Fox doesn’t have to look far for motivation, as he brother, talented middleweight Alantez Fox has a bout on February 25th for the NABF title, and the two train side by side with each other under the guidance of their trainer, who also happens to be their father, Troy Fox,
“We are both very motivated. We are there for each other. We feed off each other in the gym and it is a great motivator to train next to him every day.”
A win over Wiggins will keep Fox moving towards his short term goal for 2017.
“I am looking to get in a few more eight-round bouts, and then be able to get some some television bouts. As long as I continue to stay busy, I see that happening.”

Crystal City, Virginia (Augusts 18, 2016)–One of the best stories in boxing will have another chapter written šo piektdien night as Devar Ferhadi uzņemas Christopher Petty in a four-round bout at the Crystal City Hilton in Crystal City, Virginia.
Galvenajā pasākumā, Undefeated Mykal Fox will make his 2nd headlining appearance šo piektdien night when he takes on Somner Martin in a junior welterweight bout scheduled for eight rounds
Ferhadi, of Frederick, Maryland has a perfect mark of 6-0 ar pieciem knockouts, just completed his third year of medical school in his native Kurdistan.
Because he finished up school at the end of June, the 21 year-old started his training camp in Kurdistan, before heading back to the states to spar with the likes of undefeated middleweight Immanuwel Aleem, undefeated junior middleweight Jarrett Hurd and recent light heavyweight world title challenger Thomas Williams.
“This has been a long camp, but I am ready to fight,” said Ferhadi. “I started over there and I came back home to finish camp off.”
Ferhadi, who will pursue General or internal medicine when his fight days are complete, is ready for what the unknown Petty will bring.
” He is a last-minute replacement and a southpaw, But I have prepared hard and I prepared to win.”
There were several opponents that were offered the fight with Ferhadi and due to his amateur pedigree combined with the world class sparring that Ferhadi consistently gets when he is home in Maryland, he is looking to step up the competition.
“We are always looking to fight better opponents and we have no problem stepping up.”
This will be Devar’s first fight since February, where he was home from school long enough to stop Travis Davidson in one round in Roanoke, Virginia. But between training and a heavy school load, Ferhadi is grateful for the time off from the ring.
“The time off actually helps me. It’s tough jumping from one camp right into another one, but I am ready to go and expect me to put on a show.”
Said Ferhadi’s manager, Jason Boyer, “Devar has three more years of medical school and when he is completed that, he will be come a full-time boxer. Tajā brīdī, he will just be about 24 gadu vecs, so I know the best boxing years have yet to come.”

Vašingtona, D.C.. (Februāris, 26, 2016) – RĪT NIGHT, 27. februāris,King’s Promotions returns to our nation’s capital of Vašingtona, D.C with a big night of boxing at the Walter E. Vašingtonas konvencija Center.
Galvenajā pasākumā, Ty Barnett take on former world title challenger Daniel Attah in a Super Lightweight battle scheduled for 8-rounds.
In one of the chief support bouts, undefeated Lightweight, Mykal Fox will look to stay perfect when he takes on veteran Claudinei Lacerda in a bout scheduled for 6-rounds.
Fox is promoted by King’s Promotions.
Fox no Forestville, Maryland ir ieraksts 8-0 with two knockouts while Lacerda of Brazil has considerably more experience as he is 17-13-1 ar 12 knockouts.
“My training has been great. I have had great sparring with different looks. I have been in there with puncher, boxers and even some MMA fighters, so I am ready for anything,”teica 20 year-old Fox.
Lacerda is a grizzled veteran, who has been a Brazilian Super Welterweight champion as well as the WBO Latino Interim Lightweight champion.
“My opponent has more than 30 cīņas. He has been a champion, but this is nothing new. My last opponent (Adam Mate, 18-6) had twenty-four fights, so I feel it’s a great opportunity for me to continue fighting quality opponents.”
Lapsa, along with his father/trainer Troy, doe not believable that fighting such veteran fighters is too-much, too-soon for the fighter known as “Profesors”.
“My father believes in me and what I am capable of doing. I work hard and am always trying to move forward. I am on a great pace. Is it too fast? I don’t think so, because I also know what I am capable of. “
Fox has been building his name in the local market as every fight of his career has been in the greater Maryland/D.C area and he embraces the opportunities to please the home fans.
“It is always a pleasure to fight at home. I always have a huge turnout and it is a good way to build my fan base. I am thankful and excited. Camp is the hard part and that is done. I can’t be more excited to put on a great performance sestdien nakts.”

Barnett is excited and honored to be headlining in front of his hometown fans against a former world title challenger.
“Everything is going great in training. Attah is a cagey veteran, who is a southpaw that fights everyone. He has gone the distance with a lot of good fighters such as “Chop Chop” Corley. He was an Olympian in 1996, but he is no threat to me,” said Barnett.
“It means a lot to me to headline at home here in Washington. I can fight in front a lot of my family and friends.”
Barnett knows that with a couple wins, a big opportunity can arise in the 140-pound division.
