Fenômeno superleve imbatível DEVIN “O SONHO” HANEY Training Camp Quotes and Photos

Photos by Mario Serrano Team Haney
LAS VEGAS, NV (Outubro 30, 2017)As his November 4th date approaches, unbeaten super-lightweight prospect, 18-year old phenom, Devin “O sonho” Haney (17-0, 11 KOs), shares his thoughts on training camp and more, as he prepares for his fight withHamza Sempewo (14-8, 7 KOs) de Kampala, Uganda.
Haney vs. Sempewo, um ataque 8-redonda, will take place at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis Hotel in Atlanta, GA, and serve as the co-main event to heavyweight’s, Devin “O general” Vargas (19-4, 7 KOs) de Toledo, Ohio, vs. Galen “Menino mau” Marrom (44-38-1, 25 KOs) de St. Joseph's, Missouri.
Here is what Devin Haney, o WBC Youth World Lightweight title holder, had to say ahead of his November 4th confronto:
On his recent training camp in Las Vegas
I’m constantly grinding in the gym, trying to get better. No one is working harder than me. I’ve been working closely with The Body Snatcher” Mike McCallum, and he’s showing me some old veteran tricks. I’ve been sparring with all the top fighters in Las Vegas, getting that good work. I feel strong going into this fight. I’m in great shape.
On having his father William Haney guiding his career
My dad is great and he’s always by my side every step of the way. He comes from the music industry, where he was very successful, so he knows how to build a star. I’m very grateful to have him in my corner. Together we are a force in the boxing world, and I know with hard work, I’ll be the next super-star in boxing.
On the importance of staying active
It’s very important to stay active in boxing, because in this sport, its all about that live action. Fighting with no headgear and smaller gloves is a big difference as opposed to sparring. The more fights I can get under my belt, the better I’ll be when I hit the big stage.
On fighting in Atlanta, Georgia for the first time
Atlanta is a major city and I’m going to give the fans in attendance a fight they’ll remember for years to come. Fighting in the South is a great opportunity to expand the Devin Haney Promotions brand. I want to fight in as many big cities as possible.
On the state of the super-lightweight division
The super-lightweight division is stacked with a lot of great fighters. Terrance Crawfordsits atop the division, e para mim, he’s one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world. I’m on my way up and I’m confident in my ability to become a world champion. I’ve been in the ring with Floyd Mayweather, Shawn Porter and a lot of other great fighters, so my confidence is extremely high. I’m gunning for everyone in the division. I know I can get down with the best of them.

Atlantic City, NJ (Outubro 10, 2017)–Em sábado à noite, November 18th, contendor welterweight Thomas “Cornflake” LaManna returns to the ring when he takes on Tomas Mendez in 10-round fight for LaManna’s WBC Silver Latino Welterweight title, bem como o LBF Intercontinental Welterweight title. The fight will headline a stacked night of boxing at The Claridge Hotel.
The show is promoted by Rising Promotions and Greg Cohen Promotions in association with Devin Haney Promotions and Winner Take All Productions.
This is our 10th show and we expect this to be the best turn out,” said Debbie LaManna, CEO of Rising Promotions. “With a stacked undercard, and my son getting to headline again, we can all expect a great night of boxing. I’m happy Thomas decided to stick with it, after more than 10 years and a lot of money spent, it would be foolish to stop now when he is right there. We are happy to be doing this show with Greg Cohen and we look forward to bigger and better things together in the future.
I am thrilled to be working with Rising Promotions This is a stacked from top to bottom. It is worthy of a ShoBox card,” disse Greg Cohen, President of Greg Cohen Promotions.. .”When you have a show with Thomas defending his title and fighters like Devin Haney, and fights such as Serrano against Enver Halili plus Skender Halili fighting Jeff Lentz, every fight is a TV worthy fight. We are really excited to bring this to The Claridge, and a great way to finish out the year in Atlantic City and happy that GCP is a co-promoter on the show.
LaManna de Millville, New Jersey will be making the 1st defense of the WBC Silver Latino title that he won on August 19th when he scored two knockdowns en-route to a ten round unanimous decision over George Sosa at The Claridge Hotel in Atlantic City.

“Estou de volta! I couldn’t stay away for long. I have a huge chip on my shoulder with no promoter, no more financial backing, just me and my mother. We have mart strategic planning, and a Dream. I feel I have a lot left and I’ll be knocking on doors in 2018. Para mim, Mendez is dangerous because you never know what he will bring. I’ve always said records don’t mean anything to me. We’ll see on November 18 what he brings and like I always say, I make my adjustments and do what I have to do to win.

As for this card, I feel it’s the best one we at Rising Promotions have put together. Raymond Serrano and Enver Halili is a solid cross roads fight, and I’m glad we got it done. I’m excited to have Devin Haney on the show, and Tommy Rainone’s go away fight is special. Expect another sell out. LAS VEGAS, NV (Setembro 25, 2017)Last Friday at the SugarHouse Casino, na Filadélfia, PA, undefeated super-lightweight prospect, 18-sensação de um ano Devin “O sonho” Haney, melhorou a (17-0, 11 KOs) with a unanimous decision victory against Enrique Tinoco (16-5-3, 12 KOs) de México.
Tinoco, known for being a rugged fighter, was no match for Haney as he dominated from start to finish. Devin used his superior boxing skills to outclass Tinoco, working off angels, while landing his punches at will. Na quarta rodada, Haney hurt Tinoco with a vicious straight right-cross, putting the Mexican native on wobbly legs, prompting a 10-8 round on one of the judges’ scorecards. Tinoco managed to survive to the final bell, but took a beating along the way. Final scorecards read 80-71, 80-72 duas vezes.
Tinoco was a very durable opponent who’s been in the ring with some notable fighters,” disse Devin Haney. “I knew if I stuck to my game plan, everything would work out. I’m only 18-years old, but I feel like a polished pro. With every fight, I’m learning something new. I just want to be the best possible fighter I can be. All the hard work is paying off.
Com a vitória, Haney, who currently holds the WBC Youth World Lightweight Title, has plans to get right back in the ring. Devin has already fought six times this year.
My goal is to fight three more times in 2017,” disse Devin Haney. “Last year I had nine fights, and I want to stay on that pace to close out the year. The team I have behind me is amazing. My father William and everyone he’s put on the team, their all doing a fantastic job guiding my career. I’m truly blessed to be where I’m at this stage of my life. I’m marching forward with the goal to become a world champion. I’m a hungry fighter, and I won’t be denied.

LAS VEGAS (Maio 21, 2016) – Determined Phoenix middleweight Andrew “Furacão” Hernandez shocked heavy favorite Arif “The Pedator” Magomedov in tonight’s main event on the “Knockout Night at the D” cartão, which aired live on CBS Sports Network from under the neon lights at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center (DLVEC) outdoor venue.
O “Knockout Night at the D” série, apresentado por o D Las Vegasand DLVEC, é promovida pela Roy Jones Jr. (RJJ) Boxing Promotions. Tonight’s event was promoted in association with Main Events and Shamo Boxing Promotions.
Before a sold-out crowd, Hernandez (12-4-1, 4 KOs) pounded world-rated middleweight Magomedov (17-1, 10 KOs), winning a unanimous 10-round decision (100-89 duas vezes, 98-91) for the vacant USNBC middleweight title. Hernandez hurt Magomedov in the third and seventh rounds, finally dropping the tough Russian (WBA #2, WB) #3, WBA #5 e IBF #14) no 10th.
This fight changes everything for me,” Hernandez proclaimed. “He’s very good and deserves all of the accolades he’s received but I now have my head on straight and I’m focused. My jab was very important tonight. He’s very strong but I wanted to fight him inside because I knew he couldn’t take it from me. Eu estava muito preparado. I think I may have broken my ankle in the fourth round but I kept going. I wanted to finish him, get the knockout, but he’s a very tough fighter. He has heart and showed why he has all of those accolades.
Four weeks ago, Hernandez was preparing to fight as a cruiserweight. He lost 40 pounds to make weight for this middleweight fight in what turned out to be one of the biggest upsets of the year.

Southpaw super welterweights Banheiro “The Phenom” Vera (14-0, 9 KOs), de Fort Worth, and PhoenixJoey “Boxer” Ruelas (10-2-1, 4 KOs) went toe-to-toe from the opening bell and they never let up in the co-feature. Vera exploded in the round of this firestorm, battering the game Ruelas around, until referee Jay Nady halted the action in the sixth round. Vera remained undefeated and retained his NABA-USA title.
I knew eventually he’d put his hands down and I’d catch him,” Vera explained. “I thank him for the opportunity to fight. He’s helluva fighter, I give him that, but I know I’m a warrior. I took some shots but gave ’em, muito. I broke him down and just kept throwing those lefts.

Nady stopped the fight without counting when a badly hurt Vargas (4-1, 3 KOs) hit the deck hard.
I happy that I put on a good performance for my fans,” Haney commented after the fight. “My team put together the strategy to use my jab and breakdown his body. I picked up my combinations did what I was told to do.

Two mores seconds and I would have finished him off in the first,” Lopez remarked. “My corner told me that, after the lefts, come back with a right. They gave me the game plan and I executed.

Na luta de abertura, Las Vegas favorite Jeremy J-FlashNichols (4-0, 2 KOs) dominated Puerto Rican welterweight Julho “El Indio” Santos (2-3, 1 KO) on his way to a win by unanimous 4-round decision.
