Valley Forge, PA (April 17, 2015)Tomorrow night, April 18, at the Valley Forge Casino Resort, King’s Promotions will present an outstanding night of boxing that will be headlined by an intriguing 8-round super middleweight bout between Phillip Jackson Benson and Darnell Boone.
But one of the featured attractions will see the continued growth of 18  year-old jr. lightweight Milton Santiago jr (9-0, 3 KO’s)
Santiago of Warminster, PA will take on Ray Velez (3-6-1, 1 KO) in  a bout scheduled for six-rounds.
“My training went well.  I trained hard and I sparred with undefeated 130-pounder Jason Sosa, welterweight contender Ray Robinson and undefeated lightweight Angel Ocasio,” said Santiago.
As most 18 year-olds, Santiago is a student.  The senior at William Tennant High School is also a student of his craft and did some research on his opponent.
“I know he is from New York.  He is a rough fighter and he looks to be my toughest opponent to date.  I know I have to be smart and fight my heart out.”
As most kids his age, Santiago knows that the most important aspect of his career that while he stays undefeated he has to continue his growth as a fighter.
“I have improved on sitting on my shots.  The thing I been working on most is defense and changing it to offense.  Slipping shots and setting up for counters.”
With each, Santiago, who is managed by Moz Gonzalez and Eddie Woods, gets closer to a goal of being a world champion.
“I think in the next 12 months, I want to be fighting for some regional titles and hopefully they will lead to the biggest opportunities.  I am looking for another seven fights in 2015.”
“I have always had a high confidence level.  I still get nerves here and there but that is common in all fighters.  But I always have a lot of confidence.  I just want to thank everyone who has supported me and I know I will have continued success.”

Valley Forge, PA (April 16, 2015)On Saturday night, April 18, at the Valley Forge Casino Resort, King’s Promotions will present an outstanding night of boxing that will be headlined by an intriguing 8-round super middleweight bout between Phillip Jackson Benson and Darnell Boone.
Benson of Brooklyn, New York has a record of 15-1 with 14 knockouts and has won twelve straight fights with eleven of those coming via the stoppage route.
“Everything is good.  It is the same old training camp for me,” said the 30 year-old Benson.
Boone of Atlanta, Georgia is known as one of the”toughest outs” in the sport and may have most deceiving record in boxing that reads 20-21-4 with nine knockouts.
“I know he has fought everybody and he sneaks up on prospects.  To me that doesn’t matter. All I do is fight.”
“He has lost 21 times and as soon as I figure him out, I will handle my business like I always do.  This is just another night for me.”
Benson turned professional since 2008 believes his career should be further along and he is ready for big opportunities.
“I Should be fighting 10 and 12 round fights.  I have been asking for those 10 and 12 round fights but they keep giving me these kinds of fights.”
 Benson knows that with a win on Saturday, he may get his wish as there will be opportunities in the Super Middleweight division.
“There are a lot of 168 pound fighters out there.  The way I look at it is that if you are not Andre Ward, then I don’t think to highly of any of them.  Right now the bigger names are ducking me but I know that I have to wait my time.
“All I do is just fight and this fight will be like my last 12 fights.  I will come out victorious and you can expect that.”

Valley Forge, PA (March 23, 2015)–On Saturday night, April 18, at the Valley Forge Casino Resort, King’s Promotions will present an outstanding night of boxing that will be headlined by an intriguing 8-round super middleweight bout between Phillip Jackson Benson and Darnell Boone.
Benson of Brooklyn, New York has a record of 15-1 with 14 knockouts and has won twelve straight fights with eleven of those coming via the stoppage route.
The 30 year-old turned professional in 2008 and he has wins over Julio Sanchez (3-0) & Alexander Santana (6-0).  He won the WBC FECARBOX Super Middleweight title with seventh round stoppage over Maxell Taylor (18-4-1).  He added the WBC US NBC Super Middleweight title with sixth round stoppage over Scott Sigmon (23-4).
Benson is coming off a seventh round stoppage over Michael Gbenga on October 8, 2014 in Biloxi, Mississippi.
Boone of Atlanta, Georgia is known as one of the”toughest outs” in the sport and may have most deceiving record in boxing that reads 20-21-4 with nine knockouts.
Boone has wins over Chris Archer (4-0), Ronald Johnson (6-0), Willie Lee (14-3), James Countryman (8-0), Rasheem Brown (17-2), James Johnson (7-0), Louis Turner (12-2), Calvin Green (20-3-1), future Light Heavyweight champion Adonis Stevenson (13-0) and Future world title challenger Willie Monroe Jr. (10-0).
His four draws are with Walid Smichit (8-1-1), Lajuan Simon (13-0-1), Lennox Allen (12-0) and Morgan Fitch (11-0).  Boone is also known as the man who dropped super middleweight champion Andre Ward for the only time in his career.

James also has stoppage wins over Colby Courter (4-1) and Wayne Martell (25-4-1).  James is coming off an eighth round stoppage over Cameron Kreal on November 1, 2014 in Chicago.
