“This will be another exciting night in Trenton,” a spus Marshall Kauffman a Promoții King. “Barrios is one of the best prospects around and it will be interesting to see how he deals with a veteran like Boschiero. The co-feature will pit two undefeated fighters in Watts and Ramirez against each other and the winner will be looked upon as a serious contender.”
A tall super featherweight at more than six feet, the 21-year-old Barrios picked up seven victories in a jam-packed 2015 in which he stopped five opponents inside the distance, including an uppercut left hook combo that ended the night for Manuel Vides in December. The San Antonio-native turned pro in 2013 and is on the fast track towards a world title shot as he made his 2016 debut with a dominant victory over Edgar Gabejean.
An experienced fighter out of Veneto, Italia, Boschiero challenged for a world title in 2011 and won his last two fights by knockout heading into this Iulie 9 clash. He was unbeaten in his first 34 pro fights before challenging Takahiro Ao for the 130-pound world title in a bout that he dropped via split decision. Previously he had won an Italian title with a knockout of Ivan Fiorletta and a European title by defeating Jesus Garcia Escalona. His main event showdown on Iulie 9 will be his first pro bout in the U.S.
Born in Lancaster, California but fighting out of Los Angeles, Watts turned pro in 2013 and has been unblemished since. The 24-year-old defeated previously unbeaten Maximilliano Becerra in April 2015 and in his last two outings he took down once-beaten fighters Michal Chudecki and Manuel Damairias Lopez. He makes his first start outside the state of California on Iulie 9.
A Chicago Golden Gloves champion, Ramirez knocked out seven of his first nine professional opponents and picked up five victories in 2015 including a decision over former world champion Cristobal Cruz. The 23-year-old debuted in 2016 with a second round stoppage of Osumanu Akaba in April.

MONTREAL (Iunie 4) – As the world mourns the loss of Muhammad Ali, Sâmbătă night’s Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) on ESPN and ESPN Deportes telecast began with a “Ceremonial 10-Count” in memory of “Cel Mai Bun” and continued to pay tribute to him throughout the telecast that was headlined by a light heavyweight bout between hard-hitting Russian Olympian Artur Beterbiev against Argentina’s Ezequiel Maderna.
The 31-year-old Beterbiev (10-0, 10 KO), who fights out of Montreal, returned to the ring after an almost year-long layoff following shoulder surgery. Now seven months removed from the procedure, Beterbiev looked sharp from the opening bell as he threw straight right hands and body shots effectively to start the fight.
Maderna, who was also coming off of a long layoff, was hoping to make a statement in his first fight on North American soil as he moved up in weight for this bout. Beterbiev utilized his power and precision to control the entire fight, but kicked it into high gear in the third round, sending the 29-year-old Maderna to the canvas with two right hands. He stood up, but soon after was sent to the canvas again. De data asta, spitting out his mouth piece to delay the bout causing Referee Marlon B. Wright to deduct a point.

The PBC on ESPN telecast, which is the first of seven between Iunie 4 și august 12, opened with two welterweight southpaws facing off in hopes of maintaining their undefeated records. Perrella knocked Grayton down in the beginning of the second round and became forceful with the right hand as Grayton left himself open to punishment. Also featured on the telecast was a six-round super welterweight contest between prospect Jamontay Clark (10-0, 6 KO) of Cincinnati and Mexican warrior Edgar Ortega (16-6, 10 KO). The game Ortega shocked the six-foot-two Clark in the first round, sending him to the canvas with a hard right hand. Clark regained his composure in between the first and second, controlling the fight from then on. Despite taking the fight with nine days’ observa, Ortega stayed with Clark all six rounds, even rolling his ankle in the fourth. After the final bell rung, Clark remained undefeated, registering a unanimous decision victory with the judges scoring the bout 58-55 și 58-54 (de două ori).

Perrella ready for breakthrough performance June 4

Fort Myers, FL (Mai 24, 2016) – Welterweight Bryant “Goodfella” Perrella of Fort Myers, FL faces his toughest foe to date when he challenges Washington, DC’s David “Day Day” Grayton Saturday, Iunie 4.
The anticipated ten round match up between unbeaten southpaws takes place at the Bell Centre in Montreal as part of a Premier Boxing Champions card on ESPN.
Both Perrella, 13-0 (12 Lui KO), and Grayton, 14-0 (10 Lui KO), were heralded amateurs that have been dominant thus far in the paid ranks. As is typically the case when two noteworthy prospects meet, the winner moves a step closer to contention while the fighter who falls short often has to climb back up the mountain.
With Grayton undefeated in his own right and also very hungry to advance his career by emerging victorious, Perrella’s taken his training to new heights. The 27-year-old has traveled throughout the Sunshine State for quality sparring and is strengthening his body by doing regular aquatic training. This has helped him remove weight properly so there won’t be any surprises on the scale. To further assist, Perrella hired a private chef to ensure he’s refueling his body properly.
Global, Perrella’s team is confident about the match up against Grayton and believes the hard work in the gym is an integral part why Bryant will have his hand raised June 4.
"Camp has been great,” said Perrella’s trainer Michael Nowling. “Bryant is treating this camp like we’re preparing for a world title fight. “We will launch the Grand Prix activities, which is the biggest sports week in Montreal, with this card,” said Yvon Michel, Președintele GYM. “Artur is the next boxing superstar in Quebec. Beterbiev returns to his adopted homeland after last fighting in June 2015 and recovering from a shoulder surgery. A two-time Russian Olympian, Beterbiev has fought out of Montreal for his professional career that began in 2013. The 31-year-old has sent all of his opponents out within the distance including dominating performances over former world champions Tavoris Cloud and Gabriel Campillo.
Maderna turned pro in 2008 after representing his native Argentina in the 2008 Olympics and was unbeaten in his first 19 fights before losing a narrow decision to Edwin Rodriguez. Both of the 29-year-old’s defeats have come to unbeaten fighters and he enters this fight on a three bout winning streak including a first round knockout of Rolando Mansilla his last time out.
An undefeated 27-year-old out of Fort Myers, Florida, Perrella comes in off a second round stoppage of Ramon Ayala in January. He picked up five knockouts in a row in 2015 and looks to make it 11 in a row overall when he faces his toughest test yet on Iunie 4.
A Washington D.C. product, Grayton was a National Golden Gloves Champion who beat Errol Spence Jr. on his way to picking up that title. The 28-year-old entered the professional ranks in 2012 and is unbeaten since. El a început 2016 with a stoppage of Daniel Souza Santos in January and now looks to make his mark in a competitive welterweight battle.

The 31-year-old Beterbiev (9-0, 9 KO), the adopted son of Montreal, is on a seek-and-destroy mission for his first fight într-un an. Also fighting on the undercard is popular French-Canadian welterweight Sebastian Bouchard (12-1, 4 KO) who meets an opponent to be determined in an 8-rounder; Montreal super bantamweight Vislan Dalkaev (6-0, 2 KO) vs. Mexican invader Javier “El Chivero” Franco (25-17-4), Montreal super middleweight Dario Bredicean (8-0, 2 KO) against TBA and Toronto’s Parnell Fischer (0-1, 0 KO) vs. Mexican opponent Larami “Domn” Carmona (1-2, 0 KO) in a 4-round fight.

Perrella to face Grayton June 4 pe ESPN

Fort Myers, FL (Mai 11, 2016) – Welterweight sensation Bryant “Goodfella” Perrella will face his toughest foe to date when he challenges fellow unbeaten southpaw David “Day-Day” Grayton Sâmbătă, Iunie 4 la Centrul Bell din Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

 

The Perrella-Grayton bout serves as the co-main event of a Premier Boxing Champions card televised on ESPN.

 

Living and fighting out of Fort Myers, FL, the heavy-handed Perrella has a stellar 13-0 registrul profesionist cu 12 victorii prin knock-out. Against Grayton, 6’0 Perrella fights on TV for a third consecutive time, previously halting both Chaquib Fadli and Ramon Ayala. “I know he’s undefeated and is coming to fight but this is a big step up for him,” Perrella said of Grayton. “I expect him to try and drag me into a dog fight. Regardless of what he brings, I’m looking forward to come out on top with a great performance. I’ve fought the better opposition and have been asking for harder fights. I believe I’m an overall better fighter and on Iunie 4 everybody will see that.”

 

Michael Nowling, Perrella’s head trainer, is very familiar Grayton and is equally as confident his fighter will emerge victorious.

 

“David Grayton is a strong and athletic southpaw that is coming to win. Regardless, he’s never fought anybody like Bryant Perrella. For some time now, I’ve wanted Bryant to step up and fight another prospect because I believe he’s better than a lot of guys out there. Against Grayton, our plan is to break him down and win in style. Doing so in a fight like this can set us apart from other prospects.”

MIAMI (Noiembrie 25, 2015) – Super campion mondial semimijlocie și senzație cubanezErislandy “Visul american” Lara (22-2-2, 13 KO) apărat cu succes titlul de campion mondial și fostul slovenă Jan Zaveck (35-4, 19 KO) într-un spectacol de box Premier Campionilor pe ESPN la Miami Hialeah Park Racing & Cazinou.
Din cauza vremii în zona, Evenimentul Principal a fost mutat pentru a asigura lupta sa întâmplat. Din clopot de deschidere, Lara a controlat acțiunea de aterizare lovituri grele. “Voi confrunta cu cineva care doresc să pună în fața mea la 154 lbs, excepția cazului în care este Canelo (Alavarez) sau (Miguel) Gătit. Apoi vom merge până la 160 lbs.”

“Am în prezent o durere ascuțită merge de la gâtul meu la umar pe partea dreaptă.
“Știam că aș putea încerca să lupte pe teren și un pumn norocos, dar că a fost o posibilitate mică și a fost, probabil, mai bine să se oprească și lupta o alta zi.
“M-am simțit bine acolo înainte de faptul că. Am încercat să-l surprindă luptând el în strânsă, dar am fost de a lua prea multe pumni și el are o putere foarte bun.
“Nu am mai fost răniți ca acest lucru înainte. Este foarte ciudat. Durerea este in crestere.”
EMMANUEL RODRIGUEZ
“Ca lupta a început am putea spune Aquino a fost un luptator puternic, dar odată ce am început să-l box știam că ar putea încheia lupta în rundele ulterioare.

“(Rodriguez) was better la noapte. Nu este nimic mai complicat decât atât. El a fost un luptător mai bun decât mine. Iau nimic de la el.
“Nu am fost niciodată rănit în timpul luptei. El a fost puternic, dar am ținut la sol mea și nu a fost niciodată în pericol. L-am lovit cu niste fotografii bune prea. Tocmai a aterizat mai mult decât am făcut-. E vina mea.
“Eu nu am fost frustrat. I just ran into a great fighter and la noapte was his night. Mă voi întoarce. E doar o luptă și o lecție învățată.”
