King’s Promotions announces 14 dates for 2018

Fights cards at 2300 Арена, Sands Bethlehem Event Center and SugarHouse Casino
Четене, PA (Декември 18, 2017) – Marshall Kauffman’s King’s Promotions is pleased to announce that the company will stage at least 14 events in Pennsylvania in 2018.
The dates will be spread out over three of the premiere venues in the state.
The 2300 Arena and SugarHouse Casino in Philadelphia as well as the Sands Bethlehem Event Center will stage the fight cards which will be seen live on national television.
“I want to thank these three tremendous venues for the opportunity to bring the best fights to the fans in Eastern Pennsylvania. We have built up a great following in all of these places, and over the past three years or so we have been the busiest promoter in the country. 2018 will be the same. King’s Promotions continues to grow and, we are working on dates all over the country,” said King’s Promotions President Marshall Kauffman.

Филаделфия, PA (Декември 5, 2017) – Last Friday night Тайрън Brunson stopped Manny Woods to win the UBF International Junior Middleweight title after eight-rounds of a scheduled ten-round bout in front of a sold out crowd at the 2300 Арена.
The exciting 12-bout card was promoted by King’s Promotions.
Brunson of Philadelphia systematically broke down woods as he boxed well using a pinpoint jab over the first half of the fight. В шести кръг, Brunson started landing hard power punches and began to stagger Woods. Finally after round eight, the corner of Woods pulled the plug on the bout, and Brunson scored his 3rd straight win.
Brunson is now 26-6-2 с 24 нокаута. Woods of Saint Petersburg, Florida is 16-7-1.

Robinson got the better of the action as he cut Brooker in 2 places around the left eye. Brooker tried to get back in the fight over the last couple rounds, but it was Robinson’s boxing and power punches that propelled him to the victory by 80-72, 79-73 и 78-74.
Robinson of Philadelphia is 8-1. Brooker of Philadelphia is 12-5.

RIP Desmond Hammond

Четене, PA (Ноември 14, 2017) – King’s Promotions is deeply saddened at the passing of Desmond Hammond.

Hammond of Reading, Pennsylvania passed away в понеделник morning at the age of 35. He was at his home and surrounded by his family.
Hammond was the Director of Operations for King’s Promotions for the better part of the last three years. He was the nephew of King’s Promotions CEO Marshall Kauffman.
“This is such a sad day for my family and for everyone who knew Desmond,” каза Kauffman.
“Desmond was like a son to me. He is my sister’s son, and he is basically the same age as my children so we are extremely close. Desmond came to boxing just a few years ago and he picked up the business so fast. We have run more shows then anybody in the country, and they all have come off so smoothly. That was because of Desmond. He was on top of every detail, which made the events go off without a hitch. But most of all he was very selfless and caring. He was always there for someone in need. He was a great young man, who was very smart, and he was always joking. It was such an honor for me to have him on board with King’s Promotions. He was such a special person who was loved and will be missed so much.”
Besides Kauffman and his family, Hammond is survived by his mother Sheri Clark, sisters Lynchel Hammond and Raven Hammond, brother Steven Brandon, his daughter Dayana, newborn son Donovan and his girlfriend Alisha.

Robinson, who got a late start in the sport, has won six fights in a row after his pro debut when he fought 30 pounds over his natural weight-class, and lost to former National Golden Gloves champion Mike Hilton.

Fox на Forestville, Maryland has had a flawless camp as he prepared for this potentially tough challenge.
“My training went very well. My weight came off nicely, and I had great sparring. I feel very good as I head into this fight,” каза Fox.
In Aguas, he is facing a battled tested foe who has fought good competition in his home country of Ecuador and in Mexico. His lone defeated came in his last bout against then-undefeated prospect Ivan Golub.
“Aguas fought against Golub, who is a known commodity. I know that Aguas has a good record and has power, and he has been 12 кръга, so I expect to have to fight the whole time in there.”
The King’s Promotions signee, Fox is looking forward to his maiden voyage into one of the great fight towns in Philadelphia.
“Philly is a great fight town. I know a lot of people up there like Julian Williams, Tevin Farmer and Jesse Hart. Those guys are tough, and Philly has a lot of tough fighters. I am really looking forward to fighting in front of the Philly fight crowd.”
Fox is really excited about what a win will do for him going forward.
“This win will be a a good look for me because of his record. It will show people that I can handle myself against a battle tested opponent, and hopefully it will catapult me into a ShoBox opportunity, and keep me moving in my career. I want to thank everybody who has been rooting for me and following me.”

Carto (11-0, 11 Нокаута) of Philadelphia has developed into one of the top prospects in the Philadelphia region and combined with his growing fan base, Carto has become a must-see attraction.
“Everything has gone great in camp. I feel really good for Friday,” said Carto.
In Melendez, he is fighting a tough fighter from Mexico who sports an impressive mark of 14-1 с 12 нокаута.
“I have seen a few videos of him, and I know he is a southpaw. Той е добър боец, and on paper it looks like he is my toughest fight, but I can tell you for sure after the fight.”
Ever since he was an amateur, Carto has been a popular fighter, drawing large crowds, but since becoming a professional, Carto is starting to build into an attraction, where he is starting to acquire more and more fans with each fight.
“I am starting to notice that my fan base is growing. That makes me feel good that people want to come out and see me fight.”
