Rhode Island’s Native Warrior, Kali Reis, is no stranger to bright lights and pressure. Coming off an impressive performance on HBO against undisputed champion and #1 pound-for-pound female fighter in the world, Сесилия Braekhus, Reis looks to return home, back to New England and put her full warrior spirit out on display at the Mohegan Sun.

The last time Reis fought at Mohegan Sun was in November of last year. She is thrilled to be making this homecoming.

My fans love coming to Mohegan Sun. There isn’t a bad seat in the house and their hospitality is fantastic. Joe DeGuardia is keeping me very productive since we signed with him back in November. I am so pleased with the decision myself and manager Brian made to sign with them.”

 

 

 

Another local warrior on the card to watch is Anthony Laureano. Laureano earned the nickname “Действие” for his relentless, coming-forward fight style. If the East Hartford native is in the ring, fans can always expect an exciting show from start to finish. This bout against Rodriguez will mark the third time in his career that Laureano is fighting at Mohegan Sun.

Two-division world champion Beibut Shumenov comeback fight for Vacant WBA Cruiserweight World title

Lenin Castillo grabs WBO Gold in Ponce, Puerto Rico

Ponce, Puerto Rico – Former Dominican Olympian Lenin Castillo (18-1-1, 13 Нокаута) won the WBO/NABO vacant light heavyweight title in impressive fashion. Castillo defeated Aaron “Homicide” Мичъл (27-3-1, 21 Нокаута) of Florida by way of technical knockout in the 10th and final round.

 

 

 

 

As a result of the victory, Castillo will now be ranked among the best 175 pound fighters in the WBO.

 

 

 

 

The fight was televised by DIRECTV PR as part of a card promoted by Miguel Cotto Promotions at the Complejo Ferial, Ponce, PR.

Salita Signs Top Light Heavyweight Umar Salamov to Co-Promotional Contract

HUMBERTO “TITO” VELAZCO SCORES SENSATIONAL KNOCKOUT IN EL PASO, TX

Williams survived the round but was walking on wobbly legs. Now in a rhythm, Velazco’s timing was on point as he sent Williams to the deck for the second time in round three, this time hurting him badly with combination of punches. Williams survived once again only to be stopped in round four when Velazco, a heavy-handed southpaw, blasted him with a straight left, forcing the referee to stop the bout at the 1:37 марка.
