ANOTHER ONE IN THE BOOKS-THE FLOYD MAYWEATHER JR. FOUNDATION’S  3RD ANNUAL FIGHT-4-FITNESS 5K RUN, 2K WALK, KIDS FUN RUN & COMMUNITY DAY EXCEEDS EXPECTATIONS!

 
 
LAS VEGAS (March 16, 2017) The Floyd Mayweather Jr. Foundation (TFMJF) successfully held their 3rd Annual Fight-4-Fitness 5K RUN, 2K WALK, KIDS FUN RUN, & Community Day this past Sunday, at Sunset Park. The goal each year for Fight-4-Fitness is to support the movement toward more active and healthy lifestyles, while forming community alliances where awareness and empowerment serve as the nucleus for an improved quality of life.
“It was important that we put together an event promoting health and fitness awareness and that we got the families involved,” said Nicole Craig, President of The Floyd Mayweather Jr. Foundation.
Fight-4-Fitness followed its tradition and was kicked off with the 5K race and 2K walk, shortly after, kids lined up at the start line to begin the KIDS FUN RUN. 5K participants were awarded by gender and age group categories 1st through 3rd place, while all kids participating in the KIDS FUN RUN were awarded with a participation medal upon crossing the finish line. Children ages 12 and under had the opportunity to participate in a scavenger hunt, where they were challenged to find items hid throughout the park, the 1st-3rd winning group were presented with great prizes from contributing sponsors: Mayweather Promotions, TMT, GameWorks Las Vegas, and Pole Position.
Immediately following the races was the 3rd Annual Community Day to close the event. Community Day featured outstanding live performances from Las Vegas’ very own Prodigy Dance Group and The Monster Kids. Providing music throughout the event was Las Vegas resident DJ, D-Miles, while HOT 97.5’s Mike P emcee’d the event and kept the crowd entertained. Participants were chosen throughout the event winning prizes ranging from: gift cards, signed boxing gloves, merchandise packs, and a 50/50 cash prize!
A new addition to this year’s event was awarding local Las Vegas Track Clubs with a cash donation prize based on the number of registrants who signed up for their respective club. The first place was awarded to The BG Gators track club, second place went to Vegas Stealth, and coming in third place was the SW Stallions .

This year, The Floyd Mayweather Jr. Foundation, plans to unite runners and families within the Las Vegas community and surrounding communities in with a day filled with events geared toward the whole family. The festivities will start off with a 5K race and 2K walk, the Kids Fun Run will follow with Community Day serving as the last event of the day. The races are followed by an awards ceremony honoring the top 5K Race participants in each age category.
Fight-4-Fitness will also feature great healthy food options, vendors, a merchandise booth, kids scavenger hunt, live performances, physical activities geared toward fitness and fun, PLUS MORE! Comedian & radio personality, Mike P, will host this year’s event while the event also features performances by DJ D. Miles, The Monster Kids, Prodigy Dance Group, and appearances from several Mayweather Promotions’ boxing stars: Badou Jack, J’Leon Love, Alexis Santiago, Kevin Newman, Charvis Holifield, and more!

The festivities will start off with a 5K race and 2K walk, the Kids Fun Run will follow, and Community Day to commence the event. Children, ages 12 and under, can take part in a fun-filled scavenger hunt before the Kids Fun Run (one half mile run). SUNDAY, APRIL 17 AT SUNSET PARK IN LAS VEGAS
 
LAS VEGAS (February 25, 2016) The Floyd Mayweather Jr. Foundation (TFMJF) is proud to present the 2ndAnnual Fight 4 Fitness 5K Race, 2K Walk, Kids Fun Run, and Community Day taking place Sunday, April 17at Sunset Park in Las Vegas. Participants can warm-up before the race with a free yoga session courtesy of Power Yoga+Pilates+Fitness, prior to the start of the 5K Race and 2K Walk, which will begin at 8 a.m. Children can take part in a fun-filled scavenger hunt before the Kids Fun Run (one half mile run for kids 12 and under) which kicks off at 10 a.m. The race is followed by an awards ceremony honoring all of the 5K Race participants. The event’s presenting sponsors are Mayweather Promotions, Mayweather Sports, The Money Team and SHOWTIME.
More than 500 people participated in the activities last year and another large, energetic crowd is expected this year. Philanthropist and comedian Rick Smith, who used his platform to form the Random Acts of Kindness Everywhere (RAKE) Foundation, will host this year’s event.
Fight 4 Fitness will also feature live performances from 11-year-old singer-songwriter Sunny Malouf and Dance Connection, plus free Zumba sessions from Zumba Las Vegas. In addition, there will be a boxing ring where anyone will be able to learn some tricks of the trade from Mayweather Promotions’ stars.
“My foundation genuinely cares about the Las Vegas community and we are honored to be able to bring this great event to the city once again,” said Mayweather. “Being active is so important to living a healthy life. We hope to once again spread this positive message and encourage people of all ages to exercise and live healthy lives.”
TFMJF donated $25,000 last year to the Clark County School District that was divided amongst designated schools for support of athletic programs, physical education and related field trips.

Las Vegas (Sept. 23, 2015) – Another memorable Titans of the Trade Breakfast of Champions is in the books as the sixth installment of the Floyd Mayweather fight-day tradition which took place on Saturday, Sept. 12 at MGM Grand in Las Vegas presented by Mayweather Promotions, resulted in a morning of excellent speeches, networking and recognition of some of the most influential and formidable women in the sports industry.
Honorees included the first female coach in the NFL Dr. Jen Welter, Mayweather’s mother Deborah Sinclair and the first female boxing judge Patricia Jarman.
The breakfast was emceed by star of HBO’s Ballers Jazmyn Simon who opened with an inspirational story of a struggling actress who after over 200 different auditions finally landed her big break.
“It’s not how you start, it’s how you finish,” said Simon.
The event culminated with an inspiring speech by Dr. Welter as she accepted the “Titans of the Trade” award. She spoke about the power of achieving one’s goals, not being afraid to pave your own way and the close bond that sports creates amongst people from all walks of life.
“It doesn’t matter how you get in the door, what matters is what you do when you get there,” said Welter. “It’s a full time hustle to be a woman in sports…but God kept me humble and I just try to do everything I can to be the best I can be.”
Overall, the event was a great success and while Mayweather fight days may be a thing of the past with his recent announcement of retirement, the Titans of the Trade Breakfasts will continue.
“What started as a relatively small gathering of women from all facets of the boxing industry has become a fun outside the box event that continues to get better and better,” said Nicole Craig, Vice President of Marketing and Operations for Mayweather Promotions. “This year we added live entertainment, some extra star power and inspiration with the speeches and attendees. It is great to see that this event continues to just get better and better.”
In conjunction with this great event, those who have a strong desire to work and contribute their efforts within the Sports and Entertainment Industry that the Floyd Mayweather Jr. Foundation offers a scholarship for women on a bi-annual basis. This program is designed to offer assistance to women with the potential to make a positive impact, further their education, and benefit the profession as a whole. This Year’s Floyd Mayweather Fight-Day Tradition Marks
6th Installment of the Semi-Annual Celebration
Las Vegas (September 8) – Mayweather Promotions will bring together professionals from across the sports and entertainment industry on Saturday, September 12 for another installment of the Titans of the Trade: Breakfast of Champions. A Floyd Mayweather fight-day tradition, the semi-annual breakfast aims to create a strong rapport among diverse professionals in the industry and honor those who have contributed to positively to advancing women in the field. Titans of the Trade: Breakfast of Champions will take place at MGM Grand Convention Center and tickets are available for purchase at here.
The event kicks off an exciting day of boxing as Floyd Mayweather will step into the ring for the final time that evening as he takes on Andre Berto at MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The Titans of the Trade: Breakfast of Champions supports a strong community of professionals who aspire to positively impact the sports and entertainment industry. In bringing together a large group of highly influential individuals on one of the biggest days in boxing, peers and colleagues are able to share stories, network and celebrate each other’s successes.
This year, the Titans of the Trade Committee is thrilled to present awards to honor the following recipients:
Dr. Jen Welter will be honored with the Titans of the Trade award, as she has made history by becoming the first female coach in the National Football League (NFL). She is currently a camp/preseason inside linebacker coach for the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals.
Deborah Sinclair will be presented with the Golden Glove Award. She is the proud mother of 12-time world champion boxer Floyd Mayweather and two daughters Deltricia and Fannie. From the often-difficult circumstances surrounding her family in their native Grand Rapids, MI, to living a fulfilling life in Las Vegas, Ms. Sinclair encouraged all of her children to rise above their circumstances and strive for the best life possible. Mayweather often attributes his extraordinarily successful career to his mother and her message.
Patrica Jarman will receive the Meritorious Award for her contributions to the boxing industry as a judge, amongst many other accomplishments. She is currently an International Boxing Judge, having presided over 130 title bouts around the world including UFC, Muay Thai, Big Knockout Boxing and Glory Kick Boxing fights. On Saturday, September 12, Jarman will judge the highly anticipated rematch between Orlando Salido and Roman “Rocky” Martinez, which will appear on the Floyd Mayweather vs. Andre Berto undercard.
