Brandon Bennett assume Jonathan Maicelo na 10 rodada evento principal esta noite sexta-feira em Walter E. Washington Convention Center, em Washington, DC

Washington, DC (Agosto 25, 2015) Esta sexta-feira noite, Agosto 28 E no Walter. Washington Convention Center, na capital do país de Washington, DC, Promoções rei vai apresentar uma noite espetacular de boxe, que contará com alguns dos melhores talentos nos Estados Unidos.

No evento principal, Brandon Bennett (19-1, 8 KO) será quadrado fora com o ex-desafiante ao título mundial Jonathan Maicelo (21-2, 12 KO) em um ataque leve prevista para 10 rounds.

Bennett de Cincinnati, Ohio tem treinado duro para Maicelo, que tem desafiado por um título mundial interino.

“O treinamento tem sido boa. I sido em peso por alguns dias. Tem sido 2 meses difíceis, mas a parte difícil de treinamento e dieta é longo e eu estou pronto para lutar,” disse Bennett.

No evento principal, Brandon Bennett will square off with former world title challenger Jonathan Maicelo in a Lightweight bout scheduled for 10-rounds.

Bennett de Cincinnati, OH has a record of 19-1 com 8 nocautes. O 27 year-old has been a professional for seven years and won his first 16 bouts which included a win over John Nater (9-1). Since suffering his only defeat, Bennett has won three in a row which has been highlighted with a with a win over previously undefeated Rodney Pierre-Paul (7-0) and his last bout when he stopped Rondale Hubbert (10-1-1) in three rounds on May 29 na Filadélfia.

Maicelo of North Bergen, NJ has a record of 21-2 com 12 nocautes. He began his career in his native Peru in 2005. He racked up 17 wins and in the process won the WBC Latino Lightweight title and the WBA Fedecentro Lightweight title. He has wins over former world title challengers Daniel Attah and Fernando Angulo and also has a win over Art Hovhannisyan. Em sua última luta, Maicelo lost a 12-round unanimous decision to Darleys Perez for the Interim WBA Lightweight championship on January 9 in Santa Ynez, Califórnia.

In a six-round Super Middleweight bout Farah Ennis (21-2, 12 KO) will make his return to the ring after a 22 month hiatus when he takes on Michael Gbenga (20-19, 20 KO)
Ennis, who was last seen dropping a 10-round unanimous decision to new WBC Super Middleweight champion Badou Jack, is looking to get back into contention with a big outing over the veteran from Ghana.
“O treinamento tem sido boa. I only know that Gbenga is from Ghana,” said Ennis.
After what Ennis admitted was a lackluster performance against Jack, he needed some time away from the sport in order to get himself back on track.
“I took the time off to get my mind together. In that fight I didn’t let my hands go. I was thinking too much and I know I could have beat him. It just wasn’t my night.”
Ennis also took the time off to get into some training camps and improve on his own game.
“I was in camp with David Lemieux for when he fought Gabriel Rosado. It was during that time I got my head back and now is where I need to be. I need to go out and listen to my dad (Trainer Bozy Ennis). I am in 32 anos de idade agora. É isso. It is either all or nothing.”

Frank De Alba headlines against Bernardo Gomez Uribe this Friday at Stadium Holiday Inn Philadelphia

De Alba of Reading, PA has been one of the hottest fighters on the East Coast as he has won 13 straight bouts and is unbeaten since dropping his professional debut in 2011.
O 27 year-old is coming into his own and has been training hard in preparation for this bout against Uribe.
“O treinamento tem sido grande. eu sinto 100% and this truly has been one of the best camps I have ever had. I really feel like I am in the best shape in my career,” disse De Alba.
Like two of his last three opponents, Jose Bustos and Pablo Batres, Uribe is a tough yet unknown fighter from Mexico who sports a solid record.
“He is a unknown guy with a decent record. Além disso, I don’t know much about him but that doesn’t matter as I train for any style that he may bring.”
De Alba is on the cusp of some big fights in the Jr. Lightweight division and he can’t look past Uribe to get those opportunities.

De Alba, who works in an warehouse foundry, knows that the next year is a moving year and those big fights are on the horizon.

Inn na Filadélfia, King’s Promotions presents a great night of championship boxing that will headlined by 10-round UBF Lightweight championship bout between Frankie De Alba (15-1-2, 5 KO) e Bernardo Gomez Uribe (14-3, 10 KO).
In one of the 8-round co-features, Steve Upsher Chambers (24-4-1, 6 KO) returns to the city where he cut his teeth as a professional to take on Alejandro Rodriguez (24-16-1, 14 KO) num Jr. Ataque Welterweight.
Chambers, who came originally to Philadelphia with former Heavyweight title challenger, “Rápido” Eddie Chambers, lutou 23 times and the famed Blue Horizon in Philadelphia and will be making his first start in the City of Brotherly Love in almost 6 anos.
“I have been training hard and working on opening my new gym with (peso leve) Rod Salka,” said Upsher.
“I am on weight already and I feel good. We will be fighting at 142 libras.”
Upsher is ready to show the fans how far his abilities have grown since he turned pro in Philadelphia in 2003 quando ele era apenas 18 anos.
“I am happy to be coming back to Philadelphia. I want to show people how far I have come and see the improvement that I have made as a fighter.”
Despite losing his three bouts to the likes of former world champions Luis Collazo and Andre Berto as well as then-undefeated prospect Eddie Gomez, Upsher was competitive in all those bouts and grew tremendously from those experiences.
“It showed that I can compete against that level of fighter. Plus everyone of those guys was bigger than me. Eu sou um naturais 140 pounder and can make 135 if the right opportunity presented itself.”
Chambers went back to his native Pittsburgh to train in neighboring city Coal Center, PA.
“My mind is set on winning a world title at 140 libras. After the three losses, I cant afford any missteps. People see about the losses. I know I have the ability to be a world champion and on Maio 29 that will start to show.”
On the veteran opponent, Rodriguez, Upsher said, “I know he is tough and from Mexico. I will look at a little film before the fight and go from there. I really don’t worry about what he will do. He should worry about me. This fight is redemption for me. It’s a start and then I would like to right all of the losses. But first I am looking for a dominant performance na sexta-feira then I want to end all doubts.”
