QUÉBEC (Juillet 30, 2016) – Champion des lourds légers du monde Adonis “Superman” Stevenson (28-1, 23 KOs) livré une victoire bobine point fort de knock-out sur Thomas “Top Dogg” Williams Jr. (20-2, 14 KOs) dans le quatrième tour d'une épreuve de force événement passionnant sur Premier Champions de boxe sur Épi Vendredi nuit du centre Vidéotron à Québec, Canada.
“Ce fut un échange de tirs,” Ledit Stevenson. “Il m'a mis la pression alors j'ai décidé de faire pression sur lui aussi. Ce fut un combat avec deux gars qui pourrait frapper et il a été spectaculaire. Il était l'anniversaire de ma fille et je lui ai donné un grand cadeau.”
Le champion en titre Stevenson, combats dans sa ville d'adoption, Williams mis dans un tour avec une main droite à gauche. Williams a pu récupérer et se mit à dos de feu au deuxième tour. Cependant, Jab Stevenson a envoyé régulièrement Williams retours en arrière, tandis que Williams a abandonné la Commission paritaire de recours et a tenté de réduire la distance avec coups de poing de puissance des angles difficiles. Williams titubant le champion du monde à plusieurs reprises, au moyen d'un rempart efficace contre la main droite tout en obtenant le meilleur de nombreux échanges.

Ni chasseur a pu contrôler de la lutte avec Nicholson essayant d'utiliser sa longueur et jab tout Aleem a essayé de couper la distance et l'attaque à coups de poings courts. Nicholson semblait avoir l'attaque plus efficace dans les premiers tours, tandis que Aleem a commencé à avoir plus de succès que la lutte déplacé à l'action des orteils aux pieds dans la seconde moitié de la lutte.

“Je suis content de la victoire, mais j'aurais aimé un knock-out! Il était difficile, mais il ne m'a pas fait mal du tout et je pensais que je l'ai blessé. Je suis prêt pour mon prochain défi, qui nous l'espérons, un combat pour le titre mondial.”
Le prétendant au top-rated pour le titre de Stevenson, Alvarez a établi son jab tôt tout en attaquant le corps de Berridge avec des crochets à droite. Alvarez a continué à contrôler le combat à distance que Berridge a été lent à commencer à augmenter sa production avant qu'il a commencé à mettre la pression dans cinq rondes.
Le gaucher Berridge a pu atterrir à l'occasion sur Alvarez avec une main gauche en boucle, mais jamais mettre le combattant invaincu en danger. Alvarez a commencé à avoir plus ou moins de succès avec son attaque droite uppercuts et crochets qui a finalement quitté l'œil droit Berridge gonflé et meurtri.
Alvarez a remporté la décision par des dizaines de 99-90 et 98-92 deux fois.

Maurice “Mighty Mo” Hooker (20-0-2, 15 KOs) was born and raised in Oak Cliff, Texas, a suburb of Dallas, where he found a boxing home at Maple Avenue Boxing Gym by way of an outreach program for at-risk youths. His natural talent was soon noticed resulting in him competing as an amateur, during which time he participated in over 100 combats, compilant un dossier de 97 victoires et seulement 7 pertes, avec 67 victories coming by way of knockout. Hooker turned professional on April 29, 2011, taking on the vastly more experienced Tyrone Chatman at the Orpheum Theater in St. Louis. Sur Octobre 17, 2015, Hooker successfully defended his title at Madison Square Garden in New York City against his toughest opponent to date in Ghislain Maduma. The 10-round decision win came on the undercard of Gennady Golovkin vs. David Lemieux and was featured on the event’s “freeview” as well as streamed online around the world. “Mighty Mo” made his debut under the Roc Nation Sports banner on the undercard of Andre Ward vs. Sullivan Barrera, this past March at Oracle Arena in Oakland, COMME, where he annihilated opponent Wilfrido “La Roca” Buelvas of Columbia in the first round of a 10-round junior welterweight bout by way of technical knockout. Hooker looks to advance his undefeated record when he takes on Tyrone Barnett (23-4-1, 15 KOs) sur Août 6 à Oracle Arena. Barnett was in action this past February, with a technical knockout victory over Daniel Attah at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. The D.C. native is eager to stop Maurice Hooker’s momentum and take home the NABO title.

Having compiled an exceptional amateur record of 99-8, Rudy “The Revelation” Puga. Jr. (8-0, 7 KOs), the promising prospect from Salinas, California made his professional debut on September 2, 2011, scoring a fourth round technical knockout victory over Raul Talamontes at the Sports Complex in his hometown. Back in the ring less than two months later, Puga Jr. raised his record to 2-0 with a first round technical knockout of Jose Jesus Hurtado at the Sherwood Inn in Salinas. En juin 2012, he sent Thomas Turner to the mat four times scoring a second round technical knockout win at the Joint at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. After a little more than a year away from the ring, he rededicated himself to the “sweet science” with a vengeance and on February 17, 2014, Puga Jr. made his comeback stopping Charon Spain in the third round with an overpowering body shot at the Salinas Storm House in his native Salinas. Puga Jr. rounded out 2015 with a four-round technical knockout of Katrell Straus and a six-round unanimous decision over Juan Carlos Rojas. Sur Février 12, Puga Jr. extended his undefeated streak to 7 fights by knocking out Alejandro Osuna in two rounds at the Double Tree Hotel in Ontario, Californie. In his most recent fight on March 26, 2016 à Oracle Arena d'Oakland, California on HBO’s Andre Ward vs. Sullivan Barrera undercard, Puga Jr. extended his undefeated streak against Carlos “Kalimba” Lozano by way of a technical knockout in the sixth round. Brooklyn’s undefeated Junior “The Young God” Younan (9-0, 7 KOs) is considered one of New York City’s best boxing prospects. Younan, trained by his father Sherif, a former professional boxer himself, began fighting competitively at age eight and only deux ans plus tard was called a “boxing prodigy” by the New York Times. He compiled an amateur record of 90-5, racking up an impressive series of titles along the way including nine Junior Olympic championships, nine Junior Metro championships, eight New York State Silver Gloves championships and five Regional Silver Gloves championships. En 2011, he was crowned National Junior Golden Gloves champion and was U.S.A. Boxing’s number one rated junior boxer in his weight class. Less than a month after his 18e anniversaire, Younan made his professional debut on November 9, 2013, at the Aviator Sports and Events Center in Brooklyn, New York, stopping Kenneth Schmitz in the first round. During his recent match up on the Andre Ward vs. Sullivan Barrera undercard that took place March 26, 2016, Younan scored a four round unanimous decision over Christian Solarzano, pitching a shutout on all three scorecards. Facing his stiffest test to date on May 13, 2016 on the undercard of throne boxing’s Dusty Hernandez-Harrison vs. Mike Dallas, Jr. on BET and Tidal.com, Younan overwhelmed Rodrigo Almeida of Woburn, Massachusetts with a technical knockout in the first round at the DC Armory in Washington, D.C. Returning to Oakland on the Ward vs. Brand undercard, Younan is set to take on Jaime “Zarco” Solorio (5-2-2, 4 KOs) sur Août 6. Fighting out of Baja, Californie, the Mexico native is riding an undefeated streak in his last six fights.

Bilal “Rebellious” Mahasin (8-3-1, 1 KO) is no stranger to Oakland fight fans. A resident of the Bay Area’s eastern shore, Mahasin made his professional debut in 2002 with great promise, winning his first three fights. Sur Novembre 10, 2013, he fought one of the area’s top junior welterweight fighters, Moris Rodriguez, at the Red Lion Hotel in Sacramento, Californie. East Bay supporters made the trek to the state’s capital for Mahasin’s triumphant return which came by way of a six-round unanimous decision. Mahasin has accrued a ring record with a majority of the results coming as wins, and has transitioned up a weight class to super welterweight. He last fought on June 11, 2016 au 16e Street Rail Station in Oakland, going the distance with a six-round unanimous decision over Vincente Guzman. Mahasin is ready to take on journeyman Luis Alfredo Lugo (14-25-1, 5 KOs) sur Août 6 at Oracle Arena in front an ever-steadied fanfare.

Their respective most recent wins were both against Jesse Baughman (0-2). Both are accomplished wrestlers. At some point, Micro “La Moustache” Hansen (4-4) et Mat “La Bête Du Nord” Andrikut(2-0) were bound to collide. That collision will take place at “NEF 25: HÉROS & VILLAINS” sur Septembre 10, 2016 à Lewiston. The mixed-martial-arts (MMA) contest is set at a fight weight of 205-pounds.

 

Hansen is the founder of the Berserkers MMA fight team based out of the Greater Rumford Community Center in Rumford, Maine. He was a Maine state champion wrestling out of Mountain Valley High School. Hansen dropped his last fight to Brendan Battles (1-0) à “NEF 23” in Hyannis, Massachusetts. He had a chance to avenge that loss and get back on the winning track this month at “NEF 24,” but suffered a setback when his opponent fell out the morning of weigh-ins.

 

“This should be an exciting fight,” said Hansen. “Two good wrestlers ready to throw each other around sounds like a good time to me. This should be my last fight at 205 most likely, bien que. WBA Interim cruiserweight world champion & Mandatory challenger Beibut Shumenov protests Dorticos-Kalenga WBA “régulier” world cruiserweight title fight

LAS VEGAS (Avril 29, 2016) – World Boxing Association (WBA) Interim cruiserweight world champion Shumenov Beibu (16-2, 10 KOs), the only Kazakhstan-native to hold world titles in two different weight classes, is disputing the WBA’s sanctioning of the WBA “régulier” cruiserweight world championship fight, Mai 20 à Paris, between two lower-ranked WBA fighters, Ne Pas. 2 yunier Dorticos et n. 5 Youri Kalenga (recently upgraded to No. 3).

I am shocked and bewildered and do not understand the WBA’s rationale to have either of these fighters declared the WBA ‘regular’ champion without first defeating either Lebedev or me, the Interim champion and No. 1 rank contender.
“I appealed the decision but, jusque là, the WBA has done little in response to my appeals other than delay and stall before finally ruling that I will fight the Lebedev-Ramirez winner months from now, encore, ignoring my appeal to stop the regular title status of Dorticos-Kalenga and still sanction a fight between them, its No. 2 et n. 3 rated fighters, for the WBA ‘regular’ titre. This is unfair to fans, who deserve to watch the best fighting the best, especially when a world championship is at stake! We now have this odd situation where there will be three separate WBA cruiserweight fights in May, all for a different version of WBA world title I just don’t feel anyone should get the WBA ‘regular’ title without first defeating a champion or at least the top-ranked fighter in the division. The WBA knew I was and am ready to fight. Its decision makes no sense and, pour moi, diminishes the prestige and meaning of the title. I have respect for Dorticos and Kalenga but I think the legitimacy of any world title resulting from a fight between the No. 2 et n. 3 ranked contenders, when the No 1 mandatory contender who already holds the WBA Interim champion is ready and available, Pour dire le moins, is highly questionable.
“The WBA told me and announced to the media that it was working to have only one world champion in each division. While I’ve been sitting out the last four months waiting to fight, the WBA has decided to allow six different guys to fight for trois WBA cruiserweight world titles, practically on the same day, instead of crowning only one WBA cruiserweight world champion. I look forward to returning to the ring and my manager, Al HAYMON, has advised me that I will fight in May and we will announce next week. I will move forward and continue to fight inside the ring, letting my attorneys and manager fight this unfair situation outside the ring.”
