The bout will kick off an historic weekend for Seldon, as his father, the former WBA Heavyweight champion of the world Bruce Seldon will be inducted into the Atlantic City Boxing Hall of Fame.

Undefeated Puerto Rican Bantamweight Manny Rodriguez Ready for Former World Champion Paul Butler This Saturday at 02 Arène

Bantamweight contender Emmanuel “Manny” Rodriguez and his team have landed safely and ready to face former world champion Paul “Baby Faced Assassin” Butler for the vacant IBF World Championship, ce samedi, Mai 5, at the O2 Arena in London.

SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIE. – Avril 12, 2018 -Paul Butler gets the chance to become two-time IBF World Bantamweight champion when he tackles undefeated Emmanuel Rodriguez at The O2 in London on May 5, live on AWE-A Wealth of Entertainment.

 

 

 

Butler’s clash with Rodriguez is part of a huge night of action in Greenwich as Heavyweight rivals Tony Bellew and David Haye clash in a hotly-anticipated rematch.

 

 

 

Butler landed the IBF strap in April 2014 by taking it from Stuart Hall in Newcastle before vacating the strap to move down to Super-Flyweight in March 2015 to challenge IBF champion Zolani Tete.

 

 

 

The ‘Baby Faced Assassin’ returned to 118lbs and back into title contention when he comfortably saw off Hall in a rematch in Liverpool in September, and is rated at four in the IBF, one spot behind top-rated Rodriguez.

 

 

 

The unbeaten 25 year old visitor is hotly-rated having raced to 17-0 in the paid ranks with 12 wins inside the distance, a rise all the more impressive following an amateur background that was stunted by a car accident.

 

 

 

Rodriguez’s trip to London is his first outside the Americas since turning pro and his first over the championship distance, and Butler intends to make the trip a miserable one for the Puerto Rican and reclaim his title.

 

 

 

“I’m very excited for this,” said Butler. “It’s the reason we came over to Eddie in the first place, I knew he would deliver the big fights for me. We’re just four weeks away. It’s a big test but I’m confident.

 

 

 

“It’s an honor to contest the IBF title again. I want to win it back then hopefully defend which I didn’t have the chance to do last time.

 

 

 

“It sounded a good idea at the time to vacate but looking back now I should have kept hold of the belt. I should have worked on my strength and conditioning, filled out and defended my title. I’ve definitely got some unfinished business with this – it would be brilliant to go out there and win it again.

 

 

 

“It’s a tougher test the last time I won the title, but I’m up for the challenge. I’ve improved myself. He’s touted to be this next big superstar, but how many of them come over here and get turned on their heads?

 

 

 

“I never used to look at my opponents, but since I’ve linked up with Joe he’s always sending me little clips. He looks a good kid, he likes to work at midrange but in truth I don’t want to say too much about what he does and doesn’t do well.

 

 

 

“I don’t care how big and tough he is – we both have two arms, two legs, he’s from Puerto Rico and I’m from Ellesmere Port so let’s get it on. I can see this being a very good fight, we both like to go body to head, head to body but I’ll come out being the two-time IBF World Bantamweight champion.”

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ-Il était une nuit douce-amère pour welterweight prétendante Thomas LaManna comme il a gagné une décision unanime de 10 rounds sur George Sosa dans un combat divertissant devant une foule de capacité à Le Claridge Hôtel En Atlantic City.

La carte 11-combat a été promu par la hausse des promotions.

Lamanna a remporté le titre WBC Silver Latino Welterweight et peu de temps après, le combattant connu sous le nom “Cornflake” rapidement annoncé sa retraite dans le ring.

Atlantic City, New Jersey (Juillet 14, 2017)–Welterweight, Thomas “Cornflake” LaManna va prendre George Sosa pour la WBC Argent Latino Welterweight championnat dans l'événement principal de dix rondes qui sera la vedette d'une grande soirée de boxe de championnat Samedi, 19 août à Le Claridge Hôtel en Atlantic City.
Le spectacle devrait être le 9 sold-out spectacle au Claridge promu par la hausse des promotions.
“La hausse Promotions attend avec impatience la fin de l'été avec un autre grand spectacle ici au Claridge. Nous avons une bonne ligne sur la carte donc nous espérons une salle comble, et nous attendons avec impatience la mise en scène de notre premier combat de championnat,” déclaré Debbie LaManna des promotions Rising.
Le combat de championnat est le premier grand combat de championnat du corps sanctionnant à Atlantic City dans près de trois ans. (Kovalev vs Hopkins, Novembre 8, 2014).
Lamanna cherchera à gagner sa première ceinture dans la division poids welter. Une victoire le propulser dans le classement comme il a l'air d'un combat de haut niveau plus tard cette année.

HOLLYWOOD, FL. (Juin 4, 2016) – Undefeated lightweight world champion Rances“Explosion Kid” Barthélemy (25-0, 13 KOs) defeated former world champion Mickey “The Spirit” Bey (22-2-1, 10 KOs) par décision partagée (117-110, 116-111, 110-117) dans l'événement principal de Premier Champions de boxe (PBC) sur Épi Vendredi night at the Hard Rock Live at the Seminole Hotel & Casino à Hollywood, Floride.
Following an exciting first round in which Barthelemy backed Bey up at the bell, round two came to a close with similar fireworks in the form of an accidental head butt. In the commotion, a stunned Barthelemy stumbled to the canvas and referee Sam Burgos ruled it an official knockdown, making it the first of Barthelemy’s career.
Barthelemy said, “I really don’t remember exactly what happened, but I felt it was more of a slip than anything. I was a little off balance and we butted heads so at that point that’s when I went down, but that’s okay. I don’t mind that they counted it.”
Bey had issues with the head contact also. “After I dropped him he got me again with a good head butt. The cut on my eye from that second head butt affected me for about four or five rounds, but it’s a fight, so you have to do the best you can with the vision you have. But I would have liked to avoid all the head contact.”
“It was the first time in my entire career, both amateurs and professionals, that I hit the canvas in any way,” added Barthelemy. “It was just a little surprising, but after that I knew I had to come out strong and put pressure on him because I knew the judges might hold that against me. My mentality originally was to outbox but I had to change my plans and start putting pressure on him.”
In a fight that saw a lot of competitive back and forth action during the middle and late rounds, neither fighter was able to take complete control or end the evening early.
Barthelemy believed he’d done enough to win unanimously arguing, “When I heard the judge who gave the score to Bey I thought he was either blind or he was bought. I felt that was disrespectful not only to me but to the fans as well.
“We knew what Mickey was prepared for though,” concluded Barthelemy. “We knew he was going to be an evasive counter puncher and we knew that Bey came from the Mayweather school of boxing. So we knew what we were up against and he put on a tough fight.”
Bey vowed to avenge the hard-fought loss soon. “I’m ready to get right back after it and chase another belt. I’m looking to stay busy and get back in the ring soon.”
Dans le premier match télévisé, undefeated Puerto Rican bantamweight Emmanuel Rodriguez (15-0, 10 KOs) beat experienced Mexican Alberto “Métro” Guevara (24-3, 9 KOs) par décision unanime (99-91, 100-90, 99-91).
Rodriguez controlled the opening rounds with a variety of left hooks and overhand rights, backing Guevara up at will.
“My strategy was to come in and attack him because he is not your typical Mexican-style fighter,” dit Rodriguez.
An accidental head butt at the end of round four led to a cut that developed under the left eye of Guevara.
“We knew he was an awkward fighter,” said Rodriguez of their heads colliding, “But he was even more awkward than we thought.”
A highly decorated amateur, Rodriguez continued his calculated, methodical approach throughout the middle rounds.
Rodriguez added, “We weren’t able to really decipher him in the first rounds but we were able to adjust eventually.”
Guevara, who has fought in two world title fights, threw a change-up and came out fighting more wildly in round seven, causing Rodriguez some minor issues with the distance.
Cependant, Rodriguez stuck to his game plan and used his superior timing to coast to victory in the later rounds.
Guevara said, “My plan was to box him and tap him when I had him, but things didn’t come out that way. I’m not sure if it was a lack of focus or what it was, I’m just not sure. I feel good though. Plant spent much of the first two rounds displaying his trademark showmanship and feeling out Galvan.
Plant said his strategy entering the ring was, “To be sharp and slick ce soir, stay relaxed and patient. I didn’t want to force anything or leave myself out there too long.”
That’s exactly what Plant did, ending the bout in the fourth with a devastating blow to Galvan’s solar plexus.
A frustrated Galvan said, “He got a lucky shot, I threw a straight right and he slipped by it and landed a body shot to my liver so I wasn’t able to continue with the fight after that.”
“It was just about staying patient and waiting for him to make a mistake,” ladite plante. “I wanted to take advantage, and that’s what happened. I took the body shot when I saw he was open and he went down.”
