PETERSBURG, Rusland (November 9, 2016) – The already loaded M-1 Challenge 73: Slag van Narts card has been bolstered by the M-1 Global announcement that two American fighters, Lee “Amerikaanse Bulldog” Morrison en “The Finisher” Josh Regstelling House, have been added to the 2016 season-ending event December 9th in Ingoesetië, Rusland.
A super showdown between M-1 Challenge middleweight champion Ramadan Emeev(14-3-0, M-1: 8-1-0) and KO artist specialist Anatoly Tokov (24-2-0, M-1: 9-1-0) wil kop M-1 Challenge 73: Slag van Narts in a battle of elite Russian fighters.

Morrison (15-7-0, M-1: 2-4-0) and Rettinghouse (13-4-0, M-1: 1-0-0) are both fighting out of the state of Washington.
Morrison faces undefeated Russian prospect Moysar Evoloev (5-0-0, M-1: 5-0-0) in a fight contested at a 140-pounds (63.5 kilogram) vanggewig. Morrison is a grappler (see photo below with him in top position) who defeated current M-1 Challenge bantamweight title-holder Pavel Vitruk by decision at M-1 Challenge 58.

In addition to the rematch between Kunchenko (14-0-0, M-1: 6-0-0) and Abdulaev (15-4-0, M-1: 3-1-0), the lightweight fight between former champion Artiom Damkovsky en Alexey “Opdrag” Makhno had already been announced by M-1 Global.
Undefeated Russian middleweight Artem Frolov (7-0-0, M-1: 4-0-0), a strong striker and Combat Sambo master, faces American opponent Luigi “Die Italiaanse Tank” Fiorvanti (26-14-0, M-1: 4-3-0) battle with future title fight implications on the line for the winner.
Frolov is coming off a three-round unanimous decision over Rafael Xavier by M-1 Challenge 70, while Fiorvanti is considered a good all-around fighter who is a former M-1 Challenge middleweight title challenger.
In a featherweight bout, fully recovered Kurbaneli Abdusalamor (6-2-0, M-1: 4-0-0) faces fellow Russian Oos Nagibin (7-2-0, M-1: 3-1-0). Abdusalamov has won four fights in a row, including his last 13 months ago against American Lee Morrison, which ended in a 3-round majority decision for the Russian fighter before he was sidelined with injuries.
Liggewig Damir Ismagulov (8-2-0, M-1: 4-1-0), a native of Kazakhstan fighting out of Russia, meets Brazilian Rubenilton “Rubinho” Pear (16-3-0, M-1: 0-1-0). Ismagulov has won his last three fights, insluitend 'n 3rd-ronde knockout van Raul Tutarauli in die M-1 Challenge 66 Stryd van die nag. Buchinger (31-4-0, M-1: 6-0-0), veg uit Slowakye, is riding a 10-fight win streak into M-1 Challenge 73 since he lost to Conor McGregor in 2012. He captured the vacant M-1 Challenge title October 17, 2014 by M-1 Challenge 52, stop Tural Nizami (see picture below) in the fourth round on punches in their Fight of the Night. Buchinger made a successful title defense 13 months ago at M-1 Challenge 62, taking a 5-round unanimous decision over Mansour Korobkov. In sy laaste stryd, this past June against Mikhail Korobkov by M-1 Challenge 67, Buchinger needed only 4:41 of the opening round to choke his opponent into a submission in their non-title fight.

Kunchenko (14-0-0, M-1: 6-0-0), uit Tyumen geveg, Rusland, will be making his first title defense. He defeated defending champion Abdulaev, who was unable to continue in round four of their fight this past April at M-1 Challenge 65.

The 29-year-old Emeev, fighting out of Makhachkala, Rusland, first captured the vacant M-1 Challenge middleweight title in 2012, taking a 5-round unanimous decision from Mario Miranda by M-1 Challenge 35, and he successfully won the rematch five months later byM-1 Challenge 38, stopping Miranda via strikes in the third round.

The resilient Emeev, egter, bounced back to regain his throne as M-1 Challenge middleweight champion, using a choke hold to submit Vasilevsky in the opening round at
M-1 Challenge 56.
Emeev has successfully defended his title against Luigi Fioravanti, who was unable to continue after four rounds at M-1 Challenge 63, and this past April Emeev defeated Brazilian Maiquel Falcao (see picture above) by M-1 Challenge 65 in the first round by submission (verstik).
Tokov (24-2-0, M-1: 9-1-0), 26, is a former ABC champion who fights out of Stary Oskol, Rusland. He is riding a 17-fight win streak, including knockouts of ENOC Los Torres byM-1 Challenge 54 en Albert Duraev by M-1 Challenge 46.

The judges were very busy as five of six main event fights went the full distance, headlined by Smoldarev, representing Estonia, defeated American veteran Garner by way of a unanimous three-round decision.
