WOMEN’S FIGHT AT NEF 29 IS A MATTER OF RESPECT

PER IL RILASCIO IMMEDIATO: Lewiston, Maine (Maggio 9, 2017) - “I wanna knock her out!” Those were the emphatic words of Walker (3-1) when asked last weekend at “NEF 28” for her prediction on her upcoming fight with Sarah Ziehm (1-0). The crowd at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee erupted in response.

 

Walker and Ziehm are scheduled to face off when New England Fights (NEF) returns to the Colisee onSabato, Giugno 17, 2017 with the fight promotion’s next event, “NEF 29: STARS & STRIPES.” Walker, a two-fight veteran of the NEF cage and a member of Lancaster, New Hampshire’s Team Kaze, has made it her mission to teach Ziehm a lesson in respect for what Walker viewed as a “cocky” performance in Ziehm’s debut earlier this year.

 

“I have respect for 99% of the females I do battle with, but I do not respect her,” said Walker when reached for comment. “I don’t like the way she handled herself in her first fight, I think she needs to be humbled and I will do that in June – if she even shows up! My manager told (NEF matchmaker) Matt Peterson to have a backup because she will come up with an excuse not to get a beating.”

 

Ziehm made her MMA debut last February with a win over Nicole Burgess (0-2). She submitted Burgess in the third round after a dominant performance. PER IL RILASCIO IMMEDIATO: Lewiston, Maine (Maggio 5, 2017) -Nuova Inghilterra Combattimenti (NEF) returns to the Androscoggin Bank Colisee on Sabato, Giugno 17, 2017 with the fight promotion’s next event, “NEF 29: STARS & STRIPES.” The event will feature a full slate of mixed-martial-arts (MMA) and professional boxing bouts. Denning entered the cage six days ago looking to break a four-fight skid. The Central Maine Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (CMBJJ) featherweight worked his ground game and submitted Josh Parker (5-9) with a Guillotine Choke in the first round. He donated a portion of his earnings for the fight to Derek Shorey’s (4-9) family members recently left homeless by a fire in Somersworth, New Hampshire. Denning has now vowed revenge for his teammate, Tollison Lewis (1-6), who fell to Jones last weekend, and he has committed to going undefeated for the remainder of the year.

 

“I’m excited to continue my fighting career with New England Fights,” ha detto Denning. “I’m coming for another win against someone who just TKO’d my teammate. He seems like a nice kid and a solid wrestler, but I’m a better striker and have far superior jiu-jitsu! I’m not losing again this year! See you guys June 17th.”

 

After a takedown early in the first round, Dom Jones was able to do exactly what his nickname says – dominate – against Tollison Lewis last Saturday night at “NEF 28.” Jones used his wrestling to smother Lewis, defending submission attempts in the process, and pounding a TKO win out of Lewis in the final minute of the first round. The bout was Jones’ first in Maine after a lengthy amateur career in his previous home state of Florida. Jones predicts that he will be the one walking away with a two-fight win streak on Giugno 17.

 

“I’m excited for this match up,” stated Jones. “Wrestling versus jiu-jitsu! Di nuovo, our gyms clash! It’s a good fight for me. He spent the vast majority of that time competing in the boxing ring, yet it was a submission that Parker used to overcome Shorey. For Parker, the head of Ruthless MMA & Boxing based in Benton, Maine, the fight with Denning is not business as usual. The nature of the trash talking has turned personal, and Parker vows vengeance for what he sees as disrespect on Denning’s part.

“There comes a time in every fighter’s career that the fight has nothing to do with records or money,” Ha detto Parker. “It’s to prove a point. My name has come out of this kid’s mouth too many times. Su April 29th, I’m gonna shut it.”

PER IL RILASCIO IMMEDIATO: Lewiston, Maine (Novembre 19, 2016) - Combattimenti New England (NEF) held its latest mixed-martial-arts (MMA) evento, “NEF 26: SUPREMACY” on Saturday night at the Androscoggin Bank Colisée in Lewiston, Maine. The promotion presented a total of 14 MMA bouts before a robust crowd of fight fans.

 

Blood flowed early and it continued to flow liberally throughout the night.

NEF 26 MMA CARD FEATURES WOMEN’S FIGHTS, TITLE FIGHTS, RETURNS, DEBUTS AND MORE

Lewiston, Maine (Ottobre 21, 2016) – New England Combattimenti (NEF) presenta il suo prossimo evento di arti marziali miste, “NEF 26: SUPREMACY,” il Sabato, Novembre 19 al Androscoggin Bank Colisee. Proprio oggi, NEF executives announced the full fight card for the event which will be the fight promotion’s grand finale for 2016.

 

Nel main event, “Il” Ryan Sanders (10-8) si incontreranno Jon Lemke (5-6) in a professional lightweight bout. It will be Sanders’ first fight in Lewiston since November 2014. Much has been made of the fact that Sanders and Lemke are former teammates. The bout is considered a “dream match” by Maine fight fans, especially those from the Bangor-area familiar with the rivalry between Sanders’ camp Young’s MMA and Lemke’s camp Team Irish.

 

The co-main event of the evening will feature an interesting “coach vs. allenatore” battaglia. “Infrangibile 2.0” Derek Shorey (4-7), head of the Shatterproof Combat Club, is scheduled to face Ruthless MMA & Boxing founder Josh Parker (4-8) in a professional featherweight contest. Shorey is coming off a big win in Rhode Island earlier this fall, while Parker will be returning to the MMA cage after spending the last three years competing as a boxer.

 

Rounding out the professional portion of the card will be undefeated prospect Aaron “Implacabile” Lacey (3-0) e Taylor Trahan (6-6) in un incontro piuma. Lacey and Trahan both submitted their respective opponents at “NEF 25” il mese scorso. Two women’s fights are on tap for “NEF 26.” Jessica “La vedova nera” pagare (2-2) returns from Florida to meet Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt Brianne Genschel (0-0). Genschel’s First Class MMA teammate “Hollywood” Hannah Sparrell (1-1) will also be in action against Fernanda Araujo (4-4-2).

 

Jay Jack and Amanda Buckner’s The Academy in Portland, Maine will send two new fighters to the cage at “NEF 26.” Chad Pierce (0-0) will debut against Shatterproof’s Lyman Curtis (0-0), mentre Phil Chiasson (0-0) incontra Rik Seymour (0-0) of 3Ronin Athletics. SHATTERPROOF AND RUTHLESS IN MAINE TURF WAR AT NEF 26

He battled Elias Leland to a draw last November in a boxing bout at “NEF XX.” Parker predicts a finish in his long-awaited return to cage competition.

BOXERS LOOK TO GET ON THE WINNING TRACK AT NEF 22

Dixon, who calls Lancaster, Pennsylvania his home, often fights multiple times in a given month in places as far away as Texas, California and, più recentemente, Ohio. He made the 500-mile trek to Lewiston, Maine last month, picking up a win in the NEF ring against Antonio Chaves Fernandez (7-26-3). Dixon will be looking to get back in the win column at “NEF 22” after a loss last weekend.

Come notato, Parker ha iniziato la sua carriera pugilistica nella primavera del 2014 quando ha accettato un incontro con Brandon Berry nel Nord Anson, Maine. Parker ha tenuto testa all'incontro, alla fine lasciando cadere una decisione a quattro round. Purtroppo per Parker, ha avuto qualche problema a trovare incontri di boxe nell'ultimo anno e mezzo dopo l'incontro con Berry. Con NEF ora che opera come promozione di MMA e boxe, Parker, e altri lo amano, sono destinati a beneficiare di programma di stabilità e manifestazioni coerenti della società.

 

“E 'stato molto frustrante,” Parker ha detto di cercare di trovare incontri di pugilato. “Ho provato ad installare un paio di combattimenti attraverso altre promozioni fuori dallo stato e sono caduti attraverso. So di poter sempre contare su NEF per darmi l'opportunità di mettere in mostra le mie capacità. Sono estremamente eccitato per 21 novembre, soprattutto di far parte del primo dual MMA e boxe spettacolo. È passato un anno e mezzo dal mio debutto nel pugilato. Non ho fatto altro che treno da. Non vedo l'ora di poter finalmente mettere alla prova tutto quel duro lavoro.”

Lewiston, Maine (Ottobre 23, 2015) - Combattimenti New England (NEF), Numero uno di promozione lotta regionale dell'America, terrà la sua prossimo evento, “NEF XX: Una storia di violenza” su Sabato, Novembre 21, 2015 al Androscoggin Bank Colisée a Lewiston, Maine. L'evento sarà caratterizzato da una prima per Maine – misto di arti marziali (MMA) attacchi e attacchi professionali boxe sullo stesso evento con una gabbia di MMA e un ring di pugilato istituito side-by-side. Proprio oggi, la promozione ha annunciato la carta piena lotta per l'evento.

 

La porzione boxe professionistica della card sarà in evidenza da nordest welter junior campione Brandon “The Cannon” Bacca (9-1) in un incontro di otto round contro l'ex campione messicano Pacific Coast Super Featherweight Roberto “The Old” Valenzuela (73-69-2, 56 KO). Riconosciuto come due delle prospettive più promettenti della zona, Legno e argilla sono entrambi previsti da esperti per essere candidati futuri campionati più importanti dello sport.

 

Crowsneck Boutin (1-1) cercherà di rimbalzo dalla sua prima perdita professionale il mese scorso quando incontra Matt Bordonaro (2-0). L'incontro sarà una rivincita dai loro giorni amatoriali quando Bordonaro sconfisse Boutin per sottomissione a “NEF IX” a Biddeford, Maine. Sarà anche il debutto di Boutin nella divisione welter da 170 libbre.

 

Due periodi titolo sarà headliner della porzione MMA amatoriale della “NEF XX” carta di lotta. Dustin Veinott (4-3) difende il titolo NEF MMA Amateur mosca contro Ryan Burgess (1-0), mentre Aaron “Implacabile” Lacey (5-1) fa battaglia con Caleb Horner (6-2) per incoronare un campione dei pesi piuma amatoriale NEF MMA inaugurale.
