The Douglas loss has prepared me for this. Being a headline fighter on television. We will be seen by more people being on CBS Sports Network. I am five fights more mature since my loss. I have been fighting solid competition and I have been more active.

What in those five fights has helped you prepare for this fight?
None of those guys are comparable to Dusty, but I fought guys with different styles and went some rounds with them when people may have questioned my stamina. I fought a rugged guy in Ayi Bruce and a crafty southpaw in Ariel Vasquez. Those guys aren’t killers, but I was getting work in.

What things have you fixed since the loss to Douglas? Did you feel you were overmatched in the fight?

It opened my eyes and it showed me that I needed to fix stuff. My diet and daily living. I was overmatched in maybe size, but I really felt going into that fight that I would beat him.
What are you doing different?
My diet and other things I do when I am not training. I was a middleweight because I was too lazy to drop down in weight. I have made a lot of adjustments.

You started out at middleweight, but you have eased your way down to welterweight. How difficult has that been and what type of advantage does this play into the Bulan September 15pertarungan?

I was always a big middleweight, but strength-wise I wasn’t. Now at welterweight, I am more explosive, lebih cepat, more experienced and now I can dictate the action. I am thankful for that. I know I would have had to get involved in the promotional aspect and some of the stuff leading up to the fight. To me it doesn’t matter where the fight is. Philadelphia is a neutral ground. As long as there is a ring, it doesn’t matter where it takes place

Why this fight right now?

‘Bravo’ Brant Stops Fitzpatrick in Three, Continues March to Middleweight Title Shot
Current WBO NABO and WBA NABA Middleweight Champion and WBA #4- and WBO #7-rated middleweight Rob “Bagus” Brant (21-0, 14 Biaya) of Saint Paul, Minnesota, kept his momentum plowing forward and continued to impress tonight with a one-sided beatdown of Chris “The Irish Ghost” Fitzpatrick (15-5, 6 Biaya) dari Cleveland.

O’Quinn did a little more in the final two rounds, but credit the California judges for not playing home favorites. The scores, met with booing, adalah 39-37 seluruh papan.

25-year-old Brant has already won two fights this year. The determined lightweight controlled the pace and consistently beat hometown favorite Gutierrez to the punch all night. Gutierrez, a tough Mexican who lives in Las Vegas, showed the heart of a champion, albeit in a losing effort to a fresher Brock.

“I think I put on a great performance,” Brock commented after the fight. “I came out to give my best effort. We trained to fight inside to fight Chuy, not box, to make him uncomfortable in a fight he’s not used to. I won this fight on the inside. No backing up for 10 putaran keras. We prepared that way because we knew Chuy was going to come in throwing shots. But he’d never fought anybody of my caliber. I was looking to finish him but I didn’t want to get careless.”

BISA, Meksiko / LAS VEGAS (Bulan Juni 2, 2016) — Famed promoter Pepe Gomez has partnered with Neon Star Media to bring its monthly “Tinju Cancun” series to CBS Sports Network.
The first event, “Knockout’s On Fire,” akan berlangsung Sabtu ini malam (Bulan Juni 4) from Grand Oasis Cancun the Hotel Complex in Cancun, Meksiko. Cancun`s ONLY Ultimate All-Inclusive Entertainment Resort will play host to all events in the series.
