use his 5′ 10″ height to work move in under the punches of today’s heavyweight giants and do solid work. He managed to hold top contender Jarrell “Big Baby” Miller to a draw in 2013.

It was a decision loss to top contender Amir Mansour in 2015, tomēr, that brought him forward leaps and bounds as a fighter.

“It was my first 10-round fight and I just wasn’t myself that night. It cost me a loss, but it was probably a good thing because I learned so much from that fight. As soon as it was over, I was a better fighter. I realized what I have to do better and different.”

“Joey is still young for a heavyweight,” teica Gregs Cohen. “Pagātnē, he hasn’t been as well-prepared as he should have been and still managed to beat almost everyone he faced. A focused and determined Joey Dawejko is a problem for anyone in the world and I’m 100% sure Joey can win a world title. Dawejko says that while he’s happy to be away from the distractions of home to train and finally in a position to reach his potential, he misses his young and growing family.

Philadelphia – Janvāris 28, 2017 – Victory Boxing Promotions kicked off 2017 with a bang at 2300 Arēna South Philadelphia. Philly boxing fans were treated to seven fights featuring undefeated, world class talent, headlined by four-time National Amateur Champion Džerons “Zābaki” Eniss versus Puerto Rico’s Elvin Perez.

Ennis remained undefeated when an early body shot brought Perez to his knees in the first round of their scheduled six round contest. Perez was unable to continue, and Ennis improved to 9-0, ar 8 of his wins coming by knockout.

It is the first of three events that Victory Boxing has on the books at the storied arena in 2017. Six-foot Philly featherweight Don Smith (3-0, 2KO) is also in action versus Indiana’s Chris Nelson.

Those dates, which will be in April, Maijs, Jūnijs, September and December, and will help make KIng’s Promotions the busiest promoter on the east coast for the 3rd straight year.
Those five dates are added to at least four dates at the Sands Bethlehem Event Center.
King’s Promotions 1st date of 2017 will come on Sestdiena, February 11th at the Rosecroft Raceway in Fort Washington, Maryland.

PHILADELPHIA – Decembris 27, 2016 – Victory Boxing Promotions kicks off 2017 ar “Super Brawl,” a ten-bout card featuring world class talent from Philadelphia and beyond, Sestdiena, 28. janvāris pie 2300 Arena in South Philly.
Džerons Eniss (8-0, 7KO) will showcase his talents at welterweight in his ninth fight since his professional debut in April of last year. Eniss, who took home his second Briscoe Award earlier this year for his outstanding amateur career, delivered a phenomenal performance in his sixth round stoppage of Marucs Beckford (3-5-3, 1KO) šī mēneša sākumā. Chester, PA (Septembris 28, 2016)–Undefeated junior welterweight David “TwoGunz” Gonzales is looking for a big effort this Piektdienas nakts when he takes on the tested Samuel Seah in an eight-round bout that will headline a 9-fight card at Harrahs Philadelphia.

“We are both from Philly. People look forward to seeing these matchups and especially this early in our careers, but I am the one that will have my hands raised.”
Yeah, who has had a couple fights and wins on national television, so Gonzales knows a win will put him on the map in the junior welterweight division.
“He is known in Philly and he had a big win over (previously undefeated” O'Shaquie Foster. I will show that I am on that level and this will start getting me higher profile fights.”

Lopez San Antonio, Texas is ranked 4th by the WBA and has a record of 15-0-1 with seven knockouts.
“My camp was pretty good, and just getting down to the nitty gritty. I was sparring two days a week and I am ready to go,” Said Lopez.

The 12 year veteran also has fought former world champion Eric Morel and future world champion Jessie Magdaleno.
Valcarcel is coming off a 6th round stoppage defeat to undefeated Erick DeLeon on June 25th in Dallas, Teksasa.
“I know he is a 2004 Olimpietis. He is a veteran and a crafty fighter. He has a surviving style in the sense he is defensive and crafty. He is not a knockout puncher but you have to respect anyone who puts on those gloves,” said Lopez of his opponent.
Lopez is ready to show his skills in front of the knowledgeable Philadelphia fight crowd.
“I always know that Philly is a great fight town. I actually want to see the park here “The Fresh Prince” was bullied at,” Lopez said laughingly.
