Baitalami, PA. (Afrilu 5, 2017) – Former title challenger Edner Banana (36-7-2, 19 Kos) won a competitive decision over Omar Douglas (17-2, 12 Farashin) a babban taron daPremier dambe gasar zakarun Oktoba-TO-Oktoba Talata a kan FS1 da Dambe gasar zakarun a Fox Deportes Talata night from Sands Bethlehem Events Center in Bethlehem, Pa.
Cherry came out aggressive from the opening bell, landing a strong left hook and backing up Douglas early and often over the first few rounds. Douglas attempted to control the fight with his jab and movement and had some success moving his head to avoid many of the power punches from Cherry.
Douglas did well as he increased his attack to the body in the middle rounds and continued to move backward to avoid the power punches being thrown by Cherry. The differing styles left the judges with a decision to make in weighing the movement and technique of Douglas versus the aggression of Cherry.
A ƙarshe, the consistency of Cherry’s attack, who frequently targeted Douglas with combinations to the head, was more effective in the minds of the judges. The final score totals were 98-92 da kuma 96-94 twice for Cherry.
Additional action featured Philadelphia’s Stephen Fulton (11-0, 5 Kos) earning a unanimous decision over previously unbeaten Luis Rosario (8-1-1, 7 Kos) in their eight-round super bantamweight contest.
Rosario was the more aggressive fighter in the early rounds, but it was Fulton who timed his opponent first and built up an early lead with a combination of check hooks and power punches. Fulton was patient against the attack-minded Rosario and was able to counter effectively while avoiding Rosario’s power punches.
Fulton continued to have success in the middle rounds as Rosario’s attack slowed, but the Puerto Rican fighter came out with an increased level of aggression in round seven and tagged Fulton during several exciting exchanges.
Despite the increasing pressure, Fulton was able to stay composed and fend off Rosario over the final two rounds on his way to winning a unanimous decision by scores of 78-74, 79-73 da kuma 80-72.
The opening bout of the telecast saw Bethlehem’s Frank DeAlba (22-2-2, 9 Kos) score a unanimous decision over Ryan Kielczweski (26-3, 8 Kos) a cikin wani takwas zagaye super featherweight fadan.
The hometown fighter got off to a slow start as Kielczweski appeared to control the early rounds using his movement and tagging the southpaw with right hands. DeAlba began to work on the inside of his opponent and found more success starting in the fourth round.
Once he had closed the distance, DeAlba began to land hooks to the head and smothered much of Kielczweski’s offense. With an increased emphasis on body-punching in the late rounds, DeAlba turned the tide of the fight in the judgesminds and earned a unanimous decision by scores of 77-75 sau biyu, da kuma 80-72.
A nan shi ne abin da mayakan ya ce Talata dare:
EDNER Banana
I take my hat off to Douglas. I thought I pulled out the victory. I tried to press for it but it was a back and forth fight.
I’m excited to get the win. I beat a great young fighter. I hate when people say I’m old because I work harder than these young fighters. I drive an hour and a half to the gym every day to do this.
I’m looking for big things. I want to be great and I want the biggest fights out there. I believe I’m going to get a significant fight.
OMAR Douglas
I didn’t lose that fight. Period.
The fight went how I expected it would in the ring. I’ve always been a fan of his. I feel like I fight great competition and I was able to out box him with my jab. He tried to bait me in and I showed I was the better boxer.
STEPHEN FULTON
I feel good winning my first eight-round fight and televised bout. I feel great after that performance. The fight went exactly how I thought.
I knew he would try to drop combinations on me, but I worked my jab and moved so I would not be in a straight line for his left hand.
LUIS ROSARIO
Fulton is a good boxer. He did not want to fight man-to-man, but he moved well. He was shying away from exchanging with me.
I thought it was a close fight that could have gone either way. I blocked a lot of his punches with my gloves.
FRANK DEALBA
“Shi ne mai girma yaki. He is a tough fighter and I felt I did enough to get the decision. I out boxed him. He was just looking for one big shot.
Hopefully this win gets me to another level. He has fought really good opponents, so a win over him gets me to fight bigger fights. I was in great shape. I saw he was tiring and I thought that was the difference.
Ryan KIELCZWESKI
It was a good fight for me and I stuck to my game plan. In the seventh round he hit me with a body shot and knocked the wind out of me.
It was a close fight but I thought I won 5-3. I could have lived with a draw. He got the close rounds, but every round? Come on.

Cherry of Wauchula, Florida has had a smooth camp while training in the Sunshine State and is ready for the 46th start of his professional start.
Everything is good, and we will be prepared for everything on Afrilu 4th,” said the 34-year-old Cherry.
“A kan Afrilu 4th, whatever Douglas brings, we will be prepared for. This is not the first time, that I’ve been in this position. He is the guy who has to prove he can perform. I have been there before, so the pressure is on him.
Cherry has been a top contender at both the 130 da kuma 135 kore ƙungiyoyin, and he even challenged for a world title at 140 fam. He believes there are many reasons that he has remained a viable contender who has only lost once in the last nine years and 13 ta faɗa.
I am motivated and I believe in myself,” ya ce Cherry. “Those are the reasons that I am still here at the top of the 130 da kuma 135 divisions. My family gives me drive every day. Afrilu 4th will be another great fight. This is my job and I have to go out and do it well.
Cherry believes a win should gain him another crack at a world title.
A win definitely puts me ahead. It will open doors for better fights and better paydays. A title shot is what I want. But also a bigger money fight that will take care of my family.
Douglas has been training at home in Delaware, has been working hard for this fight, which could be a breakthrough fight on the heels of his narrow defeat to former world champion Javier Fortuna last November.
“Duk abin da yake mai girma. This has been a long camp. I have been getting great work,” ya ce, 26- year-old Douglas.
I am the better fighter. I have known about him for a long time. I watched him a lot when he fought a ranar Jumma'a Dare Combats.”
That fight with Fortuna was a major step up, and Douglas had a lot of positive moments, as he dropped the former champion in the 1st round, only to lose by three points on two cards and one point on a third card.
The Fortuna fight let me know and let the people know that Omar Douglas is a world class fighter. Even in a loss, people did not expect me to do well. I thought that I showed a lot that night and I will carry that confidence into this fight on Afrilu 4th.”
Douglas believes that a win over Cherry is his path to a world title.
I think that it is time. I just happen to be crossing paths with Cherry. This fight makes sense for me. I will let people know that I am player at 130 fam, and a win will earn me a title shot. I have shown that I will fight anyone. Look at the records of my previous opponents. Fortuna was 30-1 and one fight removed from being a world champion. Alexei Collado was 19-1; Frank De Alba was 17-1. So wins over those guys plus Cherry should have me right there, but I am focusing on Edner Cherry. He is a great veteran, amma a ranar Talata night I will be victorious.

READING, PA (Maris 18, 2017) – In a 12-round heavyweight war that lived up to the hype, Amir Mansour (23-2-1, 16 Kos) was able to take a majority decision (114-114, 117-111, 115-113) over Travis Kauffman (31-2, 23 Kos) in the main event of Premier Boxing Champions: The Next Round on Bounce from Santander Arena in Reading, PA.

A zagaye biyu, Kauffman buckled Mansour with a hard right on the inside. The two fighters started round four with bad intentions as they each landed hard shots on the inside. Kauffman switched back and forth between orthodox and southpaw stances in an attempt to befuddle the southpaw Mansour.

By the closing rounds, both fighters began to grind out a hard-fought battle on the inside. In rounds nine and 10, it was Mansour who had more pep in his step, landing several hard blows to close out round 10.

Zagaye 12 was a classic heavyweight slugfest, as Kauffman and Mansour stood toe-to-toe landing leather on each other for the whole three-minute period, with Mansour doing just enough to get the win.

Televised coverage opened with Chordale Booker (6-0, 3 Kos) na Brooklyn, New York getting a unanimous decision (59-55, 59-55, 58-56) over Moshea Aleem (4-1-1, 2 Kos) na Richmond, Virginia in a super welterweight bout.

The co-main event featured two-time welterweight world champion Kermit Cintron (39-5-3, 30 Kos) and David Grayton (15-1-1, 11 Kos) fighting to a technical majority draw after Cintron was deemed unable to continue due to a cut over his right eye.

A zagaye biyar, Grayton floored Cintron with an overhand left. Later in the round, Grayton nailed Cintron with an unintentional headbutt to the right eye, which opened up the cut that led to the end of the bout. Action was stopped at 2:53 na zagaye biyar.

Here is what the fighters had to say following their bouts:

TRAVIS KAUFFMAN

I got robbed. It’s plain and simple. Shi ne mai kyau yi yãƙi,, but I thought I won by three rounds.

He landed a couple of shots, but I clearly outworked him. I thought I landed more and did enough to get the win.

AMIR MANSUUR

They thought I was old and would tire down the stretch, but I am mentally strong.

I give Travis (Kauffman) credit. He stood in there with me tonight. But as I waited for the scores, I knew I won the fight. These were honorable judges.

“Ina son (Deontay) Wilder next. I am 44-years-old. I want my shot. They should give me my shot and try to get me out of the way.

KERMIT CINTRON

“An lashe yaki. Then he started to apply pressure and he caught me when I was off balance.

He kept coming in with his head, and he finally caught me good with it. I was fine and wanted to continue, but the doctor decided to stop the fight.

DAVID GRAYTON

I won that fight. I think he could have continued.

I was in control of the fight, but I was in his hometown, and you know how that goes.

CHORDALE BOOKER

“Shi ne mai kyau yi yãƙi,. I needed this fight to see where I am. And I wanted to fight another undefeated fighter. It was a step up on national television.

I give myself a B- for my performance tonight. My movement was good, but I did not sit down on my power enough. It was a good learning experience though. I could not ask for a better platform to perform on.

MOSHEA ALEEM

I did not do enough. I waited too long to throw my punches and he outworked me.

The heavyweight brawlers Kauffman and Mansour will look to go through each other on their way to the top of the division. Here is what the fighters and their trainers had to say Alhamis a Karatun:
TRAVIS KAUFFMAN
This is a fight that has been building for a while. There will be fireworks in the ring a ranar Jumma'a dare.
I accepted this fight because of the caliber of fighter that Amir is. Come fight night, it is going to be a war.
I made a lot of sacrifices for this fight. We have prepared for the best Mansour to show up in the ring. I can’t fall asleep for five seconds in this fight or else I can get stopped. I think that Amir is one of the most feared and avoided heavyweights in the world.
AMIR MANSUUR
I got myself a bottle of anti-aging juice. I’m ready for this fight and excited to give the fans another show.
“Ina son dambe. I don’t fight bums. I love to make sparks fly every time I step in there. Everyone knows what they’re going to see a ranar Jumma'a dare.
This is a great opportunity for me as I continue my quest for the heavyweight championship of the world. Travis is a tough guy, and he has a scientist in his corner, but it won’t be enough a ranar Jumma'a.
NAAZIM RICHARDSON, Kauffman’s Trainer
Mansour is one worddangerous. He is dangerous at all times.
This is not a comfortable fight. You have to be prepared to deal with a man like Mansour. We put together a plan to negate his attributes.
I am trying to fine tune Travisweapons. The Arreola fight opened eyes, this fight will open doors.

DANNY DAVIS, Mansour’s Trainer

Amir and Travis have sparred each other in the past and those sessions were very exciting and I’m expecting that same type of action in the ring a ranar Jumma'a dare.

This is going to be a great heavyweight brawl. These styles are going to clash for something great for the fans.

READING, PA (Maris 14, 2017) -Matakin matsakaicin nauyi Travis “Ta Time” Kauffman (31-1, 23 Kos) has been training hard for his showdown with Amir “Hardcore” Mansour (22-2-1, 16 Kos) that will headline Premier dambe gasar zakarun: Da Next Zagaye on BounceJumma'a, Maris 17 from Santander Arena in Reading, PA.

Televised coverage on Bounce begins at 9 p.m. DA/6 p.m. Santa

Kauffman trained in Houston, Texas with famed trainer Naazim Richardson, and is ready for the hard punching Mansour.

Evertything is great. I was in Houston starting on December 20th and I came home on March 5th,” ya ce Kauffman.
I have been motivated knowing that I have a killer in front of me. Amir wants what I want, and that is a shot at the Heavyweight title.
Kauffman has sacrificed a whole lot for this fight, as he missed important family moments in order to give himself the best opportunity to put his family in the best situation in the long run.
I missed the holidays with my family. I also missed my sons birthday. I have never done that before. This has motivated me, and gives me such a mental edge and a bigger purpose for this fight.
Being that Kauffman and Mansour (who has trained a majority of his career in Philadelphia) are only geographically separated by an hour, Kauffman knew this fight was bound to happen, and always visualized a fight with Mansour.
I have always been confident that I could beat him. I was down in Texas working hard, and now I am in better shape, but I know when I win it will get me to the next level.

That next level would be a shot at one of the heavyweight champions, and just on February 25th, WBC Heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder took out Gerald Washington in 5 akai-akai, for which many thought the champion showed some flaws, which Kauffman thinks he could exploit more should that match up occur.

I watched the Wilder fight. I did expect Washington to present some problems for him, But Washington doesn’t have the experience. Deontay can punch, but Gerald showed that Deontay can be beat. He showed that Deontay is the most amateurish Heavyweight champion ever, but you have to give the man credit, he is 38-0 tare da 37 knockouts. He can punch and has a beautiful jab.
But before a fight with Wilder or one of the other beltholders, Kauffman knows he has a tough task in front of him in Mansour.
This fight will put me in the top-five. I just want to win this and fight one of the champions. I don’t care who I fight. I been working so hard in this fight so expect a better Travis Kauffman.
