2017 M-1 Global Prospect of the Year Rising flyweight star Arman Ashimov

S. PETERSBURG, Russia (January 18, 2018) – Rising flyweight Arman Ashimov has been named the 2017 M-1 Global Prospect of the Year.
Ashimov (7-2-1, M, I: 2-0-0), 26, made his M-1 Global debut last July in M-I provocare 81, in which he stopped previously undefeated Gadzhimurad Aliev (6-0-0), of Russia, with one punch in round two.
Last November, Ashimov positioned himself for a title shot with an impressive opening-round knockout via punches of Brazilian veteran Rodrigo Melonio (16-3-0) at M-I provocare 85.
Five of Ashimov’s seven victories to date have ended by knockout, the other two by decision.
The gifted Kazakh fighter headlines his first M-1 Global event on February 9 against Finnish invader MikaelHulkSilander (17-5-0, M, I: 1-0-0) for the Interim M-1 Global flyweight title, celebrating the opening of the beautiful, state-of-the-art M-1 Arena in Saint Petersburg, Russia.

ST. PETERSBURG, Russia (August 22, 2017) – M-1 Global will promote the first international mixed-martial-arts event in Republic of Tatarstan history, September 23, as Kazan, Russia hosts M-I provocare 83: Tatfight 5.

The main event of the evening will be a light heavyweight bout between American invader Brandon “Bull” Halsey (9-3-0, M, I: 0-1-0), the two-time Bellator champion, atque Mikhail Ragozin (8-2-0, M, I: 3-0-0), a National Pankration champion of Russia who is also a pupil of legendary Russian MMA fighter Alexander Shlemenko.

The inaugural M-1 Challenge Flyweight Championship will be contested as the two Grand Prix finalists, Ukrainian MMA National Champion Alexander Doskalchuk (7-1-0, M, I: 1-0-0) takes on Russian VadimBad SantaMalygin (11-2-1, M, I: 2-1-1), who is a multiple regional champion in hand-to-hand combat and kickboxing.

Also scheduled to fight on the growing M-I provocare 83 card is Georgian champion Raul Tutarauli (17-3-0, M, I: 5-1-0) against multiple Russian Army hand-to-hand combat champion Vladimir Kanunnikov (8-0-0, M, I: 0-0-0) in an M-1 Challenge lightweight eliminator to determine the No. 1 CONCERTATOR.

The Republic of Tatarstan will be represented at this event by the best fighters from Kazan City, including 2015 & 2016 Republic of Tatarstan MMA champion Ruslan Khisamutdinov, representing theDivizionFight Club, two-time Republic of Tatarstan and Volga Federal District MMA champion Kirill Kuzmin, representing theBars ProfiFight Club, Kyokushin Karate prize-winning Russian champion and winner of the TATFIGHT tournament in Kyokushin Karate, Lenar Suleymanov.

INGUSHETIA, Russia (July 23, 2017 – Hinc invictus Movsar Evloev is the new M-1 Challenge bantamweight champion after he defeated defending champion Pavel Vitrukin M-I provocare 81: Proelio in Montes 6 principale eventus, last night in the Republic of Ingushetia.

The international MMA eventfighters represented 11 different countriescoincided with the 25th anniversary celebration of the Republic of Ingushetia.

Evloev (8-0-0, M, I: 8-0-0), who was the interim M-1 Challenge bantamweight champion, is a Russian fighter whose entire pro career has been in M-1 Global competition. Last night, he won a five-round decision over defending M-1 Challenge bantamweight titlist Vitruk (14-3-0, M, I: 8-3-0), the Ukrainian-born fighter who fights out of Russia.

In co-featured event, Russian heavyweight star Sergei “The Paratrooper” Kharitonov (26-6-0, M, I: 5-0-0) continued his M-1 dominance, using an ankle lock to force Brazilian veteran GeronimoMondragonDos Santos (39-19-0, M, I: 0-1-0) in submissionis.

American middleweight Joe “DieselRiggs (44-17-0, M, I: 1-0-0), fighting out of Phoenix (THE), won his M-1 debut in impressive fashion, using his ground-and-pound attack for powerful third-round knockout of Russian Samoilov (19-11-1, M, I: 10-6-0).

The M-1 debut of Canadian welterweight SpencerJudgeJebb (12-6-0, M, I: 0-1-0) wasn’t successful as Russian Ingishhan Ozdoev (5-3-0, M, I: 4-3-0) used a spinning wheel kick to KO Jebb midway through the opening round.

S. PETERSBURG, Russia (June 16, 2017 – M-1 Global has announced that M-1 Challenge bantamweight champion Pavel Vitruk will defend his title against interim titlist Movsar Evloev, July 22 in the M-1 Challenge 81: Proelio in Montes 6 principale eventus, in the Republic of Ingushetia.
The international MMA event will coincide with the 25th anniversary celebration of the Republic of Ingushetia.
Vitruk (14-2-0), pugnae de deque Moscua, bounced back strong from a sub-par 2016 with impressive victories over Sergei Morozov et tunc Vitaly Branchukom to become the first M-1 Challenge bantamweight champion.

HARBIN, Sinis (June 16, 2017) – MMA heavyweight star Sergius Kharitonov continued his dominance in M-1 Global competition, excutere Rameau Theodoricum Sokoudjou midway through the opening round of last night’s M-I provocare 80 principale eventus, held in Harbin, Sinis.
Cameroon-native Sokoudjou (18-8-0, M, I: 0-1-0), fighting out of the United States, was nailed on the chin by a straight right thrown by Kharitonov (25-6-0, M, I: 4-0-0), who immediately jumped on top of his fallen foe, firing two more powerful hammer-punches to the head, until the referee halted the action.
But it really was a classic one-punch KO by Kharitonov, who remains undefeated in M-1 Global competition at 4-0-0.

Maksim Grabovich new opponent for M-1 Challenge welterweight champion Alexey Kunchenko

ST. PETERSBURG, Russia (January 23, 2017) – Undefeated M-1 Challenge welterweight champion Alexey Kunchenko will now be challenged by fellow Russian Maksim Grabovich, who has replaced injured Shavkat Rakhmonov, March 3, at M-I provocare 75 in Moscoviae.
M-1 Grand Prix middleweight champion Alexander “Tempestatem” Shlemenko (54-9-0. 1 NC, M, I: 4-0-0),the three-time Bellator champion, Vivamus scelerisque voluntatem M-I provocare 75 against an opponent to soon be announced.
Kunchenko (15-0-0, M, I: 7-0), fighting out of Tyumen, Russia, is a Muay Thai specialist who captured his M-1 Challenge welterweight title belt last April at M-I provocare 65, when defending titlist Murad Abdulaev retired during the fourth round.
In a non-title fight, Kunchenko won a three-round unanimous decision over Eduardo Ramon at M-1 Challenge at M-I provocare 70 last September. His first title defense was December 5 at M-I provocare 72, in which Kunchenko won a 5-round unanimous decision over Abdulaev in a rematch.
Grabovich (5-2-0, M, I: 4-0-0), fighting out of famed Stary Oskol in Russia, has won his last three fights in addition to being undefeated in four M-1 Global matches. His signature victory to date was last June at M-I provocare 68, in which Grabovich won a three-round unanimous decision in the Fight of the Night.

PETERSBURG, Russia (January 9, 2017) – A serious knee injury requiring surgery has forced undefeated Kazakhstan challenger Shaukat Rakhmonov (7-0-0, M, I: 4-0-0) to withdraw from his first title fight, March 3 against unbeaten M-1 Challenge welterweight champion Alexey Kunchenko (15-0-0, M, I: 7-0-0), of Russia, at M-I provocare 75 in Moscoviae.
