Due to a series of injuries, Sulktanakhmedov (18-5-0, M, I: 10-1-0) has been inactive for the past five years, since he knocked out Tyson Jeffries in the second round of their 2011 M, I ad pugnam provocare, 24.
A former M-1 Selection champion, Sultanakhmedov is dropping down one weight class from middleweight to fight Romanov. During his MMA career, feared striker Sultanakhmedov has knocked out the likes of Dmitri Samoilov, Victor Nemkov, Pavel Kusch atque Pliinio Cruz, Inter notables.
His tremendous flair and style makes him a fan favorite, especially his “one-shoot, one-kill” attack. The 32-year-old has fought outside of his native Russia, in the United States and Japan, and during his fighting hiatus he served as referee.
Although he isn’t looking past Sultanakhmedov, fellow Russian fighter Romanov hopes that an impressive victory over Sultankhmedov will position him for his first M-1 Challenge title shot against the Kunchenkp-Rakhmonov winner.
Romanov has had impressive victories in M-1 Challenge competition, including a decision over against Brazilian foe Carlos Pereira last October at M-I provocare 71, as well as a first-round stoppage via punches of Andreas Birgels this past June at M-I provocare 68.
“I’ve been working on my strength,” Romanov said from his training camp, “because the champion in my weight class, Alexey Kunchenko, is physically strong. I need to catch up. Not that I’m looking forward to a title fight, but I always have grandiose plans, ita, we’ll see how that goes. Nunc, I’m focused on Sultanakhmedov, and I think my fight with him would be no harder than a possible fight with Kunchenko.
“I started training camp with two workouts a day, but I felt sick and decided to cutback to only one workout a day until I soon return to full mode. I’ve been training at home (S.. Petersburg) but will soon go to Ryazan to wrestling training camp. Ergo, I will go back to St. Petersburg to prepare at camp, and go to Borovaya for boxing. My opponent is left-handed, so I need appropriate sparring partners, but the guys in my camp are a great help.
“I know my opponent well having watched his fights as a youngster when he was champion. Autem, we need to reevaluate him. He was a good fighter who trains at ‘Gorets’ where there is, in principle, guys there who are top level. It’s difficult to say what form he has now because he hasn’t fought in so long. Autem, he is at the peak age for a fighter, 32, so we’ll see. I don’t think I’ll be favored in this fight, but I will go forward despite being the underdog.”

 The 24-year-old Yusupov (6-0-0, M, I: 4-0-0), fighting out of Dagestan, Russia, will be making his first title defense having captured his coveted belt this past May at M-I provocare 66, by way of a 5-round unanimous decision over defending champion Nemkov Viktor.Yusupov (2 KO / TKO, 1 SUB), representing Gorets fight club (Highlander), has three other victories in M-1 Challenge competition over Martin Zawada (DEC3), Mitry Madvedev (KO / TKO1 – Punch) atque Charles Seoane (DEC3).
 Puetz, 29, has won six of seven M-1 Challenge fights going into fifth title fight. The talented German (5 KO / TKO, 5 SUB) from Team Spirit burst upon the M-1 Global scene 2 ½ years ago, at M-I provocare 46, when he challenged M-1 Challenge light heavyweight champion Nemkov that ended in a 5-round split decision in favor of the new champion, Puetz.Puetz successfully defended his title, in order, adversum Luis Fernando(Sub2 – Choke) atque Valery Myasnikov (KO2 – Vapulet), followed with a Super Fight knockout (nose injury) of M-1 Challenge heavyweight champion Marcin Tybura in the third round of their May 2, 2015 non-title fight at M-I provocare 72. To get back into title contention, Puetz won his last two fights against Andrey Seledtsov (DEC3) atque Marcus Vinicius (SUB3 – Choke) this past October at M-I provocare 71.

ST. PETERSBURG, Russia (October 19, 2016) – M-1 Global has announced a rematch between M-1 Challenge welterweight champion Alexey Kunchenko et priore titlist Murad “Venator” Abduleav will headline the November 18th M-I provocare 72 in Moscoviae, Russia.

Kunchenko (14-0-0, M, I: 6-0-0), fighting out of Tyumen, Russia, will be making his first title defense. He defeated defending champion Abdulaev, who was unable to continue in round four of their fight this past April at M-I provocare 65.
Abdulaev (15-4-0, M, I: 3-2-0), fighting out of Anapa, Russia, originally captured the M-1 Challenge welterweight title at M-I provocare 58, accipiens decisionem Marcello Britoon June 6, 2015 for the vacant title.

Damkovsky (21-10-0, M, I: 11-7-0), fighting out of Minsk, Belarus, has a crowd pleasing style. His last fight resulted in a kick-knockout victory (see picture below) autem Maxim Divnich this past September at M-I provocare 70.
 A native of Moscow, 26-year-old Makhno (13-4-0, M, I: 3-1-0) is a superior kicker and strong striker. In ultimo proelio, this past June at M-I provocare 68, Makhno won a decision over Felipo Rego (see picture below).

“The fight between Ramazan Emeev and Anatoly Tokov is the most anticipated fight in Russian MMA, “I M-Global praeses Vadim Finkelchtein dixit. “Both Tokov and Emeev are fighters of the elite level, not only in Russia, but in the world. Emeev (14-3-0, M, I: 8-1-0), who was the M-1 Global 2015 Pugnatore Anni, returns to action after suffering a torn ligament in his elbow, which forced the Azerbaijan native to withdraw from his scheduled M-1 Grand Prix Middleweight Championship fight withAlexander Shlemenko.
The 29-year-old Emeev, fighting out of Makhachkala, Russia, first captured the vacant M-1 Challenge middleweight title in 2012, taking a 5-round unanimous decision from Miranda Mario at M-I provocare 35, and he successfully won the rematch five months later atM-I provocare 38, stopping Miranda via strikes in the third round.
 In 2014, Emeev lost his title belt to Vyacheslav Vasilevsky by way of a fourth-round knockout (pugnis) at M-I provocare 51 in 2014. The resilient Emeev, tamen, bounced back to regain his throne as M-1 Challenge middleweight champion, using a choke hold to submit Vasilevsky in the opening round at
M-I provocare 56.
Emeev has successfully defended his title against Luigi Fioravanti, who was unable to continue after four rounds at M-I provocare 63, and this past April Emeev defeated Brazilian Maiquel Falcao (see picture above) at M-I provocare 65 in the first round by submission (suffocat).
Tokov (24-2-0, M, I: 9-1-0), 26, is a former ABC champion who fights out of Stary Oskol, Russia. He is riding a 17-fight win streak, including knockouts of Torres Enoc Solves atM-I provocare 54 atque Albert Duraev at M-I provocare 46.
A feared striker with tremendous power, Tokov has stopped 14 eius 24 victims to date, resulting in him developing into one of MMA’s most spectacular fighters and a true rising MMA star throughout Russia and Europe.
