A tall super featherweight at more than six feet, the 21-year-old Barrios picked up seven victories in a jam-packed 2015 in which he stopped five opponents inside the distance, including an uppercut left hook combo that ended the night for Manuel Vides in December. The San Antonio-native turned pro in 2013 and is on the fast track towards a world title shot as he made his 2016 debut with a dominant victory over Edgar Gabejean.
An experienced fighter out of Veneto, Italija, Boschiero challenged for a world title in 2011 and won his last two fights by knockout heading into this Srpanj 9 clash. He was unbeaten in his first 34 pro fights before challenging Takahiro Ao for the 130-pound world title in a bout that he dropped via split decision. Previously he had won an Italian title with a knockout of Ivan Fiorletta and a European title by defeating Jesus Garcia Escalona. Born in Lancaster, California but fighting out of Los Angeles, Watts turned pro in 2013 and has been unblemished since. The 24-year-old defeated previously unbeaten Maximilliano Becerra in April 2015 and in his last two outings he took down once-beaten fighters Michal Chudecki and Manuel Damairias Lopez. He makes his first start outside the state of California on Srpanj 9.
A Chicago Golden Gloves champion, Ramirez knocked out seven of his first nine professional opponents and picked up five victories in 2015 including a decision over former world champion Cristobal Cruz. The 23-year-old debuted in 2016 with a second round stoppage of Osumanu Akaba in April.

MONTREAL (Lipanj 4) – As the world mourns the loss of Muhammad Ali, Subota night’s Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) on ESPN and ESPN Deportes telecast began with a “Ceremonial 10-Count” in memory of “Najveći” and continued to pay tribute to him throughout the telecast that was headlined by a light heavyweight bout between hard-hitting Russian Olympian Artur Beterbiev against Argentina’s Ezequiel Maderna.
The 31-year-old Beterbiev (10-0, 10 Kos), who fights out of Montreal, returned to the ring after an almost year-long layoff following shoulder surgery. Now seven months removed from the procedure, Beterbiev looked sharp from the opening bell as he threw straight right hands and body shots effectively to start the fight.
Maderna, who was also coming off of a long layoff, was hoping to make a statement in his first fight on North American soil as he moved up in weight for this bout. Beterbiev utilized his power and precision to control the entire fight, but kicked it into high gear in the third round, sending the 29-year-old Maderna to the canvas with two right hands. He stood up, but soon after was sent to the canvas again. Ovaj puta, spitting out his mouth piece to delay the bout causing Referee Marlon B. Wright to deduct a point.

The PBC on ESPN telecast, which is the first of seven between Lipanj 4 i kolovoz 12, opened with two welterweight southpaws facing off in hopes of maintaining their undefeated records. The welterweight division is filled with lions, tigers and bears, but I’m Tarzan baby. I’m the king of this jungle. I’m ready for whatever.”
Also featured on the telecast was a six-round super welterweight contest between prospect Jamontay Clark (10-0, 6 Kos) of Cincinnati and Mexican warrior Edgar Ortega (16-6, 10 Kos). The game Ortega shocked the six-foot-two Clark in the first round, sending him to the canvas with a hard right hand. Clark regained his composure in between the first and second, controlling the fight from then on. Despite taking the fight with nine days’ obavijest, Ortega stayed with Clark all six rounds, even rolling his ankle in the fourth. After the final bell rung, Clark remained undefeated, registering a unanimous decision victory with the judges scoring the bout 58-55 a 58-54 (dvaput).

Clark, a highly-regarded prospect and Cincinnati-native impressed in his hometown last time out by stopping veteran Elvin Perez in the sixth round in February. The 21-year-old is unbeaten since turning pro in 2014. He will take on Ortega out of Torreon, Mexico who has fought professionally since 2012.

Perrella ready for breakthrough performance June 4

Fort Myers, Florida (Svibanj 24, 2016) – Welterweight Bryant “Goodfella” Perrella of Fort Myers, FL faces his toughest foe to date when he challenges Washington, DC’s David “Day Day” Grayton Saturday, Lipanj 4.
The anticipated ten round match up between unbeaten southpaws takes place at the Bell Centre in Montreal as part of a Premier Boxing Champions card on ESPN.
Both Perrella, 13-0 (12 KO-a), and Grayton, 14-0 (10 KO-a), were heralded amateurs that have been dominant thus far in the paid ranks. As is typically the case when two noteworthy prospects meet, the winner moves a step closer to contention while the fighter who falls short often has to climb back up the mountain.
With Grayton undefeated in his own right and also very hungry to advance his career by emerging victorious, Perrella’s taken his training to new heights. The 27-year-old has traveled throughout the Sunshine State for quality sparring and is strengthening his body by doing regular aquatic training. This has helped him remove weight properly so there won’t be any surprises on the scale. To further assist, Perrella hired a private chef to ensure he’s refueling his body properly.
Sveukupno, Perrella’s team is confident about the match up against Grayton and believes the hard work in the gym is an integral part why Bryant will have his hand raised June 4.
"Camp has been great,” said Perrella’s trainer Michael Nowling. “Bryant is treating this camp like we’re preparing for a world title fight. “I’m ready to get in the ring and put on a great performance,” said Grayton. “Training is going well and I’ve had lots of good sparring and conditioning. We know we have a rangy southpaw who’s going to be tough. It’s about whoever wants it the most and I bet I’ll be hungrier. When I get the win, the sky is the limit.”

A two-time Russian Olympian, Beterbiev has fought out of Montreal for his professional career that began in 2013. The 31-year-old has sent all of his opponents out within the distance including dominating performances over former world champions Tavoris Cloud and Gabriel Campillo.
Maderna turned pro in 2008 after representing his native Argentina in the 2008 Olympics and was unbeaten in his first 19 fights before losing a narrow decision to Edwin Rodriguez. Both of the 29-year-old’s defeats have come to unbeaten fighters and he enters this fight on a three bout winning streak including a first round knockout of Rolando Mansilla his last time out.
An undefeated 27-year-old out of Fort Myers, Florida, Perrella comes in off a second round stoppage of Ramon Ayala in January. He picked up five knockouts in a row in 2015 and looks to make it 11 in a row overall when he faces his toughest test yet on Lipanj 4.
A Washington D.C. product, Grayton was a National Golden Gloves Champion who beat Errol Spence Jr. on his way to picking up that title. The 28-year-old entered the professional ranks in 2012 and is unbeaten since. The 31-year-old Beterbiev (9-0, 9 Kos), the adopted son of Montreal, is on a seek-and-destroy mission for his first fight u jednoj godini. Fort Myers, Florida (Svibanj 11, 2016) – Welterweight sensation Bryant “Goodfella” Perrella will face his toughest foe to date when he challenges fellow unbeaten southpaw David “Day-Day” Grayton Subota, Lipanj 4 u Bell Centru u Montrealu, Quebec, Kanada.

 

The Perrella-Grayton bout serves as the co-main event of a Premier Boxing Champions card televised on ESPN.

 

Living and fighting out of Fort Myers, Florida, the heavy-handed Perrella has a stellar 13-0 stručne knjige s 12 pobjeda nokautom. Against Grayton, 6’0 Perrella fights on TV for a third consecutive time, previously halting both Chaquib Fadli and Ramon Ayala. I believe I’m an overall better fighter and on Lipanj 4 everybody will see that.”

 

Michael Nowling, Perrella’s head trainer, is very familiar Grayton and is equally as confident his fighter will emerge victorious.

 

“David Grayton is a strong and athletic southpaw that is coming to win. Bez obzira, he’s never fought anybody like Bryant Perrella. For some time now, I’ve wanted Bryant to step up and fight another prospect because I believe he’s better than a lot of guys out there. “Ja sam vrlo sretan da se ponovno bori u Miami području. Ovo je moj prvi put boreći se ovdje od 2009 i drago mi je da sam mogao staviti na dobar show za obožavatelje. Ja sam vrlo zahvalan za način na koji su pokazali da me podržati večeras.
“Sam pogodio (Zaveck) s velikim pucao na bradi i smrznuti cijelo tijelo. On je žalio na bolove u uhu i nogu, ali dno crta je sam dobio pobjedu.
“Ja ću se suočiti koga žele staviti ispred mene 154 lbs, osim ako je Canelo (Alavarez) ili (Miguel) Kuhan. Onda ćemo ići do 160 lbs.”
JAN ZAVECK
“Ja trenutno imaju oštru bol ide od mog vrata na moje rame na desnoj strani.
“Znao sam da mogu pokušati boriti i zemlju sretan bušiti, ali to je mala mogućnost i to je vjerojatno bolje da se zaustavi i boriti još jedan dan.
“Osjećao sam se dobro tamo prije toga. Pokušao sam ga iznenaditi ga boreći se u neposrednoj blizini, ali sam bio uzimajući previše udaraca i on ima vrlo dobru moć.
“Nikada nisam bio ozlijeđen kao što je ovaj prije. To je vrlo čudno. Bol je rastom.”
EMMANUEL RODRIGUEZ
“Kao što je borba počela sam mogao reći Aquino je jak borac, ali kada sam počeo boks ga znao sam ja mogao završiti borbu u kasnijim rundama.
“Plan je bio da ga uzme u dubokim vodama i čine ga dugo borba. U sedmom krugu moj kutak mi je rekao da je kraj, a ja slušao.
“Slažem se s obustavom. Bio je uzimanje previše kaznu u tu.
“Biti dio PBC karticu na ESPN pomaže preuzeti svoju karijeru na sljedeću razinu. Zahvalan sam za ovu priliku.
“Ja ću se boriti tko mi je promotor i menadžer reci mi da. Spreman sam za svakoga.”
Aquino izvlačenje
“(Rodriguez) was better večeras. To nije ništa složeniji od toga. On je bio bolji borac od mene. JA uzeti ništa od njega.
“Nikad se ozlijedio tijekom borbe. Bio je jak, ali sam održao svoju zemlju i nikada nije bio u nevolji. Udario sam ga s neke dobre snimke previše. On je samo spustio više od mene. To je moja krivnja.
