Lewiston, Maine (Octubre 21, 2016) – Luchas de Nueva Inglaterra (NEF) presenta su próximo evento de artes marciales mixtas, “NEF 26: SUPREMACÍA,” en sábado, Noviembre 19 en el Androscoggin Banco Colisee. En el evento principal, “La” Ryan Sanders (10-8) se reunirá Jon Lemke (5-6) en una pelea de peso ligero profesional. Será Sanders’ primera pelea en Lewiston desde noviembre 2014. SHATTERPROOF AND RUTHLESS IN MAINE TURF WAR AT NEF 26

Parker is the head of Ruthless MMA & Boxeo basado en Benton, Maine. A regular in the NEF MMA cage during the early days of the promotion, Parker has spent the last several years competing in the boxing ring. He battled Elias Leland to a draw last November in a boxing bout at “NEF XX.” Parker predicts a finish in his long-awaited return to cage competition.

PROFESSIONAL FEATHERWEIGHT BOUT ADDED TO NEF MMA CARD

Lewiston, Maine (Agosto 26, 2016) Luchas -Nueva Inglaterra (NEF) today announced the addition of a professional featherweight mixed-martial-arts (MMA) bout to the fight promotion’s next event, “NEF 25: HEROES & VILLANOS.” Aaron “Implacable” Lacey (2-0) ha firmado a cara Cory Trial (0-0) at the featherweight limit of 145-pounds.

 

Lacey, the former NEF MMA Amateur Featherweight Champion, recently signed a multi-fight developmental deal with the fight promotion. He amassed an amateur record of 6-1 prior to turning professional. Since entering the pro ranks, Lacey is undefeated. His pro debut saw him submit veteran Derek Shorey (3-7) in the first round last April. He is a member of the tough, gritty team of Ruthless MMA & Boxing based out of Benton, Maine.

NEF CAGES THE CAPE ON MAY 14 WITH THRILLING FIGHT CARD

Hyannis, Massachusetts (Mayo 6, 2016) – It will be no day at the beach, but they might just leave some blood on the sand. Luchas de Nueva Inglaterra (NEF) plans to storm Cape Cod on Sábado, Mayo 14, 2016 with the first-ever mixed-martial-arts (MMA) event to be held on the popular tourist destination. The northeast’s top regional fight promotion will pack up its cage in one week and make the 200-mile trek south from NEF’s base of operations in Lewiston, Maine to the Hyannis Youth & Community Center (HYCC).

 

The attention the event has received has been staggering. “The Cape Cod community has welcomed us with open arms,” dicho NEF co-propietario y promotor Nick DiSalvo. “The HYCC is a great venue with an awesome staff. Patti Lloyd at the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce has been a huge help in making this event happen as well. And we have some fantastic new sponsors on the Cape like Bodystrong Fitness who have helped us spread the word.”

 

En Efecto, the word has spread and ticket sales have been so strong, and demand so overwhelming, that the promotion had to order more chairs and tickets when cageside inventory sold out last week. “The fans were asking us to add some more cageside seats, so we happily accommodated them,” noted DiSalvo.

 

And fight fans in attendance will be treated to a night filled with wild cage action. The card is stacked with world class wrestlers and martial artists from Maine, Cape Cod and Massachusetts’ South Shore. Hyannis-based Team Juniko will be prominently featured in no less than six of the evening’s bouts.

 

Brendan “Bloqueo de Down” batallas (0-0) of Juniko is scheduled to make his professional MMA debut in the heavyweight main event, locking horns with Micro “El Bigote” Hansen (4-3). Battles was a three-time All American wrestler out of nearby Nauset Regional High School where he won two state championships and three New England championships. Era 2-0 as an amateur MMA fighter. Hansen has a wrestling pedigree of his own, having captured a state title for Mountain Valley High School in Rumford, Maine. Hansen is a ten-year-plus veteran of the MMA cage.

 

The co-main event of the evening will feature a rematch from “NEF 15” en noviembre 2014. “Inastillable 2.0” Derek Shorey (3-6) will look to avenge a loss to Mate “Ken Muñeca” Denning (2-2). Shorey’s supporters have claimed for the past year-and-a-half that Denning’s submission victory was a fluke and that Denning would not be able to defeat Shorey a second time should the pair ever meet again. Those claims will be put to the test in Hyannis in this lightweight rematch.

 

“It was a short notice fight that NEF asked for, and I know Derek wanted a rematch,” dijo Denning. “After I beat him again, I’ll prove it wasn’t a fluke. I wanted this fight so I could get some new fans in Massachusetts and show my skills. I have had two losses in a row to great guys and want to get back in the win column.”

 

“I thought I could beat him the first time, and he caught me with an armbar,” Shorey admitted. “This time I will leave that cage the victor.”

The fight will take place at the middleweight limit of 185-pounds.

 

The amateur headliner will see Dustin Veinott (4-4) in a flyweight showdown with Ryan “Razzle Dazzle” Kane (4-3). Veinott is the former NEF MMA Amateur Flyweight Champion. He dropped the title in a very close split decision loss to Ryan Burgess (2-0) en noviembre pasado. Kane, from Plymouth, Massachusetts, is a member of Team Juniko and an accomplished competitor in the ancient Greek martial art of Pankration.

 

A women’s fight will be prominently featured on the amateur card. Angela Young (1-1) está programado para enfrentar Kylie O'Hearn (0-0). Forlenza is a 2004 graduate of Nauset Regional High School where he was a standout on the wrestling team. Johanson’s opponent pulled out of their bout on fight day two weeks ago at “NEF 22.” Not one to let a good fight camp go to waste, Johanson agreed to take the fight with Forlenza in Hyannis.

 

In another 160-pound catchweight bout, Steve-Bang (3-4) adquiere Fabian Miranda (2-0). Bang is a member of the famous father-sons fighting family of Auburn, Maine. Miranda represents Team Juniko and will look to add to his undefeated record in the fight with Bang.

 

Rounding out the fight card is a 190-pound catchweight bout featuring Anthony Spira (0-1) y Thomas Lee Davis (1-0). Spires, an independent fighter from Maine, hopes to rebound from a loss in his debut last fall at “NEF XX.” Davis is a member of Team Juniko.

NEW CHAMPIONS CROWNED AT NEF 22 En Lewiston

Lewiston, Maine (Abril 23, 2016) - Luchas de Nueva Inglaterra (NEF), Número uno de la promoción de lucha regional de América, celebró su evento más reciente, “NEF 22: TODOS LOS CAMINOS CONDUCEN AQUÍ,” Sábado por la noche en el Androscoggin Bank Colisée en Lewiston, Maine. Más que 3,000 fight fans were on hand for the event, making it one of the largest crowds ever to witness an NEF event.

 

En la parte de boxeo de la tarjeta, Brandon “El Cañón” Berry (11-1-1) fought to a majority draw in a six-round contest with James Lester (10-9-1). Many of Berry’s supporters in attendance felt that he won the fight, but two of the judges had it even on the scorecards.

 

The headliner of the amateur MMA card saw Caleb Salón (7-3) captured the vacant amateur featherweight title with a second-round submission of Erik Nelson (2-3). On the professional side of the MMA card, Devin Powell (6-1) took home the lightweight championship by defeating Jesse Erickson (6-5) in the first round via technical knockout.

La cartelera contará con una mezcla de artes marciales mixtas- (MMA) y los combates de boxeo profesional. El día de hoy, NEF anunció la cartelera completa para el evento. La cartelera está programado para ofrecer tres combates de boxeo profesionales, seis peleas profesionales de MMA, y doce emocionante aficionados concursos de MMA.

 

Por el lado de boxeo profesional de la tarjeta, Welter junior noreste, y la soberbia de West Forks, Maine, Brandon “El Cañón” Berry(11-1, 7 KOs) regresa al ring para un seis asaltos con Detroit, Michigan James Lester (10-9, 4 KOs). Berry, uno de los más populares boxeadores que ha dado fuera de Maine, buscará su cuarta victoria consecutiva desde que regresó de una lesión en el hombro el año pasado.

El día de hoy, NEF announced the addition of a professional featherweight contest to the MMA portion of the “NEF 22” cartelera. Aaron “Implacable” Lacey (0-0) will make his professional debut against tough veteran “Inastillable 2.0” Derek Shorey(3-5) con un peso de pelea de 145 libras-.

 

Aaron Lacey leaves behind a legacy of victory in the amateur ranks. He put together an impressive record of 6-1 since his debut in the fall of 2012. Lacey capped off his amateur stint by winning the inaugural NEF MMA Amateur Featherweight Championship last November, handing Caleb Horner (4-1) the first loss of his career in the process. Lacey is currently the number-one ranked amateur featherweight in the northeast. Shorey is hoping to find his rhythm in the cage against Lacey at “NEF 22.”

 

“Aaron is an incredibly tough, resilient fighter,” noted Shorey. “He keeps coming at you, solid technique. Nothing but respect for him and his skills. BOYINGTON RETAINS, THREE NEW CHAMPIONS CROWNED AT NEF 21

Lewiston, Maine (Febrero 7, 2016) - Luchas de Nueva Inglaterra (NEF), Número uno de la promoción de lucha regional de América, celebró su evento más reciente, “NEF 21: LOS INMORTALES” Sábado noche en el Coliseo Banco Androscoggin en Lewiston, Maine. The Colisée was a packed house for the promotion’s second hybrid mixed-martial-arts (MMA) and professional boxing event. Fight fans were treated to a marathon evening of nonstop action featuring 26 bouts in total.

 

In the MMA main event of the evening, in what can only be described as a “thriller,” Bruce “Pretty Boy” Boyington (13-8) defeated Jon Lemke (5-4) via split decision to retain the NEF MMA Professional Lightweight Title. Boyington and Lemke battled back-and-forth for five brutal rounds in what many in attendance were calling one of the best fights in NEF history.

 

In the boxing headliner, Northeast Junior Welterweight Champion Brandon “El Cañón” Berry (11-1) handed Tollison Lewis the first loss of his professional boxing career (2-1) with a second-round stoppage via technical knockout (QUIEN).

 

On the amateur MMA portion of the card, three inaugural champions were crowned. Ryan Glover (3-1) took home the light heavyweight title after defeating Mike Williams (1-1), while Johnny Crafts (4-0) captured the bantamweight strap and Ricky Dexter (5-2) won the welterweight championship.

 

NEF also announced that its next event would take place on Abril 23, 2016, once again at the Androscoggin Bank Colisée in Lewiston.
