BROOKLYN (December 15, 2016) — Top local talent from New York City will be on display on Saturday, January 14 as Polish heavyweight Adam Kownacki, Brooklyn-native Julian Sosa and Irish welterweight Noel Murphy all enter the ring in separate bouts at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
“In addition to the tremendous action that will be televised on SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING and SHOWTIME EXTREME on January 14, boxing fans in attendance at Barclays Center will be treated to an exciting undercard featuring up-and-coming local prospects,” said Lou DiBella, President of DiBella Entertainment. “Polish heavyweight Adam Kownacki, Irish welterweight Noel Murphy and Brooklynite Julian Sosa, who is of Mexican descent, will all put their undefeated records on the line. Mayweather Promotions will also deliver Kenny Robles, a decorated amateur from Staten Island, making his pro debut, as well as Puerto Rican former world title challenger Thomas Dulorme on the comeback.”

The unbeaten Kownacki (14-0, 11 KOs) will take on Joshua Tufte (19-1, 9 KOs) in an eight-round heavyweight fight while Sosa (6-0-1, 2 KOs) faces Gabriel Solario (2-2-1) in a six-round welterweight attraction and Murphy (7-0, 2 KOs) competes in a six-round welterweight bout.
Rounding out the action are a pair of recent additions to the Mayweather Promotions stable as former title challenger Thomas Dulorme (23-2, 15 KOs) enters the ring for an eight-round junior welterweight fight and Staten Island-native Kenny Robles makes his pro debut in a four-round welterweight battle.
A two-time New York Golden Gloves champion, four of Kownacki’s last five victories have come at the friendly confines of Barclays Center. Originally from Poland but now living in Brooklyn, Kownacki stopped Jesse Barboza in round three of their June fight the last time he entered the ring. The 27-year-old has won six times since the beginning of 2015 and faces one of his toughest opponents to date in the former kickboxing champion Tufte of Kernersville, North Carolina.
Trained by his father, former pro fighter and New York Golden Gloves champion Aureliano, Sosa has built a growing fan base fighting of the Flatbush Cops ‘N’ Kids gym in his hometown of Brooklyn. The 20-year-old is unbeaten since turning pro in March 2015 and has picked up three wins in 2016. He will be opposed by the 27-year-old Solario who fights out of Seattle and picked up a win over Drew Bokenshire in his last bout.
Originally from Cork, Ireland, Murphy has fought exclusively in the U.S. since turning pro in 2014 while fighting out of Woodlawn, NY. The 22-year-old earned his seventh pro victory in November when he won a dominant decision over Mohamed Allam in November. It was his second victory of the year and now he will make his second career start at Barclays Center looking to begin 2017 in style.

BROOKLYN (December 2, 2016) – Junior featherweight world champion and Brooklyn-native Amanda “The Real Deal” Serrano (30-1-1, 23 KOs) is set to battle former two-division world champion Yazmin Rivas (35-9-1, 10 KOs) in the first nationally televised women’s world title bout in nearly a decade on Saturday, January 14, live on SHOWTIME EXTREME from Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

 

NOTE: The last nationally televised female world title fight was Mary Jo Saunders vs. Valerie Mahfood on March 30, 2007 (ESPN2).

 

The SHOWTIME EXTREME telecast begins at 7 p.m. ET/PT and features Ievgen Khytrov (14-0, 12 KOs) battling Immanuwel Aleem(16-0-1, 9 KOs) in a 10-round matchup of undefeated rising contenders for the WBC Middleweight Silver belt.

 

The January 14 event features a SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING® doubleheader headlined by the super middleweight world championship unification showdown between Badou Jack and James DeGale.  Televised coverage on SHOWTIME® begins at 9:30 p.m. ET/6:30 p.m. PT with super featherweight world champion Jose Pedraza taking on undefeated contender Gervonta Davis.

 

Serrano, the WBO 122-pound titlist, and Rivas, the WBC International champion at super bantamweight, will fight for the WBO title and the prestigious WBC Diamond championship in a bout that promises intense action from start to finish. The addition of Serrano means that the card will feature Puerto Rico’s only two world champions, Serrano and Pedraza.

Raised in the Bushwick section of Brooklyn, Serrano gravitated toward boxing from watching her older sister Cindy, also a professional fighter. She picked the sport up quickly, amassing a 9-1 record during a brief amateur career in which she won the New York Golden Gloves title in 2008. The 27-year-old would go on to fight all over the world, seizing her first world title in 2011 when she defeated Kimberly Connor to grab a super featherweight belt. In 2014, she went to Argentina and defeated Maria Elena Maderna to become a world champion at lightweight. Her world title climb continued in February when she stopped Olivia Gerula in the first round to capture her featherweight championship. She made her Barclays Center debut in July with a first-round stoppage of Calixta Silgado before earning another victory in the first round when she stopped Alexandra Lazar to pick up a vacant junior featherweight world title.

 

A 28-year-old out of Torreon, Mexico, Rivas picked up her WBC International title in her last bout, a decision victory over Jessica Gonzalez. Rivas had previously successfully defended her bantamweight world title four times after winning the belt against Alesia Graf in 2014. Her prior run as a bantamweight champion lasted for five defenses after she defeated previously unbeaten Susie Ramadan to win that belt. These extended championship runs came after she became a flyweight world champion in 2005 by defeating Lucia Avalos.

 

An Olympian who represented his native Ukraine, Khytrov also won an Amateur World Championship before turning pro in 2013. Since then, the 28-year-old has dominated on his way to stopping contenders Josh Luteran and Nick Brinson and previously unbeaten fighters Maurice Louishomme and Aaron Coley. Khytrov, who trains out of Brooklyn, won an entertaining ninth-round knockout over Paul Mendez in his last start this past July. Khytrov has fought three times previously on ShoBox: The New Generation.

 

Born in East Meadow, New York and fighting out of Richmond, Virginia, Aleem was introduced to boxing at a young age by his parents. Since turning pro in 2012 at age 18, the 23-year-old has wiped out all of the competition in front of him. In 2015, he dominated Emmanuel Sanchez, David Toribio, Oscar Riojas and Carlos Galvan before defeating once-beaten Jonathan Cepeda in April. In his last bout, he boxed a draw with once-beaten prospect Demond Nicholson. He will look to take advantage of another big opportunity on January 14.

BETHLEHEM, PA. (April 20, 2016) – Ivan Redkach (19-1-1, 15 KOs) and Luis Cruz (22-4-1, 16 KOs) fought to a split draw and both scored knockdowns Tuesday night in an exciting main event on Premier Boxing Champions (PBC)TOE-TO-TOE TUESDAYS on FS1 and BOXEO DE CAMPEONES on FOX Deportes from Sands Bethlehem Events Center in Bethlehem, Pa.
In early action, Cruz began to establish his straight right hand when he knocked Redkach off balance and sent him to the canvas in round two. The Puerto Rican veteran controlled much of the early rounds with that right hand, great movement and overall boxing ability.
Redkach was aggressive throughout, throwing 602 punches over the 10-round bout to Cruz’s 485. However, Cruz’s 33 percent connect rate was good enough for him to dominate the first half of the fight.
The 2008 Ukranian Olympian began to find a landing zone for his big left hand as the fight wore on and late in round eight he landed one cleanly on Cruz that dropped him hard. Redkach was then awarded a controversial knockdown in an explosive ninth round when Cruz fell to the mat on what he said was a slip as a result of a push.
Both men emptied the tank in the final round knowing that one punch could change the outcome of the fight and ended with several flurries. The scores after 10 rounds were razor thin at 94-93 for Redkach, 94-93 Cruz and 94-94, resulting in the split draw.
The co-main event of the evening featured a fast pace brawl that saw unbeaten prospect Immanuwel Aleem (16-0, 9 KOs) earn a hard fought victory over Jonathan Cepeda (17-2, 15 KOs) in their eight-round middleweight contest.
Aleem and Cepeda traded power punches all fight long, with Cepeda taking the brunt of the punishment as he was out landed 272 to 107. Aleem was superior in all regards as he also landed an impressive 42 percent of his total punches.
Cepeda refused to surrender however and used a powerful right hook to occasionally stun Aleem. The still unbeaten prospect was always able to return any punishment and then some, winning by the score of 79-73 on all three judges’ scorecards.
In the televised opener unbeaten middleweight prospects collided as Junior Castillo (10-0, 9 KOs) earned a unanimous decision over Kyrone Davis (10-1, 4 KOs) in a competitive eight-round affair.
The Delaware-native Davis was impressive early with his movement and boxing abilities but the southpaw Castillo was soon able to time his opponent and land left hands to the head and body.
In the fourth round, Castillo hurt and dropped Davis in the middle of the round with a left hand after an exchange. Neither man allowed the other to gain too much momentum throughout the remainder of the fight, but it was Castillo’s output advantage of 117-92 that bettered Davis’ accuracy advantage of 36 percent to 30 percent.
Castillo won the decision by scores of 78-73, 77-74 and 76-75.

IVAN REDKACH
“I think I won, but it was a good fight.
“The knockdown I suffered was me losing my balance. I felt I controlled the fight because I knocked him down twice. I thought I could have stopped him after the first knockdown.
“I am not going to argue with the decision but I feel I won the fight.”
LUIS CRUZ
“I thought the last knockdown was a slip. That was the difference between the draw and my win.
“I hurt him. I had the power. I tried to work round-by-round. I feel that I won six rounds and that the knockdown cost me the win.
“I thought I fought well. The draw was better than a loss. Why not a rematch? He is strong and dangerous. He hits hard but I know I am better than him.”
IMMANUWEL ALEEM
“He was a tough guy. I hit him with some good shots but he kept his ground. I respect that.
“I was trying to take my time to get him out. I was being hasty. I was trying to get him every chance I got but he was tough. I am a student of the game and I was taking my time.
“My manager George Peterson has a resume of building up Paul Williams and I trust what he has in store for me. He knows what I am capable of doing. We will go after everybody, just like Paul did.”
JUNIOR CASTILLO
“It was a very good fight. I had some difficulty at first but I felt confident that I would be victorious.
“I kept consistent with my game plan and I was able to knock him down. I thought I would be able to finish him but I got too wild.
“It feels good to defeat an undefeated prospect and also go the distance. I have never gone the distance before.
“I want some kind of title fight. My confidence is much higher right.”
KYRONE DAVIS
“I felt like it was a good fight. I feel like I won. I thought the crowd swayed the judges. I felt like I won but that’s how it goes sometimes.
“78-73 was too wide. I controlled the first two rounds. He crossed over and hit me with a good shot. He may have won the knockdown round and the last round.
“If he gives me a rematch, I would love it. This is just a minor setback. I will improve after this fight and I will move forward.”

Further action will feature a pair of Pennsylvania prospects in their pro debuts as Harrisburg’s Dustin Pague takes on Philadelphia’s Rafael Davis in a four-round welterweight fight, super welterweight Nicholas Hernandez (3-1, 1 KO) in a six-round bout against Newark’s Jamil Gadsden (0-6), Philadelphia’s Emmanuel Folly (6-0, 4 KOs) in four-rounds of lightweight action and St. Louis-native Vincent Cruz (9-0, 6 KOs) in eight rounds of super lightweight action against Allentown’s Jerome Rodriguez (7-3-3, 2 KOs).
At just 21-years-old, the rising prospect kept busy in 2015 as he picked up five victories including his last out in Bethlehem where he defeated previously unbeaten Joshua Greer. The Philadelphia-product will look to open his 2016 with a victory over the unbeaten Zorilla out of Bayamon, Puerto Rico.
The 28-year-old De Alba had a 19 fight unbeaten streak snapped in his last outing in which he dropped a narrow majority decision to unbeaten Omar Douglas. Originally from Bayamon, Puerto Rico but now fighting out of nearby Reading, Pennsylvania, he’ll battle the 24-year-old Perales out of Nuevo Leon, Mexico.

The 30-year-old owns victories over Tony Luis, Sergey Gulyakevich, Yakubu Amidu and most recently knocked out Erick Daniel Martinez in October.
Fighting out of Las Piedras, Puerto Rico, Cruz is coming off of a decision victory over Roberto Acevedo in November. He owns victories over Martin Honorio, Hevinson Herrera and Yogli Herrera in a career that dates back to 2007.

He won two Florida Golden Gloves titles and reached a National Golden Gloves semifinal. Cepeda has won five fights in a row including two stoppage victories in 2015.
The first Delaware-native to win multiple national amateur championships, Davis was a National PAL winner along with his victory at the national Adidas tournament. A fighter since he was eight-years-old, Davis turned pro in 2014 and has dominated his competition including five victories in 2015.
The 29-year-old Castillo made his U.S. debut in December 2015 with a first round knockout of Rolando Nagy and followed it up later that month by stopping Eduardo Flores. Fighting out of Higuey, Dominican Republic, he represented his home country in the 2012 Olympics.

TRENTON, NJ (December 9, 2015) – Yenifel “Lightning” Vicente (28-3-2, 20 KOs) defeated Juan Dominguez (19-1, 13 KOs) by knockout just :20 into the third round ofPremier Boxing Champions (PBC) TOE-TO-TOE TUESDAYS on FS1 and BOXEO DE CAMPEONES on FOX Deportes main event from Sun National Bank Center in Trenton, New Jersey.
Vicente opened up the bout landing big shots that rocked Dominguez early. Vicente continued applying pressure throughout the first frame, but Dominguez came back strong.
The early portion of the second round featured repeated left hooks from Vicente. A frustrated Dominguez landed a low blow in the middle of the second round, forcing Vicente to take a knee. Dominguez went low again and referee Earl Brown deducted a point from Dominguez for repeated low blows. The second round came to a close with Dominguez throwing booming lefts, but finding little luck landing.
Vicente started off the third round with a huge right uppercut to the body, followed by an overhand right to the head of Dominguez and ended the bout just :20 seconds into round three.
Dominguez exited the ring on a stretcher, but was responsive to medical staff and moved his extremities while being carried to the ambulance. Dominguez was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center for further precautionary evaluation over night.
The opening televised fight of the evening featured unbeaten cruiserweight Keith “Machine Gun” Tapia (17-0, 11 KOs) getting a unanimous decision (97-93, 99-91, 99-91) victory over Garrett Wilson (16-10-1, 9 KOs) in 10 rounds of hard-hitting action.
After an evenly contested opening round, the second and third rounds saw exchanges that had each fighter stunned and retreating at times. Overhand rights from both pugilists became a factor in the third.
Wilson threw a big right hook followed by uppercut in fourth that seemingly stunned Tapia again. The two bruisers spent the second half of the fourth exchanging in the center of ring with repeated uppercuts landed by both.
Following the tireless work from both fighting on the inside to close out the fourth, Wilson got off two big left hooks in the fifth, and appeared to take control of the fight, even if only for a moment.
It was Tapia’s night though, regaining himself and fighting back with repeated lefts of his own and delivering an overhand right down the middle.
By the middle of the sixth, Tapia was landing huge lefts and combinations that seemed to help grow his confidence by the moment.
Rounds seven, eight and nine saw Tapia distance himself, coolly slipping Wilson’s biggest shots, while consistently landing enough of his own and tiring Wilson out.
Tapia and Wilson closed out the fight with a flurry, but it was too little too late for Wilson as Tapia cruised to the unanimous decision.
The second televised bout showcased undefeated rising middleweight prospectImmanuel Aleem (15-0, 9 KOs) earning a split decision (78-74,75-77, 77-75) overCarlos Galvan (11-4-1, 10 KOs) in an eight round bout.
Both Aleem and Galvan came out aggressive in round one with crowd-pleasing exchanges, but Galvan appeared to have gotten the better of the action, landing an uppercut at the bell.
Following an action-packed second round, Aleem landed a big right hook in the third that stunned and almost dropped Galvan to the canvas, but Aleem wasn’t able to close.
Aleem came out fast in rounds four and five, looking to finish what he couldn’t in the third, but the knockout didn’t come. Eventually Aleem setted in and started setting up behind his jab as the technical side of his game took over.
Aleem, who knocked out each of his last seven opponents entering Tuesday, started looking to do the same again in round seven. Galvan fought back, but Aleem’s triple combinations proved too much as Aleem landed another flurry to close out the round.
The second minute of the final round saw exchanges that had the crowd in awe, but Aleem landed several big rights to close out the win.
In untelevised undercard action, former world champion “Bad” Chad Dawson (33-4, 18 KOs) returned to the ring after a 14-month layoff to defeat Shujaa El Amin (12-9, 6 KOs) by unanimous decision (100-90, 100-90, 100-90) in a 10-round light heavyweight bout.

YENIFEL VICENTE
“The punches that ended it were part of a combination that we’d been working on in camp, a lower shot to the body followed by an overhand right.
“I was elated initially when I got the knockdown, but then I immediately felt sorrow when I saw that my fellow countryman was actually seriously hurt.
“I’m trying to stay positive. I hope that this fight shows that I can’t be beaten at 122 lbs. I’m just ready for bigger and better fights.
“My thoughts and prayers are with Juan and his family.”
IMMANUEL ALEEM
“I went in there tonight to break him down and then lay him down. If I had one more round I would have ended it.
“He wasn’t any tougher than I thought he’d be, we just didn’t execute everything the way I wanted to.
“I’m grateful to have gotten this experience tonight fighting on PBC on FS1. It was a great experience and now it’s on to whatever’s next. Thanks to all the fans for watching!”

“I feel good right now. I felt victorious. (Aleem) hits hard, but I thought I fought a superior fight.

“This was a tough fight. I took it on short notice, and we both fought like a couple of warriors in there tonight.
“I thought for sure I was going to be able to land something on his chin or to his body and get him out of there, but he was tough.”

“This was my first fight in 14 months and I got 10 rounds in the bag. There are some things I want to go back to the drawing board and work on, but I feel good after tonight.
“I thought I fought a good fight tonight, but not great. I’d give myself a B minus. I’ll take two or three months and then I hope to be back.”

A former world champion at light heavyweight, Dawson returns to the ring looking for the 33rd victory of his successful career. The 33-year-old owns victories over former world champions Bernard Hopkins, Antonio Tarver and Tomasz Ademek. Fighting out of New Haven, Connecticut, he will take on the 28-year-old El Amin out of Flint, Michigan.
An accomplished amateur out of Chicago, Martin was a 2012 U.S. Olympic alternate and 2012 National Golden Gloves champion. The 26-year-old turned pro in 2013 and is undefeated in his first 10 pro fights. In 2015 he’s taking home victories over Jeremiah Wiggins, Jonathan Garcia and Kevin Womack Jr. He will be opposed by the 25-year-old Rodriguez out of Haymarket, Virginia.
Fighting out of nearby Marlboro, New Jersey, Doughlin enters his December 8 fight looking for three-straight victories after defeating Cameron Allen and Marcos Primera in 2015. The 27-year-old owns victories over Steve Martinez and Phillip McCants and has shared the ring with top fighters such as Jermell Charlo and George Groves. He takes on the 34-year-old Ayala. Representing New Haven, Connecticut, Ayala owns victories over Ronald Gavril and Derrick Findley and fought to a draw with former world champion Sergio Mora.

Born in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic but fighting out of Brooklyn, Dominguez looks to finish out 2015 with his undefeated record intact and 20 pro wins to his name. This would mark three straight wins in 2015 after he defeated Carlos Rodriguez in February and Mario Macia in May. Prior to 2015, the 29-year-old has picked up victories over German Meraz, Camilo Perez and Jhon Alberto Molina.
The 29-year-old Vicente enters his December 8 bout with two straight victories after knocking out Reynaldo Villamizar and Manuel de los Reyes Herrera. He was undefeated in 26 professional fights before making his U.S. debut in 2012. Born in the Dominican Republic but fighting out of Miami, Vicente will surely be the stiffest challenge yet for the unbeaten Dominguez.
An undefeated prospect out of Santurce, Puerto Rico, Tapia is quickly rising to contender status in the cruiserweight division. Tapia turned pro in 2011 and made his U.S. debut with a first round knockout over Rafael Valenzuela. The 25-year-old has had a busy 2015, picking up four victories inside of the distance including his most recent triumph, a first-round stoppage of Anthony Caputo Smith. He will be opposed by the 33-year-old Wilson out of Philadelphia who enters this fight on a three-bout win streak.
An undefeated prospect out of East Meadow, New York but fighting out of Richmond, Virginia, Aleem comes off of a dominant victory over Oscar Riojas in September. The 22-year-old has racked up three victories in 2015 and will look to end the year in style when he takes on the 24-year-old Galvan.

ADONIS “SUPERMAN” STEVENSON PUMMELS TOMMY KARPENCY TO RETAIN LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT CROWN
Toronto (September 11, 2015) – It’s been 30 years since a world championship title fight was fought in Toronto – and the exuberant crowd at Ricoh Coliseum welcomed boxing back with hard-hitting action on the main televised card of the Premier Boxing Champions on Spike.

“Superman” Adonis Stevenson (26-1), the light heavyweight world champion put his coveted belt on the line in front of his fellow Canadian countrymen against the gritty American challenger Tommy Karpency (25-4-1). Attempting to be kryptonite to “Superman,” Karpency was out-classed by the stronger and quicker Stevenson. In the first round, Stevenson began his onslaught with a big left that buckled Karpency’s legs. A straight left hand at the end of round 2 knocked Karpency to his knees. With a boisterous partisan crowd behind him, Stevenson finished Karpency off with a devastating TKO at 21 seconds of round 3.

A jubilant Stevenson chanted “Oh Canada!!” before calling out champ Sergei Kovalev. “C’mon Kovalev – it’s time to fight for the unified title.”

In the co-feature, Errol Spence Jr. (17-0) put his unblemished record on the line in the opening bout of the main card against the dangerous South African welterweight Chris Van Heerden (23-1-1) riding an 9-fight winning streak.

Spence, a 2012 Olympian, showed off his world- class pedigree by pounding his opponent with brutal body shots and a flurry of jabs that nearly closed Van Heerden’s left eye. After two knockdowns in the 7th round, Spence’s dominating performance was punctuated by a flurry of punches that led referee Alan Huggins to stop the fight at 50 seconds of round 8.

Spence will now set his sights on moving up the ladder in the talented welterweight division occupied by big names such as Keith Thurman and Shawn Porter.

When asked in the ring what is next for him he responded “I want to fight anyone in the top 10- I think I deserve it.”

Also on the televised card, former light welterweight champ “Vicious” Vivien Harris (32-10-2) from Brooklyn, NY battled undefeated prospect Prichard Colon (15-0) of Puerto Rico. Colon showed off his power as he dominated his veteran opponent – ending the bout at 1:03 in the 4th round with a punishing knockout. The rising star, who honored the victims of 9-11 on his robe, is bullish on his future.  “It’s great to put a win over a former world champion on my resume.”

The September 11 Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) on Spike headliningfight features light heavyweight world champion Adonis “Superman” Stevenson (26-1, 21 KOs) as he defends against Tommy “Kryptonite” Karpency(25-4-1, 14 KOs) plus 2012 U.S. Olympian and undefeated rising welterweight star Errol “The Truth” Spence Jr. (17-0, 14 KOs) battling slick-southpaw Chris “The Heat” van Heerden (23-1-1, 12 KOs) in the televised opener at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
Also featured are undefeated prospects Immanuwel “The Chosen One” Aleem (13-0, 9 KOs) and Jamontay “Quiet Assassin” Clark (6-0, 3 KOs).

Rounding out the night of fights is 27-year-old Canadian Olympian Custio Clayton (4-0, 3 KOs) facing 31-year-old Davide Doria (12-0-1, 4 KOs) out of Bayern, Germany in a six-round super welterweight bout, 34-year-old Toronto native Sandy “Lil’ Tyson” Tsagouris against 32-year-old Australian Shannon “Shotgun” O’Connell (11-3, 6 KOs) in a six-round featherweight attraction.
Also entering the ring is Ukranian Oleksandr Teslenko who makes his pro debut against 22-year-old Hungarian Attila Pinter (5-2, 4 KOs) in a four-round heavyweight affair and 24-year-old Michael Affainie (2-0, 2 KOs) out of Ontario, who is set to face 26-year-old Shane Upshaw (1-1-4, 1 KO) of Nova Scotia in a four-round super welterweight bout.
As an amateur, Colon was a five-time Puerto Rican national champion prior to turning pro in 2013. Trained by his father, Colon has been stylistically compared to fellow countryman Felix Trinidad, with all but one of his knockouts coming in five rounds or less. The 22-year-old scored a spectacular knockout in his last fight over tough veteran Michael Finney and will look to keep his momentum going into September 11 when he takes on the 37-year-old former champion Harris who fights out of Brooklyn by way of Guyana.
Born in East Meadow, New Jersey but fighting out of Richmond, Virginia, Aleem was introduced to boxing from a young age by his parents. Since turning pro in 2012 at age 18, the 21-year-old has wiped out all of the competition in front of him. In his last start, he faced his most experienced opponent and was able to deliver a first round stoppage in the bout against David Toribio.
Another talented young fighter to come out of Cincinnati in recent years, Clark cites Aaron Pryor as one of his boxing idols. The slick 20-year-old recently completed his first six-round bout with a unanimous decision over Jonathan Garcia in May. He returns on September 11 looking to make it a perfect seven victories in seven starts to begin his pro career.
An accomplished amateur from Romania, Dan fights out of Montreal and hopes to start his climb towards a second world title opportunity in front of his adopted hometown fans on September 11. The 34-year-old owns two victories over Canadian rival Kevin Bizier plus triumphs over Steve Forbes and Damian Frias. He will be opposed by the 30-year-old Giuriceo out of Youngstown, Ohio who was undefeated in his first 17 pro fights.
Fighting out out of Ontario, the exciting brawler Carman heads into the ring looking to defend the Canadian title that he won with a seventh-round stoppage of Eric Martel Bahoeli in October 2014. He followed that up with another late stoppage victory, this time over Benito Quiroz in March. The 29-year-old faces the highest profile challenge of his career when he steps into the ring with the 51-year-old Ruddock. Fighting out of Ontario by way of Jamaica, Ruddock has won twice in 2015 since coming out of a 14-year retirement. Ruddock has been in the ring with some of the best of all time, twice facing Mike Tyson and also battling Lennox Lewis in their primes.
The 33-year-old Cave has had a successful career fighting out of Nova Scotia, Canada and looks to again impress the fans of his home country. He enters this contest on a three-fight win streak, all in 2015, with two ending by stoppage. He enters the ring against the 36-year-old Paniagua who fights out of Santa Fe, Argentina and is coming off of an August victory over Diego Miguel Ramirez.
