LEWISTON, Мејн (Октомври 21, 2016) – Нова Англија бори (NEF) presents its next mixed-martial-arts event, “NEF 26: SUPREMACY,” во саботата, Ноември 19 at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee. Much has been made of the fact that Sanders and Lemke are former teammates. Gulliver has been on a path of destruction, ripping through three opponents in a combined two minutes.

 

Two women’s fights are on tap for “NEF 26.” Jessica “The Black Widow” Borga (2-2) returns from Florida to meet Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt Brianne Genschel (0-0). Genschel’s First Class MMA teammate “Холивуд” Хана Sparrell (1-1) will also be in action against Фернанда Araujo (4-4-2).

 

Jay Jack and Amanda Buckner’s The Academy in Portland, Maine will send two new fighters to the cage at “NEF 26.” Chad Pierce (0-0) will debut against Shatterproof’s Lyman Curtis (0-0), а Phil Chiasson (0-0) ги исполнува Rik Seymour (0-0) of 3Ronin Athletics. SHATTERPROOF AND RUTHLESS IN MAINE TURF WAR AT NEF 26

PROFESSIONAL FEATHERWEIGHT BOUT ADDED TO NEF MMA CARD

Lacey, the former NEF MMA Amateur Featherweight Champion, recently signed a multi-fight developmental deal with the fight promotion. He amassed an amateur record of 6-1 prior to turning professional. The HYCC was at capacity for the first sanctioned mixed-martial-arts (МЛД) show ever held on Cape Cod. The venue opened the upstairs walking track to give standing-room-only fans more elbow room. The crowd was electric all night for the eight-fight card presented by NEF.

 

Team Juniko, based out of Hyannis and Hanover, Масачусетс, was a perfect 5-0 on the night. Fabian Miranda (3-0), Thomas Lee Davis, Џуниор. (2-0), Ed Forlenza (1-0), и Kylie O’Hearn (1-0) all picked up wins for the team on the amateur portion of the card.

 

It was O’Hearn’s bout with Ангела Јанг (1-2) of Young’s MMA in Bangor, Maine that will be remembered for years to come by all in attendance. The two women battled back and forth for three grueling rounds before O’Hearn was declared the winner by unanimous decision on the judges’ scorecards. The fight will be a serious contender for “Борба на годината” in the northeast by the time 2016 comes to an end.

 

Team Juniko member Brendan Battles (1-0) was victorious in the main event of the evening via technical knockout over Мајк Хансен (4-4). NEF CAGES THE CAPE ON MAY 14 WITH THRILLING FIGHT CARD

Hyannis, Масачусетс (Мај 6, 2016) – It will be no day at the beach, but they might just leave some blood on the sand. Нова Англија бори (NEF) plans to storm Cape Cod on Сабота, Мај 14, 2016 with the first-ever mixed-martial-arts (МЛД) event to be held on the popular tourist destination. The northeast’s top regional fight promotion will pack up its cage in one week and make the 200-mile trek south from NEF’s base of operations in Lewiston, Maine to the Hyannis Youth & Community Center (HYCC).

 

The attention the event has received has been staggering. “The Cape Cod community has welcomed us with open arms,” NEF рече ко-сопственик и промотор Ник DiSalvo. “The HYCC is a great venue with an awesome staff. Patti Lloyd at the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce has been a huge help in making this event happen as well. The card is stacked with world class wrestlers and martial artists from Maine, Cape Cod and Massachusetts’ South Shore. Hyannis-based Team Juniko will be prominently featured in no less than six of the evening’s bouts.

 

Brendan “Lock Down” Battles (0-0) of Juniko is scheduled to make his professional MMA debut in the heavyweight main event, locking horns with Мајк “Мустаќи” Хансен (4-3). Battles was a three-time All American wrestler out of nearby Nauset Regional High School where he won two state championships and three New England championships. “It was a short notice fight that NEF asked for, and I know Derek wanted a rematch,” рече Denning. “After I beat him again, I’ll prove it wasn’t a fluke. I wanted this fight so I could get some new fans in Massachusetts and show my skills. I have had two losses in a row to great guys and want to get back in the win column.”

The fight will take place at the middleweight limit of 185-pounds.

 

The amateur headliner will see Дастин Veinott (4-4) in a flyweight showdown with Рајан “Razzle Dazzle” Kane (4-3). Veinott is the former NEF MMA Amateur Flyweight Champion. He dropped the title in a very close split decision loss to Ryan Burgess (2-0) во ноември минатата година. Forlenza is a 2004 graduate of Nauset Regional High School where he was a standout on the wrestling team. Johanson’s opponent pulled out of their bout on fight day two weeks ago at “NEF 22.” Not one to let a good fight camp go to waste, Johanson agreed to take the fight with Forlenza in Hyannis.

 

In another 160-pound catchweight bout, Стив Бенг (3-4) носи на Fabian Miranda (2-0). Bang is a member of the famous father-sons fighting family of Auburn, Мејн. Miranda represents Team Juniko and will look to add to his undefeated record in the fight with Bang.

NEW CHAMPIONS CROWNED AT NEF 22 ВО LEWISTON

On the boxing portion of the card, Брендон “Топови” Бери (11-1-1) fought to a majority draw in a six-round contest with James Lester (10-9-1). Many of Berry’s supporters in attendance felt that he won the fight, but two of the judges had it even on the scorecards.

 

The headliner of the amateur MMA card saw Калеб сала (7-3) captured the vacant amateur featherweight title with a second-round submission of Erik Nelson (2-3). The fight card is scheduled to feature three professional boxing matches, six professional MMA bouts, and twelve exciting amateur MMA contests.

 

On the professional boxing side of the card, Northeast Junior Welterweight Champion, and the pride of West Forks, Мејн, Брендон “Топови” Бери(11-1, 7 КО) returns to the ring for a six-rounder with Detroit, Michigan’s James Lester (10-9, 4 КО). Бери, one of the most popular boxers to ever come out of Maine, will look for his fourth consecutive victory since returning from a shoulder injury last year.

 

That will prove easier said than done with Lester standing in the opposite corner. Neither athlete can afford to overlook the other, but a win for either could very well mean a call from one of the national promotions. Erickson has been there before with Bellator. Powell is an all-around talent with some slick finishes to his credit.

Aaron Lacey leaves behind a legacy of victory in the amateur ranks. He put together an impressive record of 6-1 since his debut in the fall of 2012. Lacey capped off his amateur stint by winning the inaugural NEF MMA Amateur Featherweight Championship last November, handing Caleb Horner (4-1) the first loss of his career in the process. Lacey is currently the number-one ranked amateur featherweight in the northeast. Part of what has made me successful is that I always keep looking forward for my next big challenge and my coaches along with myself believe that those challenges are within the professional ranks.”

 

After getting off to a 3-2 start in his professional career, Derek Shorey is looking to bounce back from a three-fight skid. Last September, Shorey scored a career-defining, highlight-reel knockout of Tollison Lewis (0-5), but would go on to taste defeat in his next three matchups. А 1998 Class-C Maine state wrestling champion for Foxcroft Academy, Shorey is the founder and head coach of the Shatterproof Combat Club based out of Dexter, Мејн. He served his country in the United States Navy for four years of active duty and did a tour of Iraq with SEABEE Battalion NMCB 27. BOYINGTON RETAINS, THREE NEW CHAMPIONS CROWNED AT NEF 21

The Colisée was a packed house for the promotion’s second hybrid mixed-martial-arts (МЛД) and professional boxing event. Fight fans were treated to a marathon evening of nonstop action featuring 26 bouts in total.

 

In the MMA main event of the evening, in what can only be described as a “thriller,” Брус “Убави момче” Boyington (13-8) defeated Jon Lemke (5-4) via split decision to retain the NEF MMA Professional Lightweight Title. Boyington and Lemke battled back-and-forth for five brutal rounds in what many in attendance were calling one of the best fights in NEF history.

 

In the boxing headliner, Northeast Junior Welterweight Champion Brandon “Топови” Бери (11-1) handed Tollison Lewis the first loss of his professional boxing career (2-1) with a second-round stoppage via technical knockout (СЗО).
