The fighters spoke to media at Dream Hotel Downtown in Manhattan to discuss their 140-pound clash that will headline an exciting night of action later this summer.

“I’ll do whatever it takes to win this fight. I’m more of a boxer-puncher but if I need to press the fight and put pressure on, I’m going to be ready to do that.
“I know that we definitely have to be in the best shape possible. I am not going to take this lightly. I am not thinking it’s going to be an easy win for me. I think it’s going to be a tough fight. I believe he’s going to be ready 100% and that’s going to make it a tough fight for me but overall I think I’m the better fighter, better boxer and I’ll have enough tools to bring in the ring with me.

Broner, a three-division world champion by the age of 23, and one of the youngest four-division world champions in boxing history, remains one of the most accomplished and popular athletes in the sport today. Among the top 140-pounders in the world, Broner is undefeated at or below 140 pounds with his only two losses coming against welterweight world champions Marcos Maidana and Shawn Porter. Hoffman worked with 38 world champions starting in 1980 με Joe Manleyand later including his first world heavyweight champion, Michael Benntt, as well as others such as Hasim Rahman, Ιράν Barkley και James Toney.

Το Gleason’s Gym ήταν πολύ επιτυχημένο με το stoPD μας! Πρόγραμμα.(Υποστήριξη και εκπαίδευση για την αντιμετώπιση της νόσου του Πάρκινσον)
Τώρα θέλουμε να επεκτείνουμε αυτή την επιτυχία με το πρόγραμμά μας για την καταπολέμηση των παιδιών με Αυτισμό.
Αυτισμός, ή διαταραχή του φάσματος του αυτισμού, αναφέρεται σε ένα ευρύ φάσμα συνθηκών που χαρακτηρίζονται από προκλήσεις με κοινωνικές δεξιότητες, επαναλαμβανόμενες συμπεριφορές, ομιλία και μη λεκτική επικοινωνία, καθώς και από μοναδικές δυνάμεις και διαφορές. Είναι πλέον γνωστό ότι δεν υπάρχει ένας αυτισμός αλλά πολλοί τύποι, προκαλείται από συνδυασμό γενετικών και περιβαλλοντικών επιδράσεων.
Τα Κέντρα Ελέγχου και Πρόληψης Νοσημάτων (CDC) εκτιμά τον επιπολασμό του αυτισμού ως 1 σε 68 παιδιά στις Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες. Αυτό περιλαμβάνει 1 σε 42 αγόρια και 1 σε 189 κορίτσια.
Το πρόγραμμά μας θα έχει μαθήματα πυγμαχίας για μαθητές στο φάσμα του αυτισμού. Θα εργαστούμε για την κοινωνικοποίηση, επικοινωνία, εστίαση και οργάνωση μέσω της γυμναστικής πυγμαχίας.
Το πρόγραμμα θα ενσωματώσει τα βασικά στοιχεία της πυγμαχίας και μια κυκλική προπόνηση που θα τροποποιηθεί για να ταιριάζει σε όλες τις ανάγκες των μαθητών, ενώ θα χρησιμοποιεί στηρίγματα και θα προτρέπει διαδικαστικές τεχνικές.
Οι εκπαιδευτές είναι η Jessica Margulies (ιδιοκτήτης του Bout Fitness) πιστοποιημένο Δάσκαλο Παιδικής Ηλικίας/Ειδικής Αγωγής. NASM CPT και ο Ernesto Colon πιστοποιημένος Βοηθός Δάσκαλος Ειδικής Αγωγής. NASM CPT

New York, Νέα Υόρκη (Μάιος 3, 2017) – Retired professional boxer, current public speaker, 2003 West Point graduate and Army Public Affairs Officer Boyd Melson announced he’ll run for Congress in 2018 for New York’s 11th District, covering Staten Island and South Brooklyn.
Born to a Jewish mother & Louisiana Creole father, Melson’s a lifelong New Yorker who’s dedicated most of his adult life to serving the public. The 35-year-old has resided in Manhattan, Brooklyn and White Plains. Melson also has close ties to Staten Island, where he currently runs free boxing clinics for men and women battling or recovering from addiction.
Following an outstanding amateur boxing career, Melson turned pro in 2010 with the sole intention of raising funds and awareness. Between donating 100% of his fight purses, private donations in his honor and charity galas, Melson, Co-Founder of Team Fight To Walk, helped raise more than $400,000 to help cure Chronic Spinal Cord Injuries, combat Staten Island’s drug epidemic and assist his childhood friend with a son battling brain cancer. He retired from boxing in 2016 με 15-2-1 ρεκόρ, winning a World Boxing Council (WBC) United States Championship in 2015.
Upon the competition of his final professional fight, Promoter Lou DiBella said he’d never promoted a better man than Boyd Melson.

As a public and motivational speaker, Melson’s addressed an array of audiences, many of which he spoke to pro bono. His audiences include attendees at New York’s 2017 Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Conference, elementary to college age students, Army Battalions, Army Corps level leadership, college sports teams, Τύχη 500 companies and religious organizations. He also served as a mentor at Steve Harvey’s Youth Mentorship Camp in July 2016 and was a special guest at various charitable events in New York.
Currently serving our country through the US Army Reserves, literally fighting to raise funds and having traveled the country to assist and motivate others, Melson epitomizes the meaning of a public servant.
