ST. PETERSBURG, Ռուսաստան (Օգոստոս 22, 2017) – M-1 Global will promote the first international mixed-martial-arts event in Republic of Tatarstan history, Սեպտեմբեր 23, as Kazan, Russia hosts M-1 Challenge 83: Tatfight 5.

The main event of the evening will be a light heavyweight bout between American invader Brandon “Ցուլ” Halsey (9-3-0, M-1: 0-1-0), the two-time Bellator champion, իսկ Միխայիլ Ragozin (8-2-0, M-1: 3-0-0), a National Pankration champion of Russia who is also a pupil of legendary Russian MMA fighter Ալեքսանդր Shlemenko.

Also scheduled to fight on the growing M-1 Challenge 83 card is Georgian champion Raul tutarauli (17-3-0, M-1: 5-1-0) against multiple Russian Army hand-to-hand combat champion vladimir Kanunnikov (8-0-0, M-1: 0-0-0) in an M-1 Challenge lightweight eliminator to determine the No. 1 թեկնածու.

The M-1 Challenge bantamweight championship fight between defending champion Պավել Vitruk (14-2-0), and interim titlist movsar Evloev (7-0, M-1: 7-0) had been previously announced for M-1 Challenge 81.

The two giant heavyweights fighting on the card are each world ranked by Fightmatrix, both preferring early endings as they have 40 combined knockouts. This exciting duel is a fitting addition for such a grand tournament like M-1 Challenge 81: The Battle of the Mountains 6.

Russian strongman Kharitonov (24-6-0, M-1: 4-0-0) is coming off a devastating, one-punch knockout of American Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou in the opening round of their main event fight, Հունիս 15 է Չինաստանում, ի M-1 Challenge 80. Below is a Q & A with the veteran MMA promoter:

Can you tell us about plans for upcoming M-1 Global events?

VF: “In the next 2-3 months we will promote an extremely full schedule of events. Through the middle of June, we will promote five – I’m not afraid to use these words – grandiose tournaments. April 22nd there’s an event being held in Nazran, which was arranged with the support of the local government, and dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Ingushetia. On Մայիս 19րդ, in collaboration with Rostec and Rosoboronexport corporations, we will hold a truly spectacular event in Sochi. Our traditional tournament in Orenburg is set for May 26th, which regularly takes place at the highest level with a crowded venue. On June 1st, we will hold another event in St. Petersburg as part of the International Իսկconomic Forum program. And already on June 15 – A major tournament will be held June 15^րդ in Harbin, Ճենապակի, during the program of the Russian-Chinese Իսկxpo. Both in St. Petersburg and China, we are included in the official program, so we will be participating in truly large-scale events.”

Fans are interested in fighters whose performances will decorate these tournaments. Can you reveal some of the competing fighters?

VF: “We will really surprise the audience at these events. A lot of negotiations are ongoing, including those with fighters who are the TopP-20 ranked fighters in the world. There will also be fights involving new fighters. Իհարկե, we intend to make fights that fans have been waiting for a long time. This fight is interesting for fans and we will try to make it happen. People are starting to understand more and more about MMA and we are making fights that our fans want to happen.
