BROOKLYN (Janvier 12, 2018) – Unbeaten middleweight contender and IBF No. 1 provocateur Sergey Derevyanchenko (11-0, 9 KOs, WSB: 23-1, 7 KOs) will enter the ring for an eight-round bout as part of an exciting undercard on Samedi, Janvier 20de Barclays Center, la maison de BROOKLYN BOXE®.

Additional action inside of the arena will see the brother of Lamont Peterson, une fois battus Anthony Peterson (37-1, 24 KOs), parement Luis Florez (23-7, 19 KOs) in a 10-round super lightweight matchup plus once-beaten welterweight Ivan Golub (13-1, 11 KOs) in an eight-round fight against Colombia’s Fidel Monterrosa (38-14-1, 30 KOs).
Undercard fights continue with undefeated 2016 Haïtienne olympique Richardson Hitchins(3-0, 1 KO) entering the ring for a four-round welterweight fight against Preston Wilson(4-2-1, 3 KOs), Philadelphie Dylan Prix (4-0, 4 KOs) competing in a four-round super flyweight bout against Nestor Ramos (7-7, 3 KOs) and welterweight prospect Keyshawn Williams (1-0, 1 KO) prenant Denis Okoth (1-0, 1 KO) in a four-round matchup.
Rounding out the night is a four-round showdown between unbeaten Desmond Jarmon and Dallas-native Charles Clark plus New Jersey’s Matthew Gonzalez in a six round middleweight fight against Alexander Serna.
A highly decorated amateur who represented his native Ukraine in the 2008 Jeux olympiques, Derevyanchenko now lives and trains in Brooklyn and most recently earned the top spot in the IBF rankings with an impressive 12e round stoppage over Tureano Johnson. The 32-year-old also defeated previously unbeaten Kemahl Russell in 2017 après son 2016 saw him earn a TKO victory over Mike Guy in March before stopping former champion Sam Soliman in the second round of a world title eliminator in July. The unbeaten fighter defeated a slew of experienced contenders in 2015 with wins over Elvin Ayala, Camp de terrain, Vladine Biosse and a third-round stoppage of Jessie Nicklow.
Derevyanchenko and Golub make it a pair of Ukrainian sluggers fighting out of Brooklyn who will compete on the undercard looking to put on impressive performances in their adopted hometown.

Lamont Peterson
“Je me sens bien. Je suis déjà près de poids. Je suis heureux et manger jusqu'à cinq fois par jour. Je me sens fort et je suis prêt pour ce combat.
“Je dois considérer cela comme vraiment juste un autre grand combat. Lorsque vous êtes en haut, vous essayez de ne pas faire trop de chaque combat. Nous savons ce qui est en jeu. Je sais que quand je garde simple, c'est quand je joue mieux.
“En ce moment, mon corps se sent mieux que jamais. Je suis à l'aise avec tout ce qui est passé dans le camp et je pense que vous pouvez le voir dans mon corps.
“Je me suis toujours entraîné dur depuis le premier jour je suis venu ici comme un enfant. Cela a été instillée en moi depuis un jeune âge et il m'a porté tout au long de ma carrière.
“Tout ce que je fais est pour D.C.. J'essaie d'obtenir autant de reconnaissance pour ce domaine, la meilleure façon que je peux. C'est ce que nous recherchons tous dans cette salle de gym. C'est la plus grande qui a été sur le calendrier pendant un certain temps et je suis prêt à ramener à la maison.
“Il devient plus facile et plus facile les plus de combats de championnat, je suis en. J'étais en forme pour tous, mais je certainement mettre plus de pression sur moi-même quand j'étais jeune. Je me suis amélioré à chaque fois et maintenant je me sens comme si je suis vraiment à l'endroit parfait dans ma carrière.”
ANTHONY PETERSON
“Je dois faire une déclaration. Je ne me sens jamais à l'aise avec une décision. Je pense que c'est une bonne chose parce que je dois être spécial sous les lumières.
“Tout le monde sait que j'aime aller au corps. Tu sais que je vais le faire travailler afin que vous puissiez regarder pour moi de briser mon adversaire sur le Janvier 20.
“J'ai été sparring avec une variété de combattants expérimentés au cours de la dernière année et ils me ont aidé même si je ne l'ai pas eu un combat. rouille anneau est mental. Il est à vous de mettre le travail.
“Je n'ai pas eu les combats que je veux, mais je vais toujours coller à mon jeu et le bâton à mon métier. Je sais que si je persévère, les choses vont pour moi.
“Je sais que j'aime ce sport. Je sais que finalement je serai un champion du monde. Je crois en mon avenir et je suis impatient de grands combats.
“Il est inspirant de regarder Lamont faire sa chose et réussir. Il va battre Errol Spence, même si les gens ne croient pas. Je pense qu'il va prendre soin des affaires.”
BARRY HUNTER, Entraîneur de Peterson
“Cela a été une mouture longue dans le camp pour ces gars-là. Quand je repense à combien de temps nous avons été sur ce voyage, Je suis très fier d'eux. Ils étaient 9 et 10 quand ils sont arrivés dans la salle de gym.
“Nous n'avons pas le monstre de poids pour faire face aux combats à mi-moyens. Lamont est un excellent endroit mentalement et physiquement. Je suis impatient à un combat explosif.
“Quand vous regardez la lutte Spence-Brook, tôt Brook a eu beaucoup de succès. À l'étirement Errol a imposé sa volonté et se brisa Brook vers le bas. Je sais bien Errol et je l'ai coaché. Il a une forte volonté. Il n'est pas grande dans une région, mais il est bon dans beaucoup de domaines. Ceci est un autre genre de gars qu'il fait face. Coeur est quelque chose Lamont est loin d'être à court de. Je pense que cela pourrait commencer tactique, puis se transformer en une guerre.
“Mon travail est d'aller là-bas avec une partie d'un plan, mais il est toujours sur les ajustements pour nous. Quelle que soit Errol apporte à la table, nous allons le découvrir et de mettre tout en mouvement.
“Cette dernière semaine, beaucoup de plan de jeu et le travail de préparation mentale. Beaucoup de combattants ne forment pas l'esprit. Vous devez former l'esprit encore plus que le corps. Nous devons être prêts pour tous les scénarios.
“Je pense que si Anthony va là-bas et fait son travail il y a quelques titres vacants à 140 livres et c'est une piste pour nous. Nous voulons une sangle autour de sa taille et nous ferons face tous pour l'obtenir.
“Lamont, avec Anthony, Gary Russell Jr., Jarrett Hurd et Gervonta Davis, ont été maintenant la boxe dans ce domaine depuis longtemps. Il serait énorme de porter cette maison de titre. Il y a beaucoup de jeunes Lamont Petersons dans ce domaine qui veulent atteindre ce niveau. Ce serait un phare de lumière qui brille vers le bas et montrant ces gens le chemin.”

“Tout le monde qui a vu me battre avant sait qu'il ne sera pas un combat ennuyeux. Même si elle est à sens unique, il va toujours être bourré d'action. Janvier 20 va être un combat formidable et je vais mettre une grande performance. Je prévois de dominer.
“Défendre mon titre à Brooklyn sera spécial. J'ai de la famille à New York aussi, alors cela signifie beaucoup que je serai en mesure de défendre au Barclays Center. New York est une ville de boxe afin qu'ils apprécient vraiment les champions et savent le sport.
“Je suis heureux de se battre un gars comme Lamont Peterson. Je ne me bats pas un combattant régulier sans nom. Il va faire ressortir le meilleur de moi parce qu'il est un vrai combattant. Il fait encore mieux toute l'expérience.
“La première place dans le sport est vraiment à gagner maintenant et je viens pour elle. Je ne se soucie pas que je dois faire face ou lorsque, Je vais être le dernier homme debout. Voilà pourquoi nous entrons dans ce sport. Je suis très confiant en moi-même.
“Lamont et moi ont un grand cœur et je pense que tout le monde sera en mesure de voir que dans l'anneau. Nous sommes tous les deux combattants intelligents afin qu'il pourrait y avoir un certain sentiment avant d'y aller nous. Mais je pense que ce soit un combat aérien.
“Cette communauté à Dallas est très important pour moi. Quand j'étais
de plus en plus ici il n'y avait pas les boxeurs professionnels d'ici que je pouvais regarder comme un modèle. Une fois que vous avez les ressources pour se donner, il est important de le faire. J'aime être dans la salle de gym et d'aider les gars vraiment jeunes et en leur donnant quelque chose à aspirer.”
DERRICK JAMES, Entraîneur de Spence
“Errol semble vraiment bon dans la formation. Il a une grande attention. Il est très orienté et détail tapa d'être la meilleure version de lui-même. La détermination de son visage me permet de savoir qu'il veut remuera ciel et terre et assurez-vous que tout va son chemin la nuit de combat. Nous gagnons le combat dans la salle de gym pas dans le ring.
“Errol doit garder cette mentalité d'entrer dans ce combat et au-delà, et il sait que. Gagner un titre est pas ce qu'il veut. Il veut être champion poids welter incontesté. Il est très orientée vers un but et je crois qu'il va atteindre cet objectif. Il ne prend pas non pour une réponse. Il va se pousser à la limite et d'atteindre ses objectifs.
“Lamont Peterson est beaucoup d'esprit et intelligent dans le ring. Il est un gars dur trop. Il apporte cette force mentale que vous avez besoin pour réussir. Nous devons être à venir dans ce combat 100 pour cent et se concentrer tout le temps. Si nous ne le faisons pas, on peut arriver à court.
“Je dois être la meilleure version de moi aussi. J'essaie de mieux en mieux chaque combat et chaque jour dans la salle de gym. Je sais que je dois être au-dessus de tout ce qui pourrait arriver. Barry Hunter est un dur, formateur intelligent qui apporte beaucoup à la table. Lamont a une grande équipe. C'est un plaisir et un honneur de les affronter dans le ring.”

Je l'ai fait face à beaucoup de gauchistes dans ma carrière et dans les amateurs. C'est aucun problème.
“Je pense que ce qui me fait le boxeur plus dangereux dans ce combat est d'avoir la hauteur que je fais et la puissance de frappe et la vitesse et l'état d'esprit aussi bien. Mon état d'esprit est que je ne vais pas là-bas pour jouer avec lui. Je suis prêt à détruire.
“Mes objectifs pour 2018 sont de capturer plus de titres et pour obtenir des épisodes d'unification. Nous avons eu quelques champions dans la catégorie de poids, mais il semble que personne ne soit prêt à se battre les autres champions. Nous sommes prêts à faire tout ce qu'il faut, combattre celui qui a les titres. Nous sommes prêts à capturer tous ces titres chaque fois que les autres gars sont prêts à vous inscrire pour les combats.”
JAVIER FORTUNA (33-1-1, 23 KOs) – L'ancien champion du monde des super poids plume
“Ma préparation pour ce combat va très bien. Je travaille en République Dominicaine, mais je suis revenu à Boston pour terminer ma formation. En ce moment, nous sommes à 75% et de fermeture sur 100%. Je serai complètement préparé quand il est temps de se battre. Ma préparation et ma stratégie me font le gars plus dangereux.
“Je vois cela comme aucun autre combat que j'ai eu avant, parce que chaque adversaire est différent. Tout le monde a son propre créneau à ce niveau, quelque chose qui fonctionne pour eux. Son créneau est qu'il est grand. Il utilise pour son avantage. Mais il n'y a rien que je ne peux surmonter. Je me suis battu les gars de grande taille avant.
“Je préfère mes adversaires pour être plus grand. Il joue dans ce que je suis capable de faire. Je ne l'ai jamais eu un problème avec plus grands adversaires. Cotto Abner (5-10) est l'un des grands gaillards que je me suis battu. Je me suis battu à Chicago et mis sur une grande performance. (Fortuna a marqué un 5e tour KO contre Cotto)
“Mon objectif pour 2018 est de lutter contre tous les meilleurs combattants d'élite dans ma classe de poids, et je suis en train de devenir mentionné comme l'un des meilleurs dans le sport. Je veux vraiment gagner un autre titre mondial dans une catégorie de poids différente. Ce serait le plus grand moment jusqu'à présent de ma carrière pour obtenir un autre titre mondial.”

“I know Marcus Browne is probably taking me lightly and thinks he will simply go through me. Je souhaite que ce soit le cas, parce que ça va être un choc pour lui, les fans et son équipe quand je prends sa place en ligne pour un titre. ADAM Kownacka (16-0, 13 KOs) – A l'origine de la Pologne & combats de Brooklyn
“Ce combat va être une autre étape pour devenir un champion. Je sais que je vais devoir travailler très dur et prouver que je continue à tirer parti de ma victoire contre Szpilka. De la vidéo, je l'ai vu sur Iago Kiladze (26-1, 18 KOs), il bouge beaucoup, donc je vais avoir besoin de couper l'anneau. Tout ce qu'il apporte à l'anneau, Je vais avoir une réponse.
“Trois années consécutives maintenant j'ai combattu en Janvier. J'aime à partir de l'année forte. Ma femme et moi ont commencé en fait une tradition de la “Kownacki Family Run” à minuit on New Year’s Eve. Depuis que je me prépare toujours pour un combat autour du Nouvel An, nous avons pensé que nous pourrions aussi bien avoir du plaisir pendant que nous travaillons. Si, nous aurons quelques amis sortir et courir quelques miles avec nous dans le quartier pendant les feux d'artifice. Il est amusant et aide à me préparer.
“En fin de compte, Je cherche à devenir le meilleur dans la division des poids lourds. L'objectif final pour cette année est de devenir un champion du monde. “You’re going to see the same Errol Spence that you’re used to. I can’t look ahead because I know how dangerous Lamont Peterson is. I’ve been in training camps with him and I know what he can do.
“I’ve seen too many fighters look down the road and get beat before they get to the big fight. I have to be 100 percent focused and hungry. I’m fully dedicated to this fight.
“Lamont can push me to even greater levels. I feel like he is a better fighter than Kell Brook and has even more heart than Kell Brook and he can bring out the best in me.
“I think it’s going to start out as a boxing match, but as we go on, it’s going to be a dog fight. We both have big hearts. I’ve never known Lamont to turn down any fight. Not a lot of people wanted to fight me. The big names shied away from me but Lamont stood up and said he’d fight me. Ça va être un dur combat.

“This is a world title fight and I’m thankful for that. I try not to make too much out of each fight. I just want to take it one fight at a time. I’ve done this for 13 years as a professional. All fights are the same. I’m going to go in there and take care of business.
“As a top fighter, you’re obligated to take what comes on the table. Regardless of who it is. Il boxe. It’s a sport and we’re competitors. We want to go in there and compete to see who’s the best. We’re going to treat it like business like we always do.

The 31-year-old Wilder (38-0, 37 KOs), the only reigning American heavyweight world champion, won his WBC title with a dominant 12-round unanimous decision over Bermane Stiverne on Jan. 17, 2015 -the birthday of legendary heavyweight champion Muhammad Ali.
Wilder, a Bronze Medal winner for the U.S. Olympic boxing team at the 2008 Beijing Games, has successfully defended the title five times. In his previous defense at Barclays Center, Wilder scored a memorable ninth-round knockout over Artur Szpilka back in Jan. 2016. In his most recent defense, Wilder, de Tuscaloosa, Ala. stopped Gerald Washington via fifth-round technical knockout before a hometown crowd at Legacy Arena in Birmingham on Février. 25.
The 38-year-old Ortiz (27-0, 23 KOs), of Camaguey, Cuba by way of Miami, Floride, will make his SHOWTIME and Barclays Center debut when he meets Wilder for his first title shot. The hard-hitting southpaw turned pro seven years ago after defecting from Cuba and has since been steadily climbing the heavyweight ladder. He cemented his standing in the division with victories over veteran contenders Bryant Jennings, Tony Thompson and Malik Scott and is the No. 1-ranked contender by the WBC.
If Ortiz wins, he will become the first Cuban born fighter to win a heavyweight world championship.

BROOKLYN (Juillet 30, 2017) – Champion du monde en trois divisions Mikey Garcia kept his undefeated record intact with a dominant 12-round performance against four-division world champion Adrien Broner dans l'événement principal de Showtime Championship Boxing, Saturday on SHOWTIME from Barclays Center, la maison de BROOKLYN BOXE®.
In what could be considered one of the best performances of his career, Garcia (37-0, 30 KO) won a unanimous decision by scores of 117-111 et 116-112 deux fois.

Garcia took the lead early on, showcasing fundamentally sound technique and backing Broner into the ropes midway through the second frame. A flurry of body shots put Broner in trouble in the second round. While Broner was able to stay on his feet, Garcia emerged with another round in his favor.
“I think I controlled the fight in the early rounds and I kept the activity up,” Garcia a déclaré. “Broner is a great fighter and he has great skills but I was the superior fighter ce soir.”
Garcia showed a combination of jabs, power punches and body shots all night long. He cornered Broner on the ropes with a huge left hook halfway through the third frame, and backed him in to the ropes again with 39 seconds remaining in the round. While Broner showed some movement in the fourth round and hit Garcia with a succession of 1-2 combinations, Garcia’s bodywork kept Broner at bay.
“It was part of the strategy to be a little busier in this fight than in the fights I have previously had,” Garcia a déclaré.
Broner (33-3, 24 KOs) looked to get back in the fight as he started the eighth round with a succession of sharp combinations, however his lack of consistency couldn’t withstand Garcia’s phenomenal body shots and overall punch output. Through eight rounds, Garcia had thrown a total of 500 poinçons, while Broner had just thrown 291.
“It was a good fight at the end of the day, I come to fight I come to win and I put my heart on the line,” Broner said. “But it was Tom & Jerry; I had to catch the mouse.”
Although Garcia had amassed an early lead from the first three-quarters of the fight, Broner continued to walk through heavy fire from Garcia in an attempt to connect with a big punch and change the tide of the fight. While he was able to ignite the crowd and land several big punches over the final three rounds, none of it proved to be enough to slow down Garcia.
“It was my timing, I’ve always said I have very good timing,” a déclaré Garcia. “It is underestimated when you are outside the ring but once you get inside the ring with me, I’m a step ahead.”
Invaincu Jermall Charlo (26-0, 20 KOs) made his debut at 160-pounds with a stoppage of Argentine contender Jorge Sebastian Heiland (29-5-2, 16 KOs) in the co-featured event of SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING. Heiland, de Buenos Aires, Argentine, had issues with his left leg after injuring his knee in the first round. His discomfort was clear in his awkward footwork and lack of power behind his punches. Referee Benjy Esteves had the doctor examine him twice throughout the fight, once before the third round and then again before the fourth.

Headlining the “SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING Prelims,” poids lourd Jarrell Miller (19-0-1, 17 KOs), de Brooklyn, N. Y., stopped former world title challenger Gerald Washington (18-2-1, 12 KOs) after eight-rounds.
Miller used his significant size advantage and effective power-punching to break down the former collegiate football player. Washington had some success early with his jab and body attack, but was not able to stay out of punching range of Miller
Washington surged in the sixth round with a series of power shots that staggered Miller, however the Brooklynite countered and further broke down Washington, who landed just 20% of his jabs overall.
Meunier, who landed almost half of his power punches, continued the onslaught in the seventh and eight rounds, and while Washington was able to stay on his feet, he took enough punishment that his corner called the fight after the eighth round.
“I definitely felt the ring rust,” dit Miller, who was making his third appearance on SHOWTIME. “Gerald was very tough. It was a very good fight that had me thinking. Mon pouvoir était là, but I couldn’t put it together the way I wanted to today.

After three rounds of damage, Clarkson’s corner stopped the bout and gave Taylor her first stateside win as a pro.
“It was a fantastic experience being my first time competing here in the U.S,” M. Taylor. “There were definitely some nerves before the fight. It was great to go in there and get a stoppage.
“I hope that I made some fans ce soir. I loved hearing the Irish fans in the crowd. I hope that there will be even more next time I fight here. The more fights I have here in the U.S. le meilleur.
“I thought I performed pretty well. I definitely got caught with a few silly shots. I could have been cleaner but overall it was a good performance. I felt good and strong. I’ll be ready to get back in there as soon as possible.”
Additional action saw former world champion Rau'shee Warren (15-2, 4 KOs) earn a unanimous decision victory over former champion McJoe Arroyo (17-2, 8 KOs) and became the mandatory challenger for the IBF Junior Bantamweight World Title.
Warren attacked the body throughout the bout and landed the cleaner, more effective punches over the 12-round contest. The judges concurred and gave him the decision by scores of 118-10 et 117-111 deux fois.
“I would give myself a B+ for that performance,” said Warren. “I wanted to make sure to use my jab and I felt like it really helped me win the fight.
“I feel really good at this weight. Now it’s time for me to go get a strap. I haven’t been at this weight since the Olympics. I want to get these titles and then go down to 112 pounds for another title. First I want to take care of Jerwin Ancajas.”

“I’m glad that the Garcia team took this fight as quickly as we did. I’ve been taking everything seriously in Colorado. I know Mikey will be ready too. Robert Garcia definitely has some confidence from beating me with Marcos Maidana. But Mikey is not Maidana.

“I just don’t feel like Mikey will be able to do anything to stop me from getting the victory. I’m sure he’s confident too. After I make it look easy, I want everyone to write about it and say something good.

“He’s a four-division world champion so clearly he has the skills. I need someone who is hungry and motivated to bring out the best in me. My main focus is getting the win by any means necessary.

“I’m going to lo look to box effectively and show that I’m the better fighter. We’re both smart fighters but neither of us will run from the other. When you have styles like ourselves, with two guys who like to exchange punches, you’re in for a great battle.

“I think Adrien will be fine with the weight. He’s a pro and he knows that he really has to make weight. He’s learned from his mistakes. Sometimes he jokes around but that’s just part of his character. He takes things a lot more seriously because he’s facing me.

“If I can get this win, I just want to keep moving forward and fulfilling my dreams. I want to be in huge fights consistently. This is a crossroads fight for both of us to get to that level.

“I feel great and ready to make my debut at 160 livres. Camp has gone smoothly. I’m ready to dominate this division like I did 154 livres. My plan is to care of Heiland and then everything else will fall into line from there.

“This is a bigger, better and stronger version of Jermall Charlo. Everything has come together during camp. Ronnie Shields runs a great camp and I believe he’s continuing to bring the best out of me.

“I’m completely focused on this matchup. I know that I can’t get any of the big fights that I crave without taking care of Heiland. I’m going to break him down and if the knockout comes, I’ll make sure to take advantage.

Four-division world champion Adrien Broner has taken a unique approach as he prepares to face undefeated three-division titlist Mikey Garcia this Samedi, Juillet 29 en direct sur Showtime (9 p.m. HE / 6 h, heure.
