Filadelfia, Pensilvania. (Marzo 11, 2017) – Tyrone Brunson won a 8-round split decision over Bandon Quarles in the main event of a 8-bout card in front of a packed house at the SugarHouse Casino.

It was a action filled fight that saw both guys be the aggressor at different stages of the fight. Brunson showed a more versatile side of him, that many boxing fans haven;t seen in years from him. One which differed from the prodigious knockout puncher that Brunson was known for when he knocked out the 1st 19 fighters he faced in the 1st round.
This Brunson used his legs to set up punches off of the jab, which he also landed several times with power behind that stick. Quarles was very game as he had his moments and landed hard shots that kept Brunson honest. Brunson landed more and harder, and he came out with the victory by scores of 78-74 y 77-75. Quarles took a card at 77-75.
Brunson of Philadelphia is now 24-6-2. Quarles of Alexandria, Virginia es 18-4-1.

A late point deduction cost David Gonzales a split decision as he dropped the six-round bout to Juan Rodriguez in a junior welterweight bout
It was a tough grind-it-out fight until Gonzales was deducted a point in the 30 seconds for holding for holding.

Rodriguez of Haymarket, Virginia won two cards 58-55 y 57-56, while Gonzales of Philadelphia took a card 57-56.

Rodriguez is 7-6-1. Gonzales is 8-2-2.

Carlos Roasrio got off the floor but scored a 3rd round stoppage over Lance Williams in a scheduled 6-round lightweight bout.

Rosario scored a knockdown in round two from a right hand. Seconds later, it was Williams who floored Rosario with a hard right in the corner. Sam Oropeza made an emphatic pro debut as he needed just 35 seconds to destroy fellow pro debuter Joe Parkinson in their cruiserweight bout.

Oropeza landed a left that dropped Parkinson. The back of Parkinson’s head crashed on the canvas, and he was knocked out cold for several moments before ringside physicians were able to to get him to his feet.

Brandon Robinson won a 4-round unanimous decision over Lamont McLaughlin in a light heavyweight bout.

Robinson dropped McLaughlin in round three and cruised home to a victory by 40-35 tarjetas.

Robinson of Philadelphia is 2-1. McLaughlin of Philadelphia was making his pro debut.

Vincent Floyd stopped Blaine Donkor in round two of their scheduled 4-round welterweight bout.

Floyd landed a hard flurry that forced referee Steve Smoger to stop the bout at 1:48.

Greg Cohen Promotions Signs Heavyweight Contender Joey Dawejko to a Promotional Agreement

Greg Cohen Promotions proudly announces the signing of heavyweight contender Joey Dawejko (17-4-3, 10 KOs).

Dawejko (pronounced Da-Vayko) de Filadelfia, has been a classic underachiever, hasta ahora, in his professional career, but says the addition of Cohen as his promoter is just one of the changes he has made.

The 26-year-old Philadelphian has always been a talent but, admittedly, hasn’t always been in the best shape for his fights. “My manager, Marcos Cipparone, changed my life,” él explicó. “I used to take fights on a week’s notice for no money, so I never gave it 100%. Más, I was working 12-14 hours a day as a roofer. The first day I got with him, I told him I can’t make the gym today because I’m going to be working and couldn’t get there in time. He said ‘Quit. This is your full-time job now.'”

“Everything is going to be different from now on,” Said Dawejko. “I’m a different person, a different fighter, different everything and I’m getting a lot better. I have a new team and I’m training out in Los Angeles. I’m living a new life and happy to finally be working with Greg Cohen. He can get me the big fights I need. It’s going to be great because I just need a chance at another big-name opponent.”

Despite his relatively young 26 año, Dawejko has been boxing since age nine, where he debuted as a junior flyweight. The lifelong experience enables him to use his 5′ 10″ height to work move in under the punches of today’s heavyweight giants and do solid work. He managed to hold top contender Jarrell “Bebe Grande” Miller to a draw in 2013.

It was a decision loss to top contender Amir Mansour in 2015, sin embargo, that brought him forward leaps and bounds as a fighter.

“It was my first 10-round fight and I just wasn’t myself that night. It cost me a loss, but it was probably a good thing because I learned so much from that fight. As soon as it was over, I was a better fighter. I realized what I have to do better and different.”

“Joey is still young for a heavyweight,” dijo Greg Cohen. “En el pasado, he hasn’t been as well-prepared as he should have been and still managed to beat almost everyone he faced. Filadelfia – Enero 28, 2017 – Victory Boxing Promotions kicked off 2017 with a bang at 2300 Arena en el sur de Filadelfia. Philly boxing fans were treated to seven fights featuring undefeated, world class talent, headlined by four-time National Amateur Champion Jaron “Botas” Ennis versus Puerto Rico’s Elvin Perez.

Ennis remained undefeated when an early body shot brought Perez to his knees in the first round of their scheduled six round contest. Perez was unable to continue, and Ennis improved to 9-0, con 8 of his wins coming by knockout.

En el evento co-principal, local boxer/cop Manny locura sensationally knocked out Carlos Morgan (12-5, 6KO) en la primera ronda, bringing his record to 9-0, 7KO.

Super Brawl: The Undefeated to feature elite prospects from Philadelphia and beyond

FILADELFIA – Enero 26, 2017 – Victory Boxing Promotions returns to 2300 Arena en Filadelfia tonight with an eight-bout card stacked with elite, perspectivas invictas. It is the first of three events that Victory Boxing has on the books at the storied arena in 2017. Filadelfia, Pensilvania (Enero 12, 2017)– Marshall Kauffman’s King’s Promotions is excited to announce the promotional company has inked a 5-fight deal to stage high quality boxing events at the 2300 Arena en Filadelfia.

Those dates, which will be in April, Mayo, Junio, September and December, and will help make KIng’s Promotions the busiest promoter on the east coast for the 3rd straight year.
Those five dates are added to at least four dates at the Sands Bethlehem Event Center.
King’s Promotions 1st date of 2017 will come on Sábado, 11 de febrero at the Rosecroft Raceway in Fort Washington, Maryland.

FILADELFIA – Diciembre 27, 2016 – Victory Boxing Promotions kicks off 2017 con “Super Brawl,” a ten-bout card featuring world class talent from Philadelphia and beyond, Sábado, 28 de enero en 2300 Arena in South Philly.
Jaron Ennis (8-0, 7KO) will showcase his talents at welterweight in his ninth fight since his professional debut in April of last year. Ennis, who took home his second Briscoe Award earlier this year for his outstanding amateur career, delivered a phenomenal performance in his sixth round stoppage of Marucs Beckford (3-5-3, 1KO) a principios de este mes. The Ennis family has deep roots in the Philadelphia boxing scene. The 19-year-old is trained by his father and former professional boxer, Derrick “Bozy” Ennis, and is the younger brother of Derrick “Pooh” Ennis and Farah Ennis, who were themselves accomplished professional boxers.

Another Philadelphia favorite, supergallo Manny “Dolor mayor” Locura (8-0, 6KO), continues his quest to remain undefeated, while setting an example for the kids in his community. I haven’t watched any tape on him, but I know the only way he can win is if he is in better shape and I know that’s not possible because I am great shape. I am also naturally bigger, so I think that will be a factor.”
This is another “Philly vs. Philly” duelo, which is always special to the fans in attendance.
“We are both from Philly. People look forward to seeing these matchups and especially this early in our careers, but I am the one that will have my hands raised.”
Sí, who has had a couple fights and wins on national television, so Gonzales knows a win will put him on the map in the junior welterweight division.

“My camp was pretty good, and just getting down to the nitty gritty. I was sparring two days a week and I am ready to go,” dijo López.

Valcarcel is coming off a 6th round stoppage defeat to undefeated Erick DeLeon on June 25th en Dallas, Texas.
“I know he is a 2004 Olímpico. He is a veteran and a crafty fighter. He has a surviving style in the sense he is defensive and crafty. He is not a knockout puncher but you have to respect anyone who puts on those gloves,” said Lopez of his opponent.
