(Oktober 19, 2017, 2017) – His induction into the Connecticut Boxing Hall of Fame (CBHOF) v soboto noč, Oktober 28, as part of the six-member Class of 2017, will cap the boxing career of retiring judge Clark Sammartino pri 13TH Letni CBHOF Gala Indukcijsko Večerja v Uncas Ballroom na Mohegan Sun.

A graduate of Brown University, the now 80-year-old Sammartino has enjoyed two other careers as an oral surgeon and investment advisor at Blue Fin in Providence, in addition to his role as an international boxing judge since 1985.
“I first got into boxing because Joey Angelo married my cousin,” Sammartino explained. “He fought back in the early forties. Joey fought Willie Pep twice and Sandy Saddler. That’s what got me started. We used to have the great Ponedeljek Night Fights at Rhode Island Auditorium and I remember watching Rocky Marciano fight “Tiger” Ted Lowry there.”
Because he was a successful oral surgeon, Clark could take long weekends to judge fights all over the world. His first and most memorable world title fight was Vinny Paz-Greg Haughn I. Through his long career, Sammartino judged more than 400 pro pretepi, Vključno 50 major world title fights.

Sammartino, who proudly says he never missed a day of work in 40 let, has decided to retire, although he’ll remain a boxing fans for the rest of his life. “I started slowing down at my age, doing local shows and maybe three or four world title fights a year, mostly WBO and IBF,” Sammartino remarked. “I had a tough bout with pneumonia the past 5-6 months and that made working difficult.”
His CBHOF induction is a fitting ending and tremendous tribute to Sammartino and his career in boxing. “I’m humbled to be inducted into the Connecticut Boxing Hall of Fame,” he said. “This is a great way to end my career.”

Maja 27, the festivities continued into the Fight Fan Experience, a festive boxing themed environment that included a Boxing Fantasy Camp, Pop-Up Barber Shop, Jack Johnson Exhibit Icons of Boxing, The Legacy Exists Joe Frazier Scholarship Fund, James O’Neal Sculptures, The Press of Atlantic City Exhibit, Food vendors and music by DJ Young Hitta.

The evening of May 27th concluded with an Honoree Gala in the Art Gallery celebrating “Women in Boxing.” Host for the evening, Nino Del Buono. Honorees included: Cathy Burke, Marian Muhammad, Joan Pierce, Renee Aiken and Althea “Vern” Saunders.

The culminating Induction celebration concluded Sunday, May 28th with a little over 500 gostov. The master of ceremonies for the ceremony, President of NJ Boxing Hall of Fame, Henry Hascup. The star-studded Charter Class members included: Don King, Michael Spinks, Larry Hazzard, Steve Smoger, Mike Rossman, Dwight Muhammad Qawi, Frank Gelb, Don Elbaum, J Russell Peltz, Dave Bontempo, Ken Condon, Robert Lee, Sr., Larry Holmes and Mike Tyson.

Las Vegas (April 26, 2017) – 2 Čas svetovni prvak Marcos Maidana je potrdil, da se bo pojavil na sestanku & Pozdravite njegove oboževalce na Kongresni center v Las Vegasu za tretjo izdajo Box Fan Expo ki bo potekalo Sobota maj 6, 2017 od 10. do 17. ure, med vikendom Cinco De Mayo. Boxing Expo bo sovpadal tudi z mega bojem med Canelom Alvarezom in Juliom Cesarjem Chavezom mlajšim, ki bo potekalo kasneje tistega večera.
Maidana se bo prvič pojavila v teh letih’ Expo pri Svetovni boksarski zvezi “WBA” kabino in bo podpisal rokavice, fotografije in blago. Ljubitelji boksa bodo imeli tudi odlično priložnost za fotografiranje “Kitajski” argentinska boksarska zvezda. Navijače bodo v teh letih s presenečenji pozdravili tudi Maidana in WBA’ Expo.
Maidana je argentinska nekdanja profesionalna boksarka, ki je tekmovala iz 2004 da 2014. Je dvotehtni svetovni prvak, po WBA (Redno) super lahki naslov iz 2011 da 2012, in naslov WBA v srednji kategoriji iz 2013 da 2014. Vznemirljiv in vsestranski borec za pritisk za ogled v ringu, Maidana je bil dobro znan po svoji močni udarni moči, vedno dostavljal neverjetne predstave in se ni nikoli ustavil v nobeni od njegovih 40 strokovne boji.

As much as I hate to sell my most valuable piece of boxing memorabilia, I don’t have a man cave or game room to put this in, so this signed Mike Tyson glove is on the market. This comes with an official certificate of authenticity and was signed about 8 years ago in Las Vegas. The glove itself is a Muhammad Ali Signature Series glove with Ali’s signature printed on it at the factory. I am asking $500 and will ship it to you anywhere in the US for an additional $10.
