Brooker decisions Aikens; Cintron decisions Flores in front of big crowd in Philadelphia

Philadelphia, PA (Mai 7, 2016)– Christopher Brooker won a 8-round unanimous decision over Antowyan Aikens that headlined a 10-bout card at a nearly sold-out 2300 Arena în Europa de Sud Philadelphia.

Cintron was systematic with his punches and worked well to the body and head. Flores was a game opponent who tried and got in a few decent shots of his own.

Kelleher landed hard power shots over the first two rounds as he dived up his punches between the body and head. Kelleher landed some vicious body shots in round three and assaulted James with a hard flurry in the corner until referee Blair Talmidge stopped the bout at 2:23 de turul trei.

Emmanuel Folly scored a stoppage after round one of his scheduled 4-round featherweight bout with Bryan Perez.

Perez injured his hand and the bout was stopped in the corner.

Folly of Philadelphia is 7-0 cu cinci knockout. Perez of Carolina, PR este 2-4-1.

Amir Shabazz won a 4-round unanimous decision over Tahlik Taylor in a Lightweight bout.

Shabazz scored a knockdown in round one from a right hand.

Cintron, who for most of the last decade was a heralded prospect, turned world champion, is reuniting with the team started him to his journey.
“Everything has been great for this camp and I got excellent sparring and I am ready to go,” Cintron said.
The Reading, Pennsylvania native is happy to fighting just forty-five minutes away from his hometown. He will making his first appearance in the “City of Brotherly Love” in fifteen years.

“Fighting in Philly is exciting. I will have lots of family, friends from school and other friends be able to drive and see the fight. It is a great opportunity for them to watch me live. It’s been a long time but I am looking forward to it.”

Most of Cintron’s fights in the past decade have been high-profile fights that have been seen in on premium cable television. Cintron is taking this stage of his career one fight at a time.
“It is all up to my promoter Marshall Kauffman and King’s Promotions. When he says that I am ready for a bigger fight, that is when we will move to that. I am just trying to get my feet wet again. I am excited for this opportunity and to be back with Marshall. Marshall and Joe Pastore trained me to get to the top. Now Joe is training me and Marshall is promoting me and I am happy to be back with them. I am just trying to get back to being my old self again. I have been working on walking my opponents down.”
This fight is ticketed for 154 de lire sterline, but Cintron has eyes on welterweight glory again.
“We will slowly work our way down and see how my body feels. This will be at 154. The next fight, I am looking at 150-151 and then hopefully 147.”
In Flores, Cintron is fighting an experienced foe who has been in the ring with former world champion Carlos Baldomir plus a bevy of contenders and prospects.
“I really do not know much on him other then he has fought a bunch of good fighters and he is from Ecuador. I just expect me to be my old self and if that is the case, a knockout should be happening vineri.”

BETHLEHEM, PA. (Februarie 10, 2016) – Undefeated 2012 S.U.A.. Olimpic Jamel Herring (15-0, 8 KO) scored a unanimous decision (100-88, 100-88, 99-89) over Colombia’s Luis Eduardo Flores (21-3, 17 KO) in a 10-round lightweight bout in the main event of Marți Premier box Campionilor (PBC) Marți TOE-la-n picioare pe FS1 și Box Campionilor pe FOX Sports fight card at Sands Event Center in Bethlehem, PA.
Hering, who represented the United States at the 2012 Olympic games after winning the U.S. Titlu național amatori în același an, commanded the action throughout.
“I knew if I boxed smart it would show, but I didn’t think it would be that wide a margin,” Said Herring. “He’s a very experienced fighter.”
Herring added, “I was trying to get rid of him early because he’s a dangerous guy. If you let a guy like that sit around too long there’s always the risk that you might get clipped with something and regret it.”
Hering, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, hopes the win Marți night will launch him into world title contention in 2016.

Martin responded to the talk of baiting saying, “I just stuck to my fundamentals, kept pumping my jab and setting him up for the next shot.
“I knew I hurt him with the uppercut. He walked right into it. And then when I threw the hook he couldn’t do anything,” a spus Martin.
Following the bout Gomez said, “I plan to retire after la noapte. I care too much and fight too hard to be just another opponent.”
The second televised fight saw Raynell Williams (11-0, 5 KO) win a unanimous decision (79-73, 79-73, 78-74) peste Gabriel Tolmajyan (14-3-2, 3 KO) in eight rounds of lightweight action.

“The only time he was able to catch me with anything was when I got a little lazy,” a spus Williams.

“I was focused on boxing him and not so much worried about the knockout,” added Williams. “I knew I was winning the rounds.”
In the final frame, Tolmajyan, fighting out of Glendale, CA, caught Williams with a shot that nearly ended things.
Williams recalled, “It was an overhand left that he hit me with. And then he came after me again, but the ref and I made contact, so then the ref pushed me away because he didn’t want me to try holding on to him. But once I got my feet under me I was fine.”
Totuși, Tolmajyan wasn’t impressed with Williams saying, “He wasn’t as good as we were expecting and I had him hurt with my left.
“I thought that I was winning the fight to be honest. I didn’t think I was going to lose the decision,” added Tolmajyan.
Williams concluded, “I hope to learn from my mistakes la noapte. I got caught with a good punch in the last few seconds la noapte, so I just need to work on consistency and fighting until the final bell.”
