FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Bethlehem, PA (November 17,  2017) – Frank De Alba is ready to close out 2017 with a bang when he takes on Ivan Najera (17-3, 8 KOs) in the ten-round super featherwight bout Tuesday night. November 21st at The Sands Bethlehem Event Center inBethlehem, PA.

The show is promoted by King’s Promotions.
De Alba of Reading, Pa. has a record of 22-2 with nine knockouts.
The 30 year-old De Alba will be looking for his 6th consecutive victory as he has had a terrific year with wins over German Meraz and Ryan Kielczewski (26-2) in 2017.
“Everything is good.  I put in a hard eight-week camp,” Said De Alba.
De Alba and Najera were originally supposed to get together earlier this year, but Najera had to pull out.
“I am excited to be able to finally get in the ring with him.  We were supposed to fight in June.  He pulled out at the last minute and that made me angry, because I trained hard for a full camp, but now I finally get my opportunity to fight him.”
A win over Najera and a 6th straight win will De Alba should facilitate big opportunities for De Alba in 2018.
“A win over him will have me on top and on my way.  It will set me up for a big opportunity in 2018.  Hopefully a win will get me a shot at one of those major regional titles and then eventually a world title.  I just hope everyone comes out and support this show on Tuesday.  Everyone knows when a Puerto Rican fighter and a Mexican fighter get together, the fight usually produces fireworks and Tuesday night should be  no different.”
In the eight-round co-feature, undefeated Mykal Fox (14-0, 4 KOs) of Forestville, MD takes on Manuel Reyes (11-3-1, 5 KOs) of Los Angeles in a junior welterweight bout.

Roy Jones – Bobby Gunn Press Conference quotes

“Skill vs. Will”

LIVE ON PAY-PER-VIEW–FRIDAY FEBRUARY 17TH
Wilmington, DE (February 16, 2017)Below are quotes from Wednesday’s press conference in advance of Friday night’s “Skill vs. Will” Pay-Per-View showdown between Roy, Jones, Jr. and Bobby Gunn.
Roy Jones Jr.
On Bobby Gunn as an opponent:
“The thing I stand for and respect and represent – I love a person who won’t quit, and [Bobby Gunn] won’t quit for nothing. He has 72 wins with 72 knockouts – bare-knuckle – you’re really a professional bully! You just beat people up for the hell of it… It’s what I love. People ask why I’m so motivated to fight Bobby Gunn – it’s because what I stand for in boxing, he is in bare-knuckle. I respect that.”
On the opportunity to be in the ring on Friday:
“We are getting an opportunity to share the ring, and entertain the people while we share the ring, and I am at-heart an entertainer. And this man is a killer. I’m not saying that this man is not a killer, it’s just that I trust in my abilities to go out and do things differently because that’s who I am.”
On his conditioning:
“I am in very good shape for the first time in four or five years. I feel better than I have felt in a long time. I know I have my hands full, and I know my hands are ready for battle. I know this man is coming to bring it. But that’s what we live for; that’s what we love. Come Friday night be ready for a very entertaining fight.”
Bobby Gunn

On Roy Jones Jr. as an opponent:
I’m born and bred a fighting man, since birth. I’m fighting one of the greatest fighters who ever lived. I’ve seen a lot of horsesh!t on the Internet, people running him down. Saying he’s too old, this or that. Why don’t you guys get in the ring and fight him, then? Let me tell you something right now – I respect him more today than [the fighter he was] 20 years ago. Because he’s more dangerous, he’s cagey, he’s a veteran. There’s nothing you can do to him he hasn’t seen.”
On his mental and physical condition coming into the fight:
“I’m coming here to fight my guts out. I’m in good shape. I’ve been training hard for this one for a long time – this man’s been in my head a long time. I go to sleep with Roy, and I wake up with Roy. He’s part of my family, we’re sick of talking about Roy. I can’t wait to see him Friday night and get it over with! I’m coming here to fight.”
On critics of the matchup:
“In a few days here, me and Roy are going to battle. We’re doing to prove a lot of critics wrong, a lot of doubters. When that bell rings, it’s only me and him in there. To be honest with you, critics mean zero. Their opinions mean nothing… [Roy Jones Jr.] said he’d come and fight me, and he’s here. He has the heart of the lion. But we’re going to get it down. I’ll shake your hand today, but I’ll tell you [to Jones Jr.] we’re in for a good fight, both of us. Roy Jones won’t forget my name for the rest of his life.”

In the main event the legendary Roy Jones, Jr. takes on Bare Knuckle legend Bobby Gunn for the WBF Cruiserweight title LIVE ON PAY-PER-VIEW at the Chase Center in Wilmington, Delaware.

Wilmington, DE (February 8, 2017)–Bare Knuckle Boxing Legend Bobby Gunn is ready for his opportunity of a lifetime, when he takes on all-time great Roy Jones, Jr in a bout scheduled for 12 rounds for the WBF Cruiserweight title that will take place on Fridaynight, February 17th at The Chase Center in Wilmington, Delaware.  The bout can be seen LIVE ON PAY-PER-VIEW.
Gunn of Hackensack, New Jersey has been preparing for this fight, and is ready for the biggest fight of his career.  “
I am fighting an all-time great, and styles make fights.  It will be a hell of a fight,” said Gunn.
Gunn wanted to raise the stakes for the fight, but he doesn’t think that Jones has the confidence that he will come out victorious.
“I laid it out to him for a winner-take-all bout.  I am a puncher, so I know I will win this fight.”
This will be Gunn’s 1st bout in 38 months, but the Bare-Knuckle Legend has been active fighting on the Bare-Knuckle circuit, and has a perfect record of 72-0 with 72 knockouts in those bouts.
“People can look, and think that I haven’t been active, but a fight is a fight and I have been fighting the Bare-Knuckle fights.  Fighting is Fighting.  The only difference in those fights is that the gloves protect the hands.  Despite what it says on my boxing record, I have always been active.  But the time out of the ring plus being against Roy Jones, Jr, the fans will see a different Bobby Gunn.”
Gunn, usually a mild-mannered fighter, has also been motivated by some “Trash-Talk”from Jones.
“He said that I don’t deserve to be in the same ring as him.  I was already motivated for this, and he will find out otherwise on February 17th.  After February 17th, he will remember me for the rest of his life.  I am not coming to dance.  I am coming to fight, and early on, Roy will know that he has a fight on his hands.”

BETHLEHEM, PA. (December 30, 2015) – Unbeaten Omar Douglas (16-0, 11 KOs) gritted out a 10-round unanimous decision over Frank De Alba (17-2-2, 6 KOs) on Tuesday night’s edition of Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) TOE-TO-TOE TUESDAYS on FS1 and BOXEO DE CAMPEONES on FOX Deportes from Sands Bethlehem Event Center in Bethlehem, Pa.
Douglas started to turn up the heat up in round two as he landed two hard left hooks that stopped De Alba in his tracks. De Alba was able to gain confidence in round three, as he was able to counter effectively against Douglas.
Round five had the best two-way action of the first half of the fight with both guys digging deep to gain an advantage.  Douglas seemed to get the better of the exchanges as he landed the harder combinations. Douglas began to take over the middle rounds and in round eight, a left hook rocked De Alba and put him in danger for this first time in the fight.
The two fought hard down the stretch and excited the crowd with Douglas winning in the end by majority decision by scores of 97-93, 96-94 and 95-95.
In the co-main event, Miguel Cruz (12-0, 11 KOs) remained perfect by scoring a seventh-round stoppage over Virgil Green (11-4, 3 KOs) in a scheduled eight-round welterweight battle.
Cruz was dominant throughout the fight and in round four he rocked Green with a left hook that had his opponent stumbling into the corner. In round seven, Cruz landed a perfect right and left hook that put Green down.
Sensing his moment, Cruz quickly finished the deal with two hard lefts that forced referee Benjy Esteves to stop the fight at 1:32 of round seven. Cruz’s power punches proved to be most dangerous as he connected on 46 percent of them.
In the televised opener, Christopher Brooker (7-1, 5 KOs) worked hard and earned an eight-round unanimous decision over previously undefeated Leo Hall in a light heavyweight bout.
Brooker controlled most of the action and came out with a strong first round landing some solid punches in close on Hall.  In round five, Brooker landed a solid combination that sent Hall back to the ropes and had him in trouble. He was far more accurate throughout the night, landing 49 percent of his total punches and 53 percent of his power punches.
In his strongest moment of the fight in round seven, Brooker landed a perfect right on the chin that drew a big reaction from crowd. The judges scored the fight 80-72 and 79-73 twice all for Brooker.
Here is what the fighters had to say Tuesday:
OMAR DOUGLAS
“I feel great. I got some great rounds. The judges might have made it a little bit closer than it really was. But I went into his hometown and did what I do.
“He was about as tough as my last fight. The only thing tougher than the last one was that I had to come here on the road and do it.
“This builds me. It makes me a better fighter. I had a great opportunity tonight and I jumped on it. I feel like I’m the better fighter and tonight I proved it.”
FRANK DEALBA
“It was a very competitive fight. I think I landed more punches. He was more aggressive, but I was landing more.
“This is boxing. I just come here to put on a show for the great fans. I thought I won the fight. I knew I beat him inside.”
MIGUEL CRUZ
“It was a great fight, he was a tough opponent who was very agile and mobile. I had to be patient and it was great to get those rounds. I’m coming for the 147-pound division.
“I was definitely trying to break him down slowly. He was mobile, but I didn’t expect him to be so quick.
“I was hurting him every time I hit him and I finally got him out of there.”
VIRGIL GREEN
“The hits to the back of the head were the problem. I wanted the ref to do something about it but that’s what hurt me. I never recovered from it.
“I felt like I was frustrating him and out-boxing him. But I never recovered from that blow.”
CHRISTOPHER BROOKER
“It was a good fight. He’s a good boxer, but I had to keep it rough. He has some good experience that kicked in, but my will, my heart and my training kicked in too.
“My loss is what got me motivated for this performance. No more setbacks, only get backs.”
LEO HALL
“I tried to work, We were working in there. I wasn’t surprised by anything. It was a good fight.
“I pushed myself. We got in there and fought. There’s no excuses. We’re going back to work.”
