A highly decorated amateur who represented his native Ukraine in the 2008 OS, Derevyanchenko now lives and trains in Brooklyn. His 2016 saw him earn a TKO victory over Mike Guy in March before stopping former champion Sam Soliman in the second round of a world title eliminator in July. The unbeaten fighter defeated a slew of experienced contenders in 2015 with wins over Elvin Ayala, Alan Campa, Vladine Biosse and a thrilling third-round stoppage of Jessie Nicklow.
Representing Jamaica, Russell enters this bout unbeaten since turning pro in 2013. The 27-year-old made his name in his home country by winning the Jamaican version of Utmanaren i 2015 with a stoppage of Richard Holmes. Russell picked up two more victories in 2016, including a second round knockout of Henry Mercer in his U.S. debut in October.

MONTREAL (Juni 4) – As the world mourns the loss of Muhammad Ali, Lördag night’s Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) on ESPN and ESPN Deportes telecast began with a “Ceremonial 10-Count” in memory of “Den Bästa” and continued to pay tribute to him throughout the telecast that was headlined by a light heavyweight bout between hard-hitting Russian Olympian Artur Beterbiev against Argentina’s Ezequiel Maderna.
The 31-year-old Beterbiev (10-0, 10 Kos), who fights out of Montreal, returned to the ring after an almost year-long layoff following shoulder surgery. Now seven months removed from the procedure, Beterbiev looked sharp from the opening bell as he threw straight right hands and body shots effectively to start the fight.
Maderna, who was also coming off of a long layoff, was hoping to make a statement in his first fight on North American soil as he moved up in weight for this bout. Beterbiev utilized his power and precision to control the entire fight, but kicked it into high gear in the third round, sending the 29-year-old Maderna to the canvas with two right hands. He stood up, but soon after was sent to the canvas again. Denna gång, spitting out his mouth piece to delay the bout causing Referee Marlon B. Wright to deduct a point.

The PBC on ESPN telecast, which is the first of seven between Juni 4 och augusti 12, opened with two welterweight southpaws facing off in hopes of maintaining their undefeated records. Grayton was more active at the beginning of the fight, working his right hand on the inside. Perrella used his longer reach and height difference to his advantage as he did his best to dictate the pace. Perrella knocked Grayton down in the beginning of the second round and became forceful with the right hand as Grayton left himself open to punishment. Slutligen, Perrella threw a left that caused Grayton to stumble and referee David Griffin waved off the fight at 2:19.
“He came in real tough – a tough competitor,” Said Perrella. “I was the best man tonight. I caught him with some really hard shots, dazed him. I took my time, I listened to what my team said and got him out of there.
“This is tremendous,” Perella continued. “This is what we’ve been wanting for a while to fight another undefeated prospect and get the recognition we feel we deserve. The welterweight division is filled with lions, tigers and bears, but I’m Tarzan baby. I’m the king of this jungle. I’m ready for whatever.”
Also featured on the telecast was a six-round super welterweight contest between prospect Jamontay Clark (10-0, 6 Kos) of Cincinnati and Mexican warrior Edgar Ortega (16-6, 10 Kos). The game Ortega shocked the six-foot-two Clark in the first round, sending him to the canvas with a hard right hand. Clark regained his composure in between the first and second, controlling the fight from then on. Despite taking the fight with nine days’ varsel, Ortega stayed with Clark all six rounds, even rolling his ankle in the fourth. After the final bell rung, Clark remained undefeated, registering a unanimous decision victory with the judges scoring the bout 58-55 och 58-54 (två gånger).

He will take on the West Virginia-born Bates who enters this fight on a four bout win streak.
Clark, a highly-regarded prospect and Cincinnati-native impressed in his hometown last time out by stopping veteran Elvin Perez in the sixth round in February. We know we have a rangy southpaw who’s going to be tough. It’s about whoever wants it the most and I bet I’ll be hungrier. When I get the win, the sky is the limit.”

Beterbiev returns to his adopted homeland after last fighting in June 2015 and recovering from a shoulder surgery. A two-time Russian Olympian, Beterbiev has fought out of Montreal for his professional career that began in 2013. The 31-year-old has sent all of his opponents out within the distance including dominating performances over former world champions Tavoris Cloud and Gabriel Campillo.
Maderna turned pro in 2008 after representing his native Argentina in the 2008 Olympics and was unbeaten in his first 19 fights before losing a narrow decision to Edwin Rodriguez. Both of the 29-year-old’s defeats have come to unbeaten fighters and he enters this fight on a three bout winning streak including a first round knockout of Rolando Mansilla his last time out.
An undefeated 27-year-old out of Fort Myers, Florida, Perrella comes in off a second round stoppage of Ramon Ayala in January. He picked up five knockouts in a row in 2015 and looks to make it 11 in a row overall when he faces his toughest test yet on Juni 4.
A Washington D.C. product, Grayton was a National Golden Gloves Champion who beat Errol Spence Jr. on his way to picking up that title. The 28-year-old entered the professional ranks in 2012 and is unbeaten since. Han började 2016 with a stoppage of Daniel Souza Santos in January and now looks to make his mark in a competitive welterweight battle.

MONTREAL (Maj 11, 2016) — World light heavyweight contender Artur Beterbiev återgår till ringen Lördag natt, Juni 7, to defend his World Boxing Organization (WBO) International and North American Boxing Association (Också) title belts against Argentinian champion Ezequiel “El Olympico” Maderna in the 12-round main event at historic Belle Centre i Montreal, Kanada.

The 31-year-old Beterbiev (9-0, 9 Kos), the adopted son of Montreal, is on a seek-and-destroy mission for his first fight i ett år. BETHLEHEM, PA. (Februari 10, 2016) – Undefeated 2012 US. Olympian Jamel Sill (15-0, 8 Kos) scored a unanimous decision (100-88, 100-88, 99-89) over Colombia’s Luis Eduardo Flores (21-3, 17 Kos) in a 10-round lightweight bout in the main event of Tisdagens Premier Boxning Champions (PBC) TOE till tå TISDAG på FS1 och Boxning Champions på FOX Sports fight card at Sands Event Center in Bethlehem, PA.
Sill, who represented the United States at the 2012 Olympic games after winning the U.S. National Amateur titeln samma år, commanded the action throughout.
“I knew if I boxed smart it would show, but I didn’t think it would be that wide a margin,” Said Sill. “He’s a very experienced fighter.”
sill tillsatt, “I was trying to get rid of him early because he’s a dangerous guy. If you let a guy like that sit around too long there’s always the risk that you might get clipped with something and regret it.”
Sill, en US. Marine Corps veteran, hopes the win Tisdag night will launch him into world title contention in 2016.
Att göra sin US. debut, the Magangue, Colombia native Flores put on a valiant effort, recovering from a flurry in the second round that would have sent most fighters packing.

Flores added, “Jag vet (Sill) had the advantage i kväll, and he outperformed me. But I’ll keep trying wherever my next opportunity comes.”
“I think getting a win like this over a fighter with Flores’ experience will help me gain a lot more respect. People seeing me win on my first PBC card on national TV on FS1 and FOX Deportes just helps raise my profile and I look forward to being back,” Said Sill.
The opening televised bout featured unbeaten prospect Alex Martin (12-0, 5 Kos) besegra Rossemberth Gomez (17-5-1, 13 Kos) genom enhälligt beslut (80-72, 79-73, 79-73) i en åtta Ligt weltervikt tävling.
Martin, en 2012 National Golden Gloves Champion, controlled much of the fight from the outside using his superior footwork to evade Gomez.
The Harvey, IL native Martin said, “I could see his punches coming from a mile away, but I should have followed up a little more than I did i kväll and let my hands go a bit more too.”
An owner of 340 amateur wins, Martin turned pro in 2013 and is yet to lose. That experience helped Martin keep his composure when Gomez taunted him repeatedly in the second round.
“We wanted to make Martin mad and get him to punch himself out if we could,” said the 29-year-old Gomez.
Martin responded to the talk of baiting saying, “I just stuck to my fundamentals, kept pumping my jab and setting him up for the next shot.
“I knew I hurt him with the uppercut. He walked right into it. And then when I threw the hook he couldn’t do anything,” säger Martin.
Following the bout Gomez said, “I plan to retire after i kväll. I care too much and fight too hard to be just another opponent.”
The second televised fight saw Raynell Williams (11-0, 5 Kos) win a unanimous decision (79-73, 79-73, 78-74) över Gabriel Tolmajyan (14-3-2, 3 Kos) in eight rounds of lightweight action.

“The only time he was able to catch me with anything was when I got a little lazy,” sade Williams.
Williams caught Tolmajyan with a big right hand in the fourth round, seemingly stunning Tolmajyan momentarily, but he kept his composure and didn’t allow himself to become overzealous.
“I was focused on boxing him and not so much worried about the knockout,” added Williams. “I knew I was winning the rounds.”
In the final frame, Tolmajyan, fighting out of Glendale, SÅSOM, caught Williams with a shot that nearly ended things.
Williams recalled, “It was an overhand left that he hit me with. And then he came after me again, but the ref and I made contact, so then the ref pushed me away because he didn’t want me to try holding on to him. But once I got my feet under me I was fine.”
Emellertid, Tolmajyan wasn’t impressed with Williams saying, “He wasn’t as good as we were expecting and I had him hurt with my left.
“I thought that I was winning the fight to be honest. I didn’t think I was going to lose the decision,” added Tolmajyan.
Williams concluded, “I hope to learn from my mistakes i kväll. I got caught with a good punch in the last few seconds i kväll, so I just need to work on consistency and fighting until the final bell.”

Further action features 25-year-old Philadelphia-native David Gonzales (6-0-2, 1 KO) battling Pittsburgh’s Justin Johnson (6-10-4) in a six-round super lightweight fight and New Jersey’s Välkommen Diaz (2-1, 2 Kos) against Philadelphia’s Joseph Serrano in a four-round lightweight contest.

In addition to his 2012 National Golden Gloves Championship, Martin won three Chicago Golden Gloves fighting out of nearby Harvey, Illinois. An owner of 340 amateur wins, Martin turned pro in 2013 and is yet to lose. The 26-year-old picked up four victories in 2015 and will begin 2016 against the 29-year-old Nicaraguan Gomez who will be making his U.S. debut.

Toronto (September 11, 2015) – Det har varit 30 år sedan ett VM titel kamp utkämpades i Toronto – och sprudlande folkmassan på Ricoh Coliseum välkomnade boxning tillbaka med intensiv action på de viktigaste TV-kortet i Premier Boxing Champions på Spike.

“Superman” Adonis Stevenson (26-1), ljus mästare tungvikt världen lade sin eftertraktade bälte på raden framför hans kolleger kanadensiska landsmän mot den skitiga amerikanska utmanaren Tommy Karpency (25-4-1). Försök att vara kryptonit till “Superman,” Karpency var ute-klassad av den starkare och snabbare Stevenson. I co-funktionen, Errol Spence Jr. (17-0) lade sin unblemished rekord på linjen i öppningen släng av huvudkortet mot den farliga sydafrikanska weltervikt Chris Van Heerden (23-1-1) rida en 9-kamp Winning Streak.

Spence, en 2012 Olympian, stoltserade hans värld- klassstamtavla genom att slå hans motståndare med brutala kroppsskott och en jättefläck som nästan stängde Van Heerden vänstra öga. Efter två knockdowns i 7: e omgången, Spence: s dominerande prestanda avbröts av en kastby av stansar som ledde domaren Alan Huggins att stoppa slagsmål på 50 sekunder av runda 8.

Spence kommer nu siktet inställt på att flytta upp på stegen i den begåvade weltervikt divisionen upptas av stora namn som Keith Thurman och Shawn Porter.

Den stigande stjärna, som hedrade offren för 9-11 på hans mantel, är hausse på hans framtid. “Det är bra att sätta en seger över en före detta världsmästare på mitt CV.”

Också kommer in i ringen är Ukranian Oleksandr Teslenko som gör sin pro debut mot 22-åriga ungerska Attila Pinter (5-2, 4 Kos) i en fyra-runda tungvikt affären och 24-åriga Michael Affainie (2-0, 2 Kos) ur Ontario, som är inställd på att möta 26-åriga Shane Upshaw (1-1-4, 1 KO) av Nova Scotia i en fyra-runda super weltervikt bout.
Som amatör, Colon var en femfaldig puertoricansk nationella mästare innan du startar proffs i 2013. Fighting ut ur Ontario, den spännande fightingspel Carman leder in i ringen som vill försvara den kanadensiska titel som han vann med en sjunde-runda stopp av Eric Martel Bahoeli i oktober 2014. Han följde upp det med en annan sena stopp seger, denna gång över Benito Quiroz mars. Den 29-årige står inför högsta profilen utmaningen av sin karriär när han kliver in i ringen med 51-åriga Ruddock. Slåss av Ontario i form av Jamaica, Ruddock har vunnit två gånger i 2015 sedan kommer ut från en 14-årig pension. Ruddock har varit i ringen med några av de bästa genom tiderna, två gånger inför Mike Tyson och även slåss Lennox Lewis i sina primtal.
Den 33-årige Cave har haft en framgångsrik karriär slåss av Nova Scotia, Kanada och ser att åter imponera fans av sitt hemland. Han går in i denna tävling på en tre-kamp vinna strimma, alla i 2015, med två slutar med stopp. Han går in i ringen mot 36-årige Paniagua som kämpar av Santa Fe, Argentina och kommer ut av en augusti seger över Diego Miguel Ramirez.
