Team Perrella Reflects on Commission Cancelling Ugas Fight
Fort Myers, FL (Avgust 10, 2016) – With his grueling training camp completed, undefeated welterweight rising star Bryant “Goodfella” Perrella was ready to fly to Verona, NY and enter the ring Petek evening for a nationally televised fight against 2008 Olympic Bronze Medalist Yordenis Ugas.

During Perrella’s Junij 4 second round knockout of David Grayton, he suffered a thumb injury. While receiving a standard post fight visit from Quebec Athletic Commission officials, they took note of the injury. When the Ugas fight was scheduled, Quebec’s notes on Perrella were sent to the Oneida Commission. In order to face Ugas, Perrella was told that he must receive approval from a doctor. The 27-year-old twice visited a hand specialist, receiving formal written clearance to fight August 12. Team Perrella submitted the paperwork to the Oneida Commission and were prepared to put on a show Petek Večer. Surprisingly, the commission refused to license him even with formal clearance.
»I’ve been involved in combat sports most of my adult life and thought I’d seen it all but this is without question a first,” said Perrella’s trainer Michael Nowling. “Bryant had a really good camp and we were both confident that this performance would get him to the next level but now we’ve got to wait for another fight date. This is extremely unfair because Bryant had medical clearance like they had requested but the commission inexplicably decided to cancel the bout on a few days notice. I’m looking forward to getting out next date and even with this mishap I’m still a believer that everything happens for a reason.”
Perrella, who was looking to go 15-0 and become the first man to stop the crafty Ugas, is disappointed but took the high road.

Perrella to battle Ugas August 12
Fort Myers, FL (Julij 15, 2016) – Unbeaten sensation Bryant “Goodfella” Perrella will look to take another step up the welterweight ladder when he meets 2008 Olympian Yordenis Ugas Friday, Avgust 12 at the Turning Stone Casino in Verona, NY.
The card is promoted by Kings Promotions and will be televised as part of Premier Boxing Champions’ ESPN Boxing series at 9 pm ET.
Living and fighting out of Fort Myers, FL, Perrella’s 14-0 s 13 wins by knockout and he’s stopped eight of his last 11 foes in less than three rounds. On Junij 4, Perrella captured the attention of the boxing world with a dominant second round knockout of previously unbeaten David Grayton. Following his victory, which came on the heels of Muhammad Ali’s passing, Perrella gave an Ali-eqsue interview where he expressed his desire to fight the best fighters at 147 funtov. Living and fighting out of Fort Myers, FL, Perrella burst onto the national scene by scoring a second round stoppage of previously unbeaten David Grayton Junij 4 na ESPN. Perrella back in training; excited for next Opportunity
Fort Myers, FL (Junij 22, 2016) – Welterweight rising star Bryant “Goodfella” Perrella has returned to the gym and is training in anticipation of his next bout.
Junij 4, Perrella destroyed previously unbeaten two time National Golden Gloves champion David Grayton on ESPN. Rather than go on vacation or celebrate his victory, Perrella immediately wanted to resume training. At the advice of his team, he took a short period of time off before getting back into the gym less than two weeks after his career best victory.
Even though he’s currently waiting to get the word on his next fight date, the 27-year-old Fort Myers native believes he’ll be in another televised bout in the coming months. Naturally, his immediate goal is to raise his record to 15-0 while continuing to fight his way into the upper echelon of the 147 pound delitev.
“I live, eat and sleep boxing,” said Perrella. “This is what I do for a living and I take my career seriously. Since I’m moving up and believe I’m ready to take a big step forward in the welterweight division, there’s no time to waste. I don’t have any vices and stay in shape year round. MONTREAL (Junij 4) – Medtem ko svet žaluje za izgubo Mohameda Alija, Sobota nočni Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) na ESPN in ESPN Deportes se je televizijska oddaja začela z a “Ceremonialni 10-count” v spomin na “Greatest” in se mu je še naprej poklonil v televizijski oddaji, ki jo je vodil dvoboj v poltežki kategoriji med močnim ruskim olimpijcem Artur Beterbiev proti Argentini Ezekiel Modern.
31-letni Beterbiev (10-0, 10 Kos), ki se bori iz Montreala, vrnil v ring po skoraj enoletnem premoru po operaciji rame. Zdaj sedem mesecev odstranjen iz postopka, Beterbiev je bil videti oster že na uvodnem zvonu, ko je učinkovito vrgel ravne desne roke in udarce v telo, da je začel dvoboj.

V televizijskem prenosu je bilo prikazano tudi tekmovanje v šestih rundah v super velterski kategoriji med perspektivnim Jamontayem Clarkom (10-0, 6 Kos) iz Cincinnatija in mehiški bojevnik Edgar Ortega (16-6, 10 Kos). Igra Ortega je v prvem krogu šokirala šest čevljev in dva Clarka, ga s trdo desnico poslal na platno. Clark je med prvim in drugim prišel k sebi, nadzorovanje boja od takrat naprej. Kljub boju z devetimi dnevi’ Obvestilo, Ortega je ostal s Clarkom vseh šest rund, celo zvijanje gležnja v četrtem. Perrella ready for breakthrough performance June 4
Fort Myers, FL (Maj 24, 2016) – Welterweight Bryant “Goodfella” Perrella of Fort Myers, FL faces his toughest foe to date when he challenges Washington, DC’s David “Day Day” Grayton Saturday, Junij 4.
The anticipated ten round match up between unbeaten southpaws takes place at the Bell Centre in Montreal as part of a Premier Boxing Champions card on ESPN.
Both Perrella, 13-0 (12 KO je), and Grayton, 14-0 (10 KO je), were heralded amateurs that have been dominant thus far in the paid ranks. As is typically the case when two noteworthy prospects meet, the winner moves a step closer to contention while the fighter who falls short often has to climb back up the mountain.
With Grayton undefeated in his own right and also very hungry to advance his career by emerging victorious, Perrella’s taken his training to new heights. The 27-year-old has traveled throughout the Sunshine State for quality sparring and is strengthening his body by doing regular aquatic training. This has helped him remove weight properly so there won’t be any surprises on the scale. To further assist, Perrella hired a private chef to ensure he’s refueling his body properly.
Skupni, Perrella’s team is confident about the match up against Grayton and believes the hard work in the gym is an integral part why Bryant will have his hand raised June 4.
»Camp has been great,” said Perrella’s trainer Michael Nowling. “Bryant is treating this camp like we’re preparing for a world title fight. Most importantly, he’s got a calm demeanor and clear head with no distractions whatsoever. He is not nervous about the fight or overly anxious. A lot of guys may feel overwhelmed since this a win in a fight like this likely gets the winner to the next level but not Bryant. He’s been a true professional in the gym since day one and seeing him kick it up a notch further solidifies my confidence that Junij 4 will be the night he puts the boxing world on notice.”
