DE ENGELEN - The greatest heavyweight of all time Fedor Emelianenko (37-5, 1 NC) will battle the trash-talking Chael Sonnen (31-15-1) in the second semifinal of Bellator’s Heavyweight World Grand Prix. The highly anticipated matchup will emanate from NYCB LIVE, home of the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, N.Y., een 24 hours after Matt Mitrione neemt Ryan Bader on the opposite side of the bracket.

Under the tutelage of Marcelo Garcia at Alliance in New York, Danis began competing at an elite level on the jiu-jitsu circuit not long after emerging on the scene. Danis would win the IBJJF World Championship in Gi and No-Gi in 2014 as a brown belt, with those victories earning him his black belt in 2015. The very next year, Danis would return to the IBJJF tournament and take home the Pan American No-Gi Championship. Garnering the attention of fans along the way, Conor McGregor also took notice, enlisting the services of the New Jersey native to help him train for his 2016 rematch with Nate Diaz. Always one to challenge himself, Danis signed an exclusive multi-fight contract with Bellator in 2017 and has already settled in for training camp at the famed SBG Ireland.

 

 

 

 

 

Fighting out of Herrin, Ill., Kyle Walker will enter the Bellator cage for the first time at Bellator 198, where he will likely play the role of underdog to the BJJ kingpin. Walker made his pro debut in 2013, racking up wins in two of his first three matchups within the calendar year. After taking some time away from the sport, Walker stepped back inside the cage competing for some of the best regional promotions, including a return to Shamrock FC.

LOS ANGELES - De derde openingsronde matchup in 2018 de Bellator Heavyweight World Grand Prix zal de grootste zwaargewicht van alle tijden zijn voorzien Fedor Emelianenko (36-5, 1 NC) nemen op de voormalige wereldkampioen Frank Mir (18-11) in Bellator's terugkeer naar Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Ziek. op Zaterdag, April 28.

 

 

Een exclusieve online voorverkoop voor dit evenement plaatsvindt woensdag januari 24 en donderdag januari 25, met tickets gaan in de verkoop aan het grote publiek op vrijdag januari 26 bij 10 a.m. CT. TOURNAMENT KICKS OFF WITH ‘RAMPAGE’ JACKSON VS. CHAEL SONNEN ATBellator 192 IN LA ON JAN. 20

LOS ANGELES –The bracket for the Bellator MMA World Grand Prix 2018 Heavyweight Tournament has been set.

 

Bij Bellator 192: Lima vs. MacDonald op Januari 20, 2018 at The Forum in Los Angeles, the tournament will begin with former champ Quinton "Rampage" Jackson (37-12) taking on renowned trash-talker Chael Sonnen (30-15-1) in an exciting first-round matchup. The event will air on the soon-to-launch Paramount Network.

 

Kort daarna, Matt Mitrione (12-5) ontmoet Roy Nelson (23-14) op Februari 16 bij Bellator 194, an event which will emanate from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn.
