Abdulaev vs. Kunchenko title clash & Divnich vs. Turnquest fight added to M-1 Challenge 65 card April 8 nan St. Petersburg, Larisi
ST. PETERSBURG, Larisi (Mas 16, 2016) – M-1 Challenge welterweight champion Murad “Hunter” Abdulaev will make his first title defense, Avril 8 nan M-1 defi 65,against undefeated challenger Alexey Kunchenko at Ice Palace Sports Center in St. Petersburg, Larisi.
Abdulaev vs. Kunchenko replaces the rescheduled M-1 Challenge lightweight championship bout between defending champion Mansour “Tarzan” Barnaoui ak pwovokatè Artem Damkovsky due to injuries suffered by both fighters during training camp.

Ramadan Emeev (13-3-0, M-1: 7-1-0), reigning M-1 Challenge middleweight champion, takes on Brazilian challenger Maiquel “Big Rig” Falcao (35-8-0, M-1: 0-0-0) in the M-1 Challenge 65 evènman prensipal. Emeev vs. Falcao is an M-1 Grand Prix middleweight semifinals match with the winner advancing to the final later this year against the other M-1 Grand Prix middleweight semifinals winner, former three-time Bellator champion Alexander “Tanpèt” Shlemenko (52-9-0, M-1: 3-0-0).
Abdulaev (13-1-0, M-1: 4-1-0) captured the vacant M-1 Challenge lightweight title last June at M-1 defi 58, taking a five-round decision from Marcelo Brito. A powerful striker always with knockout intentions, Abdulaev (shown above in action) has been out of action since then due to a variety of reasons.

MOSCOW (Fevriye 20, 2016) – Veteran Russian fighters Alexander Shlemenkloak Alexander Volkov were the big winners in M-1 defi 64 action last night at Olympic Stadium in Moscow.
Shlemenko (52-9-0), a three-time Bellator champion, returned to M-1 Global in grand style, winning a close but unanimous decision over former 2-division M-1 Challenge division Vyacheslav Vasilevsky (28-3-0), nan Larisi, in their M-1 Global Grand Prix Middleweight Tournament match. Shlemenko advances to the championship final later this year to face the winner of the other semifinals fight (Avril 8) nan M-1 defi 65between reigning M-1 Challenge middleweight champion Ramadan Emeev (13-3-0) and Brazilian Maiquel “Big Rig” Falcao (35-8-0). Emeev was the 2015 M-1 Global Fighter of the Year.
M-1 Global’s newly signed Alexander “Drago” Volkov (25-6-0), nan Larisi, captured the vacant M-1 Challenge heavyweight championship, defeating Estonian strongmanDenis Smoldarev (11-2-0) by way of a third-round submission via a triangle choke.
In the M-1 Challenge Bantamweight Semifinals Eliminator matches, Pavel Vitruk (13-2-0) yo ak Ikrenyen Vitaly Branchuk (21-5-0) both won unanimous decisions to advance to the championship final to determine the new M-1 Challenge bantamweight champion. Vitruk got past his previously undefeated Kazakh opponent Sergey Morozov (6-1-1), while Branchuk got the better of Antun “Asasen” Racic (18-7-0), a Kwoasi.

ST. PETERSBURG, Larisi (Fevriye 15, 2016) – M-1 Global has announced that M-1 defi 65 has been rescheduled from March 4 ak avril 8 at Ice Palace Sports Center in St. Petersburg, Larisi.
The Ice Hockey World Championships will be held this May in St. Petersburg and Moscow. Many sports venues in St. Petersburg are closed in March due to renovations, resulting in the switched date for M-1 defi 65.

M-1 Global extends contracts with Ivan Buchinger, Stephan PUETZ & Lee Morrison
ST. PETERSBURG, Larisi (Janvye 27, 2016) – M-1 Global prezidan Vadim Finklechtein has announced contract extensions for M-1 featherweight championJan “Sa a se nan” Buchinger, former M-1 Challenge light heavyweight titlist Stephan “T-800” PUETZ and top American featherweight contender Lee “Ameriken Bulldog” Morrison.
“We’ve prolonged the contract with M-1 Global veteran fighters Buchinger, Puetz and Morrison,” Finkelchtein said. “We constantly work on our roster to have the best possible fighters.”
Buchinger (30-4-0, M-1: 5-0-0), the 29-year-old from Slovakia, captured the vacant M-1 Challenge featherweight title in 2014, via a fourth-round knockout of Tural Raginov nan M-1 defi 52. In his last fight this past October, Buchinger successfully defended his title with a unanimous decision over current M-1 Challenge lightweight champion Mansour “Tarzan” Barnaoui nan M-1 defi 62.
PUETZ (13-2-0, M-1: 4-1-0), fighting out of Germany, is an electrifying fighter who won the M-1 Challenge light heavyweight champion in 2014, pran yon desizyon soti nanViktor Nemkov nan M-1 defi 46. Puetz successfully defended his title twice in 2014 kont Luis Fernando Miranda (SUB2 – toufe) ak Valery Mykasnikov(KO/TKO2 – pwenson).
