“Castillo has a great jab and good combinations. A guy like that throws a lot of punches, but there is a technique to breaking down a fighter like that.

This fight requires great preparation because he is going into the fight at a weight that’s higher than his normal weight and he is facing a very tough opponent.

 

“He must go in 100 percent to win this fight.

 

“I think there has been a 180 degree turn in his career. I see this as a positive because he can really develop his ability and looks very well prepared.

 

“I would’ve liked to have seen him take a tune up fight instead because of his long layoff; I particularly didn’t want this fight.

“Lake Tahoe was tremendous for training camp. You are isolated and it’s not an easy thing. When you aren’t training you are sitting in a hotel room. You are deprived the comforts of home, but it really gives you that concentration and dedication factor and I think that will interpret into some positive results.

 

“I matured over my years, once I had a kid and a family and I think the same has happened with Julio. Life becomes clearer when you put away the immaturity. You realize that you have a future and if you really want to access what’s available to you, then you are going to have to work hard and dedicate yourself to it.

 

“Going to Lake Tahoe and really working hard is a sign of maturity and I think that’s what Julio is going through right now. He really showed it by leaving his home and spending an extended period of time up there. To me that is a great indicator that he is mature, dedicated and taking this fight very seriously.

 

“Of course I believe Julio is ready to fight Fonfara. The fight was made before I even came on board, but that’s the challenge that I am presented with. You must figure out a good game plan and figure out what you’re up against.

La mentalità aggressiva, 30-anni Escandon captured the crown in his last start via a 12-round split decision over Canadian southpaw Tyson Cave last Dicembre. 11. Escandon was making his United States debut and triumphed in a tight fight by the scores of 117-111, 115-113 e 113-115.

 

Escandon was a top amateur -he represented Colombia in the 2004 Giochi Olimpici- before turning professional in June 2006. Twenty of his initial 21 fights took place in his native Colombia while he’s also fought in Argentina and Panama. His lone defeat came in his first attempt at the interim WBA title on a split 12-round decision to Nehomar Cermenoon Aug. 10, 2013, a Panama. .

Omar Chavez, 25, the youngest son of Julio Sr. and three years younger than Julio Jr., will be making his U.S. e 2015 debutto. All his fights have been in Mexico, where he turned pro at the tender age of 16 nel mese di dicembre 2006. Maidana, 22, is nine years younger than Marcos. A pro since June 21, 2014, he has won his last four fights by knockout, all within two rounds.

 

An exciting, come-forward crowd-pleaser (like his big brother), Maidana will be making his third start at StubHub. He won a decision his first time out and by a first-round knockout over Phillip Sorianothe second time around.

 

A terrific amateur, Maidana was the Pan American Youth Championships Bronze Medalist and World Youth Championships Silver Medalist in 2010.

 

A former world title contender, Guerriero is looking to bounce back from losing to David Lemieux in 2014. QUEBEC CITY (Aprile 2, 2015) – Prima inaugurale Premier Boxing Champions su CBS trasmissione televisiva inizia (3 p.m. E/12 p.m. PT), uno stuolo di giovani stelle cercherà di accendere il Pepsi Coliseum folla in una serie di attacchi undercard inizio alle 1 p.m. E.

PBC su CBS, in evidenza da pesi massimi lotta campionato del mondo di luce tra Adone “Superuomo” Stevenson e Sakio “La Scorpion” Toro e con Artur Beterbiev mentre affronta Gabriel “The Handsome Man” Campillo, è promosso da Groupe Yvon Michel (PALESTRA) e presentato da Videotron e in associazione con Mise-O-Jeu.

 

A guidare l'azione undercard è imbattuto in aumento contendente super welter Giuliano “J roccia” Williams (18-0-1, 11 KO), che sarà belooking di continuare la sua ascesa verso la celebrità quando affronta emozionanti Joey “Fingers scintillio” Hernandez (24-2-1, 14 KO)in un 10 round welter.

 

In un altro top match non televisivo, Kevin Bizier (23-2, 16 KO)torna sul ring nella sua città natale a faccia Fouad El Massoudi (12-4, 1 KO)in otto round super-welter showdown. In un rottame dei pesi massimi otto round, imbattuto Oscar “Kaboom” Rivas (15-0, 10 KO) dovrà affrontare Oezcan Cetinkaya (19-9-2, 13 KO).

 

In un paio di attacchi super welter, Sebastien Bouchard (9-1, 3 KO) assumerà Denis Farias (19-6-2, 1 KO) in uno scontro otto round e Custio Clayton (2-0, 1 KO) dovrà affrontare Ronald Berti (4-3-1, 1 KO)in una resa dei conti sei round.

 

Il resto della scheda è completata da un trio di prospettive canadesi che cercano di costruire i loro pro curriculum. Jan Michael Poulin (1-0-1) assume Michel Tsalla (1-9-2) in un quattro round medi, Vislan Dalkhaev (1-0) battaglie Adel Hadjouis (7-3) in un quattro round gallo attacco e Shakeel Pen (1-0, 1 KO) facce Rene roody (0-2-1)in una quattro round super medi.

Una prospettiva imbattuto proveniente da f grande città di combattimento di Philadelphia, Williams sta cercando di mantenere il suo record di imbattibilità intatta e impressionare sul grande palco. Il 24-year-old affronta una dura prova in Miami-native Hernandez. Il 30-year-old Hernandez ha combattuto alcuni dei migliori nel pugilato e ha intenzione di consegnare Williams la sua prima perdita professionale, quando i due piazza off.

Egli spera di costruire il suo caso con una vittoria sul 27-year-old El Massoudi, che sta facendo il suo debutto in Nord America. Il combattente di Clermont-Ferrand, Puy-de-Dome, Francia spera di avere un impatto immediato nella sua battaglia contro Bizier.

 

Un imbattuto dei pesi massimi che ha rappresentato Columbia al 2008 Olimpiadi, Rivas ha combattuto esclusivamente nella sua città di adozione, Montreal dal passare al professionismo in 2009. Starà facendo la sua prima partenza al Pepsi Coliseum quando affronta Cetinkaya, di Kassel, Hesse, Germania.

QUEBEC CITY, QUEBEC (Aprile 1, 2015) – Durante Mercoledì conferenza stampa finale presso Le Bonne Entente a Quebec City, entrambi Adone “Superuomo” Stevenson e Sakio “La Scorpion” Toro ha promesso un knockout quando si incontrano nell'evento principale della presentazione di debutto di Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) su CBSRete televisiva questo sabato, Aprile 4, a 3 p.m. E/Noon PT.

 

Il violento Stevenson (25-1, 21 KO) difenderà il suo campionato mondiale dei pesi massimi leggeri contro l'ex campione del mondo dei pesi massimi Bika (32-6-3, 21 KO) nell'evento principale dal Pepsi Coliseum in Quebec City.

 

Il caso è stato lo stesso con i combattenti dell'evento principale sia come pesi massimi leggeri imbattuti che come due volte olimpionici russi Artur Beterbiev (7-0, 7 KO) ed ex campione del mondo dei pesi massimi leggeri Gabriel Campillo (25-6-1, 12 KO) dovrebbe vincere per KO questo Sabato pomeriggio. Campillo, sportivo a Tom Brady jersey, ha anche promesso che avrebbe vinto in modo drammatico come il campione del Super Bowl di quest'anno dei New England Patriots.

ADONIS STEVENSON:

“So che Sakio proverà a prendersi il mio titolo, ma sono preparato per questo.

 

“So che era un campione. Ho fatto il passaggio da 168 a 175 libbre e ha funzionato bene per me. Mi aspetto che dia il meglio di sé 175 libbre. È un ex campione, quindi mi sto preparando ad affrontare un campione.

“Emanuel also told me the knockout sells. It’s something that we both know and it’s something that is imbedded in us. We’re looking for the knockout on Aprile 4. Sometimes I see things that Adonis is looking to do before he does it. So I’ll just be sitting there waiting for Adonis to catch Sakio Bika making a mistake and getting a knockout.

 

“I’m super proud to represent Kronk Gym. That’s why I wear my hat here. Kronk to me is like my family name and that’s what I live by. I was born into Kronk when I was a little kid going to a tournament with my uncle Emanuel and all I remember is the Kronk fighters winning. And that’s what I do now: vittoria.

 

“Adonis is an artist, he’s a KO artist. La mia previsione per Sabato is a knockout on CBS.

“I can’t say if Stevenson is overlooking him because I’m not around him enough. But I know the fans and media want to make the Kovalev fight. It was good for Bika to hear that because it motivated him. He knows he has an opportunity to do something about it. Di Sabato afternoon he can change all that.

 

“If Stevenson does what he says he’s going to do – meet him in the center of the ring and go toe-to-toe – this is going to be a tremendous fight.

 

“If he comes to the center of the ring and fights and goes toe-to-toe then this fight won’t go the distance. If Stevenson comes to trade I think he gets knocked out. If he runs around the ring and boxes then it could be a different outcome.”

 

 

ARTUR BETERBIEV:

“I don’t think this is a big challenge for me. I’m ready to face the world champions and raise the bar higher. This is just another opponent for me.

 

“This is another step that will move me closer to facing the champions at 175 libbre. I want to put on a solid fight and show that I’m one of the best fighters in this division.

 

“A knockout is never a goal for me. I’m trying to show my work and my dedication in the ring, but usually that’s what happens. Usually I finish with a knockout but that is not my main goal. My main goal is to box and show my skills.

 

“My motivation is to face the champions. That’s why I work so hard every day in the gym. I will get there soon.

 

“Why not face Kovalev? Sono pronto. When I turned professional my goal was to meet the champions. He’s a champion now and I’d like to face the champions.”

 

 

Gabriel Campillo:

“We started training Jan. 1 and camp has been very good. We’ve been working very hard and I think I’m in great condition for this fight.

 

“Beterbiev may not have a lot of professional experience, but he’s had a very long amateur career. So we know that he’s ready and is a good opponent for us. We’ll see how he handles things once we get past the 5th, 6th e 7th round.

 

“To get ready for a hard-hitter like Beterbiev required lots of conditioning training. We worked the neck and the chin a lot. We think we’ve got a great chance in the second half of this fight though considering Beterbiev hasn’t really been tested like that.

 

“As for a prediction, I’m going to knock Beterbiev out in the seventh round.”
