סאַן אַנטאָניאָ (מייַ 29, 2016) – ערשטע וועלט מייַסטער מיגועל “טיטערע” וואַסקעז (36-5, 13 קאָס) defeated Ecuador’s עריק ביין (16-4, 8 קאָס) in a 10-round battle that headlined פּרעמיער באָקסינג טשאַמפּיאָנס אויף פס1 און פוקס ספורט שבת night from the Dancehall in San Antonio.
The former champion from Mexico worked behind a strong jab and brought the fight to Bone throughout the main event. Bone was able to return fire and was effective at times when countering.
The jab of Vazquez eventually led to success with the right hand that was able to hurt his opponent and keep the battle-tested Bone from building momentum.
Both fighters landed at a nearly identical rate as Vazquez connected on 22 percent of his punches while Bone landed 21 פּראָצענט. אָבער, it was Vazquez with the advantage in punches landed at 94 צו 74.
The fight featured many close rounds, which was reflected by the varied scores of the judges. אין די סוף, all three had the fight for Vazquez by scores of 99-91, 97-93 און 96-94.
אין די גלויבנס-הויפּט געשעעניש, rising featherweight מיגועל Flores (20-0, 9 קאָס) kept his record perfect as he defeated Mexican veteran רובען טאַמייַאָ (26-9-4, 18 קאָס) in their 10-round bout.
Facing a southpaw for the first time as a professional, Flores had some trouble early with the game Tamayo who was able to penetrate the defense of the 23-year-old with left hands while also opening a cut with an accidental head butt in round two.
As the fight went on Flores showed improved movement and a variety of effective punches that allowed him to take control of the fight. Most notably, Flores used a bruising left hook to the body that left Tamayo marked up and slowed down his offense.
Both fighters threw over 550 punches but it was Flores who out landed his opponent 175-121. The judges rewarded the still undefeated fighter with the unanimous decision by scores of 100-90 און 98-92 צוויי מאָל.
Here is what the main event fighters had to say שבת:
MIGUEL וואַזקוועז
I wanted to throw the heavier punches because I thought I could win by knockout, but that didn’t happen. There was an overhand right in the eighth round that I thought hurt him badly.
He was an elusive fighter and survived, so there are still things that I have to work on.
There was some difficulty adjusting to the late opponent switch, but overall, קיין פּראָבלעם. I had been sparring southpaws as well as right-handers.
If I could have followed up on some of the hooks and overhand rights, I could have gotten him out of there.
I’ve always wanted to fight Adrien Broner. I want to make that.
עריק ביין
Vazquez was awkward and hard to fight. I gave it my all in there.
I’m thankful for the opportunity and I’m looking forward to getting back in the gym and working on some things before I return to the ring.

Lipinets struck gold in the fifth, dropping Ghvamichava with a brutal left hand to the body resulting in a knockout victory at the 1:40 mark of the round. סקאָרעס אין דער צייַט פון די סטאַפּידזש זענען 39-37 און 38-38 twice for the scheduled ten-rounder.
About the win, Lipinets said, “I’m really happy with the victory. We worked hard on that shot with my trainer. We knew we could wait and use that right hand at the right time and take it straight to the body.
He’s a very strong, physical opponent. It was a real challenge to get him to where I wanted him. I wanted to get inside and use my speed. It was hard in the beginning to pick him apart, but we were able to get into a rhythm.
I want to keep going up from here. I think I proved myself הייַנט בייַ נאַכט that I belong at this level.
Said a disappointed Ghvamichava, “Things were going according to my game plan. I ended up getting caught with a shot. I recovered and then he threw that big body shot and it sucked the life out of me.
The rounds were competitive, but I felt like I was winning. I knew I had to keep my jab on him to keep him at bay. I knew he had a strong right hand, but he started to back up and I had never seen him do that so it threw me off.
You don’t expect to be knocked out. We were letting the fight come to me and I thought I was going to be able to stun him, but he has explosive power. I should have been more cautious. I am going to learn from this experience.
Co-featured on the telecast Ukrainian סערגיי דערעוויאַנטשענקאָ, (8-0 6קאָ ס), now fighting out of Brooklyn, ניו יארק, impressed with with an eighth-round knockout of thetough-as-nails Mike Guy, (8-2-1 4קאָ ס).
Fighting evenly over the first half of the scheduled eight rounder, Derevyanchenko found his range in the second half utilizing massive left hooks to the body to slow down the Sacramento, California native.
Sensing a finish in the final round, Derevyanchenko drilled Guy to the canvas at the midway point of the stanza and again shortly thereafter. Although Guy beat the count, the ensuing flurry from Derevyanchenko caused a halt to the bout by referee Michael Margado at the 2:24 צייכן.
סקאָרעס אין דער צייַט פון די סטאַפּידזש זענען 70-63 און 69-64 צוויי מאָל.
Stated Derevyanchenko, “I wasn’t surprised he was so tough. I’ve never seen any of his fights, but I didn’t think it was going to be an easy fight.
His style was awkward. It was hard to tell where his punches were going to come from.
I didn’t pick a specific round that I wanted to knock him out. I just finally picked him apart in the sixth round and then again in the eighth.
In the opening bout of the Premier Boxing Champions onFOX and FOX Deportes”, ונדעפעאַטעד וועלטערוועיגהט, Kevin Watts of nearby Lancaster, קאַליפאָרניאַ, ימפּרוווד צו 11-0 with four knockouts with a dominant fifth round stoppage of Michael Chudecki, (11-3-1 3קאָ ס), of Pozman, פוילן.
Using his superior skills and hand speed, Watts built an early lead sweeping the first four rounds while displaying his full array of punches.
Dropping the valiant Pole early in the fifth stanza, Watts was awarded the stoppage victory as referee Edward Collantes called a halt at the 2:01 צייכן. Scores at the time of the finish were 39-37 on all three judge’s scorecards.
Said the victorious Watts, “איך בין אַזוי צופרידן, but I knew I was going to get that win. I train too hard to lose. All I think about is winning. I’ve got too many people rooting for me to fail.
I knew I was going to get the KO, but I was happy it was in the fifth round. I actually thought he was going to make it to the sixth because I didn’t think I hurt him as bad as I did in the fourth.
When he went down, I knew it wasn’t a slip. Usually when a drop is ruled a slip, you know it, but that was definitely a knock down. He could barely get back up and after that he just kept backing up and backing up and I took advantage of that.
Not sure what is exactly next, but I do know I’ll be ready.

(98-92, 100-90, 100-90) in a 10-round contest on the פּרעמיער באָקסינג טשאַמפּיאָנס (פּבק) פינגער פונ פוס-צו-טאָו טועסדייַס אויף פס1 און באָקסינג טשאַמפּיאָנשיפּ אויף פוקס ספורט קאַמף קאָרט דינסטיק night from the Dancehall in San Antonio.
Flores opened up the bout establishing the left to the body of Briones. Fighting אויס פון האָוסטאָן, טקס, Flores controlled much of the action in the first, but Briones used his experience and had a nice exchange with Flores to close out the round.
Briones charged back hard in the second though, landing a left in the opening minute of the round that seemingly shocked Flores. Flores threw punches furiously trying to push Briones back and maybe even end it early.
Flores used much of the third and fourth to settle in and land heavy lefts to the body, clearly establishing himself as the stronger fighter. During the action, Briones suffered a cut that opened up over the left eye.
Briones, making his U.S. דעבוט, was the victim of a low blow early in the fifth and took a few moments to regain himself. As the fighters continued, Brionescut opened more.
פלאָווערס, who was also showing signs of a small cut over his left eye, opened the round controlling the action in the sixth. אָבער, Briones showed no quit and fought back to regain his confidence and advance to another frame.
The seventh round saw both fightersleft eyes gush blood as the pair threw shots furiously, hoping to end the contest. Flores was hit below the belt, but both fighters showed tremendous will as they survived to extend the fight. The eighth went on as Flores and Briones exchanged toe-to-toe blows in the center of the ring.
Briones, who appeared to control the pace and distance for much of the ninth, had lots of success landing on the inside. But as the round came to a close Flores fought back refusing to be denied.
Flores opened up the tenth landing a determined double left to the body. די פייטערז’ heads collided shortly after the start of the round, causing both to take pause. Briones seemed the more seriously hurt of the two after the incidental head butt, but both elected to continue, taking the fight the distance.
The opening televised bout featured undefeated light heavyweight prospect אַהמעד עלביאַלי (14-0, 11 קאָס) winning an eight-round unanimous decision (78-74, 77-75, 77-75) איבער אנדריי הערנאַנדעז (10-4-1, 2 קאָס).
After finding their distance, both landed heavy blows in the first. Elbiali managed to connect on a big left hook as the opening frame came to a close.
הערנאַנדעז, coming off just two weeks of rest, looked sharp in the second round, landing his right repeatedly. But Elbiali came right back back with another left hook.
In the third, Hernandez controlled much of the round from the outside, backing up Elbiali with the jab to set up combinations. Hernandez landed a shot that seemingly stunned Elbiali and then followed with a flurry to close out the round.
Hernandez carried his momentum over into the fourth and used his experience to make things difficult for Elbiali. Elbiali stalked Harnandez, hoping that the big shot would connect, but failing to land on the big one. As the round came to a close, Elbiali ate another big right hand.
עלביאַלי, a native of Cairo, Egypt, came out aggressive in the fifth and then stunned Hernandez early in the sixth. Elbiali landed a flurry of punches before Hernandez was able to gather himself and continue. עלביאַלי, knowing he had Hernandez close, tried to end the fight, but Hernandez survived the punishment.
Both fighters showed signs of tiring as the seventh round wore on, and Hernandez seemed to let a fight that was well within his grasp slip away. More of the same continued in the final round of the bout as Elbiali showed his skill and confidence. Hernandez reminded Elbiali that they were still in a fight, landing a one-two with :30 לינקס, but Elbiali proved too much for Hernandez.
The second televised bout showcased undefeated welterweight בריאַנט פּעררעללאַ (13-0, 12 קאָס) getting a technical knockout win over Ramon Ayala (23-6-1, 11 קאָס) נאָר :10 in to the third round.
Perrella was able to stun Ayala early and continued to use his left to back Ayala down. Perrella kept his distance in the first, staying calm and balanced. A frustrated Ayala retaliated landing a couple of blows after the bell.
The second round saw Perrella control the action, breaking Ayala down and getting the better of the exchanges while landing combinations throughout.
Ultimately the barrage of punches early on was too much for Ayala who retired between rounds before the start of the third.
Below is what the televised fighters had to say about their performances tonight:
MIGUEL FLORES
The game plan was to box. In the middle rounds I fell asleep and fought a little too much on the inside, but we got the win tonight.
My speed and my youth helped me get the victory tonight. My footwork was also very important in getting the win.
The the only thing that frustrated me was I couldn’t knock him out. I thought I was going to get him out of there, but it was a great learning experience for me.
Tons of people just saw who I am and how I fight. I want to thank PBC and FS1 & FOX Deportes for allowing me this opportunity to make a name for myself and help grow our sport.
I don’t want to call anyone out, but I’m going be back to work soon. The featherweight division is going to mine, and by the time I get my shot at a title I’m going to be ready for the best.
AHMED ELBIALI
Things never go like we anticipate. My plan was to feel him out a bit more, but I hurt my hand in the first round. I don’t want to make any excuses, but I was hoping to be able to box him a little more.
My biggest advantage tonight was my size, youth and power. He had the experience though, and he looked decent in spots.
He was a smart veteran. He clinched a lot and did some things that crafty veterans know how to do.
Fighting on a PBC card boosts my profile and is great for my career. I’m looking forward to my next PBC fight card.
I really just want and need to improve with every fight. That’s all I can worry about. I’ve got to get this hand feeling better, but then work on making the adjustments to be better next time out.
ANDREW HERNANDEZ
I planned on stopping him. He’s a much bigger guy. I’m a natural middleweight, but it was a great chance to fight a quality fighter.
I felt like I could have stepped on the gas a bit more, worked more on the inside. We also know that he’s a dangerous guy though, so you have to be careful.

I thought that I did enough to win, but obviously the judges didn’t agree with me. I think the fans who watched think that I won, but I’ll be back.

BRYANT PERRELLA
I really wanted to just go in there and flow tonight, not rush to knockout. I was hoping to establish my jab and win round by round.
The work and training that I put in got me here and helped me get the win tonight. I eat, sleep and breathe boxing. My strength, power and speed helped me a lot tonight.
He jumped in and hit me a few times with his head, so that made me a little hesitant to get in there on the inside.
Being able to fight on a BPC card is a blessing. Being able to do what I love to do, this is just a dream come true fighting on FS1 & פוקס ספורט.
I’d love to face some of the guys that I had strong fights with in the amateurs, עראַל ספּענסע דזשוניער. being one of them. We have some unfinished business that we’ll have to take care of in the future.
