EWER TENTARÁ FAZER HISTÓRIA DE CAMPEONATO NO NEF 32

Lewiston, Maine (Dezembro 28, 2017) - Fights Nova Inglaterra (NEF) retorna a Lewiston no sábado, Fevereiro 3, 2018 com o próximo evento misto de artes marciais da promoção luta, “NEF 32: Super sábado.” Hoje cedo, NEF anunciou a adição de uma luta pelo campeonato profissional ao card. CJ Ewer (3-0) se reunirá Kemran Lachinov (5-2) para o título vago NEF MMA Professional Welterweight.

 

 

A luta colocará Ewer em uma posição única – para manter títulos simultaneamente em duas divisões de peso. É um feito que já foi tentado, mas nunca realizado no NEF. Ewer é o principal detentor do título profissional de peso médio da organização. Ele conquistou o título com uma vitória sobre Mike Hansen (5-8) último verão em “NEF 30” em Bangor, Maine. Ewer levou menos de dois minutos para finalizar Hansen com um estrangulamento em triângulo de braço. A vitória não só rendeu a Ewer o título dos médios, mas também uma indicação para “2017 Apresentação do ano.” Se Ewer sair vitorioso sobre Lachinov em fevereiro 3, ele ficará no topo das categorias de meio-médio e médio. HAMPTON, N.H. Valenzuela spent most of the time on the ropes, while Rivera teed-off on him, until a beautiful placed left hook by Rivera decked Valenzuela, who failed to get up until after referee Mike Ryan completed the 10-count.

The 32-year-old Kimber, who was the crowd favorite having lived several years in New Hampshire, overcame the determined Schulte for a hard-fought victory by way of a four-round majority decision.
“I was a little nervous with this being my first time in a pro ring,” Kimber admitted after his fight. “I hadn’t been in a ring for 1 ½ years and there was some ring rust. Agora, I know what I need to good, and I’ll be a lot better next fight. This was my first camp and I’ve learned a lot. I’d like to stay busy, come back in late January, early February.”
Undefeated Whitman, MA junior welterweight prospect Microfone “Homem mal” Ohan, Jr.charged across the ring, unloading a powerful right that immediately sent Bardraiel Smith to the canvas. Smith somehow got to his feet but Ohan quickly ended Smith’s night, only 30-second into round one, as referee Ryan waved off the action.
New England cruiserweight champion and the show’s co-promoter, Iraq War veteran Chris Traietti (25-5, 19 KOs) ultrapassado Fabian Valdez en route to a win by second-round knockout in a stay-busy fight to close out 2017. In a non-title fight contested at a 185-pounds catchweight, the Quincy, MA-based Traietti floored his game Mexican opponent with a straight right midway through the opening round, closing the show in the second round with a series of unanswered punches.
The only New Hampshire native on the card, Claremont junior middleweight Ricky Ford(1-1-1) won his first pro fight, taking a lop-sided, four-round unanimous decision over pro MMA fighter Andy Aiello, who made his pro boxing debut.

Granite Chin invades Granite State with “Rumble at The Rim”

HAMPTON, NH (Novembro 13, 2017) – Granite Chin Promotions invades the Granite State on Sábado, Dezembro 9, showcasing some of New England’s top professional boxers on the “Rumble at The Rim” cartão, at The Rim in Hampton, New Hampshire.

Vernon St.) as the Cadets of the United States Military Academy at West Point are matched against a New England all-star caliber team comprised of boxers from the Coast Guard Academy (New London, CT), University of Massachusetts, University of Connecticut, Trinity College and Harvard University.
West Point requires all its Cadets, male and female, to take 19 lessons of boxing and that, combined with the program’s tremendous success in competition over the years, results in its relatively high number of boxers (40) on a college boxing team. West Point voluntary head boxing coach Ray Barone is a military retiree who taught at West Point.
“Luca and Jack work hard in the gym and are leaders amongst their peers,” Coach Barone said. “They are top-of-the-line guys and we’re fortunate to have both on our team. West Point is a high-end academic school, like an Ivy League school, and we aren’t allowed to recruit boxers.
“We have another great group of boxers this year. It’s always, ‘Yes, senhor; não, senhor’ and they’re all very articulate. Luca and Jack, like other boxers on our team, are very respectful. Luca is a very good boxer who could very well be in the Fight of the Night. Jack came here as a football player and he’ll be in his first boxing match on November 11th.”
LoConte Botis and Ward, who has close to a 4.0 GPA, are sophomores who aspire to be Infantry officers upon graduation from West Point.
Luca attended West Point Prep School for one year before entering West Point Military Academy. A 2015 graduate of Winchester High School, he started boxing at a young age, capturing top honors in the New England Junior Olympics, and he developed his skills at Peter Welch’s Gym in South Boston, as well as with the Rivera brothers at the Somerville Boxing Club.
Because he always intended to box at West Point, Luca contacted boxing officials there when he was still in high school, and he knew the coaches and boxers before he officially got there. Com 18 (11-7) amateur matches under his belt, Luca has invaluable experience in a sport he passionately views as a lifestyle, much more than a sport
“I am from Winchester and look at this show as a homecoming,” Luca remarked. “I fought there once as a freshman and now I want to show everybody at home that I’ve grown. I’m no longer a boy, I’m growing into a man, and boxing has a lot to do with that. Styles make fights and I know who I’m fighting. I plan to relax in the ring and give everybody a real show. I’m going to have a lot of fun, muito, and leave with a smile on my face.
“I become a better version of myself, Todos os dias, by getting in the ring. Boxing takes its toll on the body and mind but, if I have a tough day academically or during military training, I get that anger out in the gym. Boxing is a release for me. It reminds me why I’m here. What I overcome in the ring, I can do in any other way. I plan to compete in the Golden Gloves this year and as an officer, I will lead men and women soldiers.”
Ward grew-up in Hampton, NH, but he has roots in Winchester, which he considers his second home. Jack attended Salisbury School, em Connecticut, and he was recruited as a football player. He decided not to play football at West Point and, despite having no prior experience as a boxer, he joined the West Point Boxing Team after meeting Coach Barone and some members of the squad.
“I love competing, discipline and conditioning and I’ve never been in as good shape as I am now as a boxer,” Jack explained. “Boxing adds to my overall development, mentalmente e fisicamente, and the it will help me become a more effective leader: Calm under pressure, dentro e para fora do anel de.

QUINCY, Massa. (Agosto 6, 2017) – Former New England welterweight champion Derek “O cirurgião” Silveira defeated former world title challenger Michael “Sangue frio” Clark noite passada (Sat., Agosto. 5) no “Fight Night at the Bay” evento principal, apresentado pelo Promoções Granite Chin, at Marina Bay Sportplex in Quincy, Massachusetts.

New N. E. Cruiserweight champion Chris Traietti
Iraq War veteran and Quincy’s favorite son, Chris Traietti (24-4, 19 KOs), who is also co-promoter of “Fight Night at the Bay”, pounded Nick Lavin (5-6, 4 KOs) from the opening bell to capture the vacant New England Cruiserweight Championship by way of a decisive eight-round unanimous decision. Traietti teed-off on the over-matched Lavin for most of the fight, but his tough Connecticut opponent lasted to the very end.
