NEW YORK - Ağustos 21, 2018 – Coming off the successful launch of its new season on Univision, with record ratings beating those of general market English language Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) properties, Combate Americas president Jacqueline Hernandez today announced the opening of La Jaula Studios, a new multi-platform content production studio created to serve the most digitally native, multiracial and multicultural generations that have ever existed—Hispanic Millennials and Generation Z.

The new studio will be led by Stan Jakubowicz, who was recently promoted to Chief Content Officer, and will be based in New York.

 

 

“Our mission with La Jaula Studios is to tell the bold, untold and unfiltered stories of the real-life heroism behind Combate’s fighters and their communities,” said Hernandez. “Stan’s proven creative expertise and uncontainable passion for this sport make him a perfect fit to lead La Jaula.”

 

Jakubowicz is a creative executive with nearly 20 years of experience producing multi-platform content for television, digital and film. He has produced box office hits such as La Mujer de Mi Hermano, and co-produced the critically acclaimed The German Doctor, an Oscar and Golden Globes official submission for Best Foreign Film in 2014.

 

Jakubowicz also co-produced Visitantes, a horror film featuring Mexican superstar, Kate del Castillo, and served as an associate producer for the film El Inca, a Venezuelan boxing drama that earned him a second official submission in the Foreign Film category for the Academy Awards.

As an Emmy-nominated TV Executive Producer, Jakubowicz has produced for the world’s leading media companies such as Disney, Comcast, Sony, Univision, NBC Universal and Fremantle Media.

 

 

La Jaula Studios will produce authentic content in Spanish, English and Portuguese that complements Combate Americas’ programming. Production will take place around the globe, including Latin America, Brezilya, İspanya, Portugal and the U.S.

 

La Jaula Studios will offer a variety of programming, including lifestyle-documentaries to scripted series, feature films, short-form digital, social and mobile content – and customized, sponsor-branded interstitials that will air during highly-watched Combate Americas’ live Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) television and digital events. NEW YORK– Nisan 26, 2018– Combate Americas today announced ratings for its first two live, 2018 olaylar – “Combate Estrellas I” and “Combate Estrellas II” – which also marked the historic, first-ever live Univision and Univision Deportes Network (UDN) televised Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) olaylar, Cuma günü, Nisan 13 ve Cuma, Nisan 20, sırasıyla.

The Facebook LIVE stream of the “Combate Estrellas I” preliminary bout card, which immediately preceded the 90-minute live television airing of the main card, delivered over 294,000 streams.

 

“The amazing growth of our TV ratings confirms we are the hottest MMA promotion in the world,” said Combate Americas CEO Campbell McLaren.

 

Airing exclusively on UDN in the midnight ET slot the following Friday, Nisan 20, “Combate Estrellas II” delivered another 200,000 total viewers, bir 10 percent increase from the first installment of the two-part, “Combate Estrellas” live event series.

Of the total UDN viewers for “Combate Estrellas II," 67 percent were in the 18-49 age group.

 

The Facebook LIVE stream of the “Combate Estrellas II” preliminary bout card garnered over 630,000 streams, more than doubling the online audience from one week earlier.

 

Like Combate Americas, advertisers also emerged victorious from the record-ratings.

The bantamweight (135 kilo) main event of “Combate Estrellas I” at The Shrine in Los Angeles, Halife. saw Jose “Pochito” Alday (11-3) of Mexico edge out a split decision over superstar John “Sexi Mexi” Castaneda (16-4) of the U.S., while the flyweight (125 kilo) co-main event featured the MMA debut of five-division world boxing champion Amanda “The Real Deal” Serrano (0-0-1) kim, representing Puerto Rico, valiantly fought Corina Herrera (3-4-1) of the U.S. to a draw.

 

In the first live televised fight of the night, ferocious, tüy siklet (145 kilo) rising star Jose “Froggy” Estrada (5-1) of the U.S. score a second round (1:43) DSÖ (knees and punches) on “Ruthless” Rudy Morales (5-6) of Guatemala.

In the bantamweight main event of “Combate Estrellas II” at Gimnasio Nuevo Leon in Monterrey, Meksika, world-ranked superstar and Monterrey native Erik “Goyito” Perez (18-6) avenged a previous defeat at the hands of David “D.J.” Fuentes (13-10) of McAllen, Teksas, U.S., scoring a third round (1:22) KO (yumruklar) on Fuentes while, in the bantamweight co-main event, Marcelo “Pitbull” Rojo (14-5) of Cordoba, Argentina decimated Fabian Galvan (8-3) of Monterrey via first round (2:34) nakavt (yumruk).

 

Leading off the live telecast, 20-year-old sensation Melissa “Super Melly” Martinez (4-0) extended her unbeaten run by earning a dominant, unanimous decision over Ivanna Martinenghi (4-2) Buenos Aires, Arjantin.

In the women’s flyweight (125 kilo) ko-ana olay, five-division world boxing champion Amanda “The Real Deal” Serrano (0-0), representing Puerto Rico, will battle a new opponent in veteran Corina Herrera (3-4) of the U.S., after Serrano’s original opponent, Erendira “Aketzaly” Ordonez of Mexico was unable to secure a work visa for the commitment.
