MONTREAL (Julij 23, 2016) – Undefeated No. 1 light težka bojevnik Eleider “Storm” Alvarez (19-0, 10 Kos) has found a solid boxer to face him on the Julij 29 kartice, featuring the WBC and lineal world light heavyweight title fight between defending champion Adonis “Superman” Stevenson (27-1, 22 Kos) in challenger Thomas Williams Jr. (20-1, 14 Kos), at the Videotron Centre. WBC Silver light heavyweight champion Alvarez will face New Zealand southpaw slugger Robert “The Butcher” Berridge (27-4-1, 21 Kos).
The Alvarez-Berridge co-feature, predvidoma 10 rounds at a 180-pound catch-weight, will air on Spike TV V Združenih državah Amerike. Named “The Butcher” because of his aggressive style and power, the 31-year-old Australian sputhpaw has won the several regional titles during his pro career including New Zealand (2013 in 2015), WBC Asia (2013), PABA (2013-2014) and WBO Oriental (2013-2014).

Irish Heavyweight Sensation Con Sheenan to fight July 28
Toronto, Ontario, Canada (Junij 15, 2016) – Six-time Irish amateur champion Cornelius “Con” Sheehan is set to make his Canadian debut against an opponent to be named Četrtek, Julij 28 at the Danforth Music Hall in Toronto, Ontario.

Since the victory, the 6’5 215 pound 27-year-old has been working hard in the gym and was recently in camp with heavyweight champion Tyson Fury. Sheenan, who had an incredible 203-18 amaterski rekord, won six Irish National Senior Division titles and captured 13 total championships. V 2008, he became the youngest ever heavyweight champion in Irish history at age 18.
“Con Sheenan is a hidden gem who will soon explode onto the heavyweight scene,” said Sheenan’s manager Gary Hyde of Nowhere2Hyde Management. “Con has an extensive amateur pedigree where he won multiple Irish national titles as well as a European Union title. He’s got a very fluid style but loves nothing more than going into the trenches, so he’s an extremely exciting fighter. In a few years, he’ll be right in the mix.”

This event is presented as part of the prestigious “Premier Boxing prvakov” (PBC) series, to be broadcast live in the United States, and on Canal Indigo in Canada.
Stevenson (27-1, 22 Kos), who established himself as one of the most powerful pound-for-pound fighters in the world, bo branil World Boxing Svet (WBC) and lineal light heavyweight (175 pound delitev) title for the seventh time, against the dangerous, WBC št. 9 Ocenjene Thomas “Top Dog” Williams (20-1, 14 Kos).
“I am very happy to get back in the ring for my next fight, which will be held July 29 in the superb Centre Videotron of Quebec, against Thomas Williams Jr.,” Stevenson je dejal,. I’m coming off the best performance of my career and I’m ready to make a change Julij 29 in terms of the holding title belt. Stevenson has never faced a puncher like me in the past.”

World Championship Boxing: The Next Generation Series Begins July 28 v Torontu

The series will feature up and coming fighters looking to get to the next level in the near future. Most of the boxers are from Canada but some will travel from various parts of the globe to showcase their skills.
»I’ve had the idea of doing this for awhile and am glad it’s officially coming to fruition,” said Lee Baxter. “Canada has many talented fighters hungry to make it to the next level. It also took me awhile to to find the right venue and I’m glad we found it at the Danforth Music Hall here in Tornoto because it’s a great place. V televizijskem prenosu je bilo prikazano tudi tekmovanje v šestih rundah v super velterski kategoriji med perspektivnim Jamontayem Clarkom (10-0, 6 Kos) iz Cincinnatija in mehiški bojevnik Edgar Ortega (16-6, 10 Kos). Igra Ortega je v prvem krogu šokirala šest čevljev in dva Clarka, ga s trdo desnico poslal na platno. Clark je med prvim in drugim prišel k sebi, nadzorovanje boja od takrat naprej. Kljub boju z devetimi dnevi’ Obvestilo, Ortega je ostal s Clarkom vseh šest rund, celo zvijanje gležnja v četrtem.
