Elite Prospect Michael Dutchover HighlightsPath to GloryUndercard Friday Night

PARA DIVULGAÇÃO IMEDIATA

LARANJA, Califa. (Junho 20, 2017) – Júnior leve Michael Dutchover (4-0, 4 KOs), a highly accomplished amateur and recently turned professional, highlights Sexta-feira noite de “Path to Gloryundercard do Doubletree Hotel em Ontario, Califa.
Watch Dutchover vs. Carrizoza and the rest of the 6-fight card on TB Presents: Path To Glory, live streaming on ThompsonBoxing.com e Facebook Vivo começando no 7:45 p.m. PST / 10:45 p.m. HUSA.
Os ingressos para “Path to Glory” custam $40, $60, & $100 e estão disponíveis para compra on-line em ThompsonBoxing.com, ou pelo telefone 714-935-0900.
Dutchover, who trains in Southern California but resides in Midland, Tex., faces his toughest opponent to date: once-beaten Miguel Carrizoza (10-1, 2 KOs) of Hermosillo, Mex.
The bout marks Dutchover’s second 6-round fight of his young career. He stormed into the paid ranks with four straight knockout wins.
The plan this year is to up my level of competition,” said Dutchover, who recently sparred with world title challenger Petr Petrov. “I know I’m ready for the challenge. I want to work my way to the top, and in order to do that I need to challenge myself.
Dutchover had a successful amateur run that saw him win nine national titles, a bronze at the 2015 U.S. Olimpíadas, and a runner-up finish at last year’s National Golden Gloves competition. Dutchover, 19, believes he was built to fight professionally.
“Como amador, I often boxed in the pro-style,” said Dutchover, who counts Danny Zamora, older brother Junior Dutchover, and Javier Gomez as coaches. “I didn’t really throw a lot of quick, small punches that define the amateurs. I was more aggressive in my approach. I worked the body and threw a lot of power shots.
Detailed opponent scouting reports in the early years of a boxer’s professional career are often not available. Dutchover has an idea of what to expect from Carrizoza, but he will rely mostly on his extensive amateur background.
I had such a long amateur career that I’ve seen basically every style in the book,” said Dutchover, who is promoted by Banner Promotions and Thompson Boxing. “I’m going to adapt in the ring and be prepared for whatever he brings. I had an excellent training camp. I’m in great shape and ready to go after another win.
We are looking forward to Micheal stepping up in competition na sexta-feira noite,” said Matthew Rowland, Vice-presidente de Promoções Banner. “Michael has shown that he is ready for this challenge, and we expect another terrific performance.

Ruben Villa to Test Unbeaten Record on “Sangue novo” Undercard Friday Night

PARA DIVULGAÇÃO IMEDIATA

LARANJA, Califa. (Maio 17, 2017) – Blue chip featherweight prospect Ruben Villa (5-0, 3 KOs) headlines an action-packed “Sangue novo” undercard when he puts his undefeated record on the line against Anthony de Jesus Ruiz (2-2, 2 KOs) este Sexta-feira, Maio 19, from the Doubletree Hotel in Ontario, Califa.
Thompson Boxing’s 17 year anniversary show will be live streamed on its site e Facebook Vivo começando no 7:45 p.m. PDT nesta sexta-feira.
Os ingressos para “Sangue novo” custam $40, $60, & $100 e estão disponíveis para compra on-line em ThompsonBoxing.com, ou pelo telefone 714-935-0900.
Sexta-feira bout marks the fourth time Villa will fight in front of an expected sold out crowd at the Doubletree Ontario. It will be his first, contudo, fighting on a live streamed show.
I’m definitely excited for it. It’s great exposure for us new guys trying to make a name for ourselves,” said Villa, who is promoted by Banner Promotions and Thompson Boxing. “I know a lot of my friends and family will be watching. It also gives an opportunity for boxing fans all over the country to tune in and watch some quality fights.
vila, a southpaw, is coming off his East Coast debut in April where we notched his third career knockout win over the previously unbeaten Luis Diaz Torres. Villa stopped the stiff-chinned Torres in the sixth and final round. It was the first, sixth round fight of Villa’s career, one that tough him several impactful lessons.
It’s important to stick to the plan and listen to my corner,” said the 20-year-old, who hails from Salinas, Califa. “He was somewhat reckless so I needed to show a little more patience with him. I’m used to fighting guys who are a little more technical. Diaz was able to take a shot. He was willing to absorb two or three punches to set up one of his own. I learned not to give him those opportunities.
Para Sexta-feira six-round bout versus Ruiz, Villa spent most of his training camp sparring at the Robert Garcia Gym in Riverside, widely seen as one of Southern California’s most boxing rich environments. His chief sparring partner was Hector Tanajara, another highly regarded prospect with an undefeated record.
“Campo de treinamento foi ótimo,” said Villa, who as an amateur won back-to-back National Golden Gloves championships. “I had quality sparring sessions against Hector Tanajara. He fights one division higher than me so it’s always good to learn from guys that are naturally bigger than you.
While Villa comes from a well-rounded amateur career that saw him bank two wins against fellow high ceiling prospect Shakur Stevenson, the Northern California native is always on the quest to better his skills.
I’ve been working on using more angles to set up punches,” Villa said. “The goal is to develop better range with my jab so I can be more effective. With Ruiz, I plan to feel him out for the first round and then I’ll start going at his weaknesses. A lot of what I plan to do will come off the jab.
The live stream, intitulou “TB Presents: Sangue novo,” will be anchored by blow-by-blow announcer Beto Duran with Steve Kim providing expert color commentary.

“”I’m glad I was able to keep Logan and Mladen fighting even after our card was postponed,” said Lee Baxter. “The card will be rescheduled in the near future but in the meantime it’s important to keep my fighters busy. Logan’s been very sharp in training and Mladen has the look of a good heavyweight prospect based on what we saw in his pro debut.”

Baxter, who is growing his stable of talented boxers, also looks forward to the career changing opportunity his fighter Samuel Vargas has when he faces unbeaten Danny GarciaNovembro 12.

“We’ve got a lot of nice things on the horizon and I believe that Sammy is going to surprise a lot of people. His trainers know everything there is to be known about Garcia and Team Vargas was thrilled when we heard he accepted the fight.

I’ve also got Kane Heron returning from a few lingering injuries and he’ll be back by the end of the year. He is a truly special talent and one of boxing’s best kept secrets. Mais importante, we will continue to grow and invest in our fighters while providing quality events in Canada.”
