Michael Dutchover vs. Manuel Mendez Headline 3.2.1. Boxing Card on November 1st

ARANCIONE, COME (Ottobre 1, 2020) - Thompson Boxing Promotions is pleased to present the newest installment of its successful boxing series 3.2.1 Boxe featuring three exciting-and-compelling bouts, live on Sunday, November 1st, 2020. Nel main event 8-tondo, super leggero Michael “The West Texas Warrior” Dutchover (14-1, 10 KO), of Midland, TX, who is co-promoted with Promozioni Banner and Thompson Boxing, will make his second headlining appearance on 3.2.1 Boxing as he faces Manuel “La Tormenta” Mendez (16-7-3, 11 KO), who fights out of Colton, COME. Dutchover will look to continue to build on the success off his last win over Jorge Marron Jr. (18-2, 6 KO).


Dutchover, who is coached and managed by Danny Zamora, has a high knockout ratio and is known for his all-out attack. His only loss came in a controversial stoppage during a match against Thomas Mattice in his hometown of Midland, TX, on a ShoBox main event back in 2019. DANNY ROMAN WANTS ALL SUPER BANTAMWEIGHT CHAMPIONS

ARANCIONE, COME (Settembre 28, 2020) – Former super bantamweight world champion, Danny Romano (28-3-1, 10 KO), has his sights on challenging newly crowned WBC Champion Luis Nery (31-0, 24 KO) after his recent unanimous decision over Juan Carlos Payano (21-4, 9 KO). Roman defeated Payano by scores of 116-112 across the board in a WBC title elimination bout, putting him next in line to challenge Nery, who defeated previously unbeaten Aaron Alameda (25-1, 13 KO) by way of a twelve round unanimous decision, to capture the vacant WBC belt.


“After defeating Payano, my focus has shifted to challenging Luis Nery for the WBC title.” said Roman, who is promoted by Thompson Boxing Promotions. “I am now the mandatory challenger to fight Nery and I believe that fight can be made easily, since we are both fighting on SHOWTIME with the PBC. Luis Nery is a true warrior, as am I, and I’ll be ready to fight him anytime, dovunque. Nery is a very gifted fighter and I think that fight will be fan friendly with both of us leaving everything in the ring.”


In aggiunta, Roman has unfinished business to settle with IBF/WBA champion,Murodjon Akhmadaliev (8-0, 6 KO) after he lost a close split decision in their world championship bout that took place in January of this year. Roman relinquished his IBF and WBA titles that night.


“I want a rematch with Murodjon Akhmadaliev as I believe I won that fight,” Roman continued. “When you fight champion for his titles, you must win convincingly, and I don’t think Akhmadaliev did enough that night, but the judges thought differently. I graciously took the defeat with class, but it didn’t feel right. I want to avenge my loss.”

SEPTEMBER 22nd, 2020 NEW YORK CITY – Former Olympian and #1 ranked IBF light heavyweight contender Meng Fanlong (16-0, 10 KO) is now a promotional free agent after reaching a separation agreement with Roc Nation.

“I’m very happy to be a free agent," said Meng. “I have the best team around me, my advisors Terry and Tommy Lane, my trainer Shaun George, my attorney Scott Shaffer and my Chinese representative Kurt Li. They are building a solid plan for my career and I am really looking forward to the future. I am still the mandatory challenger in the IBF. Facciamolo!"

La scorsa estate, Meng earned the IBF’s #1 ranking with a 2019 victory over then-undefeated Adam Deines. Di conseguenza, Meng was set to fight unified champion Artur Beterbiev on March 28th, 2020, but the coronavirus pandemic KO’d the bout. In late 2018, Meng traveled to Monte Carlo and stopped British contender Frank Buglioni in five rounds, sending Buglioni into retirement. His most recent fight was a second-round stoppage of Gilberto Rubio that was not televised anywhere.

Despite his undefeated record and stellar amateur background highlighted by representing his native China at the 2012 Giochi Olimpici, Meng remains relatively unknown in the United States. His current team intends for that to change soon.

“We can’t wait for people to see him fight;" said Meng’s advisor, Tommy Lane. “He is one of the best fighters in boxing today and is yet to fight on a major platform, and that’s a shame. We hope to change that very soon. We are currently feilding different opportunities for Fanlong.”

Nativo di Porto Rico e combattente da Detroit, Mich., Bocachica è solo 21 anni e ha già quattro anni di esperienza professionale. Ha iniziato a fare boxe all'età di otto anni, ha vinto quattro campionati consecutivi a bordo ring (2011-14), i Campionati Nazionali PAL e il 2015 Guanti d'oro di Detroit. Vanta un record amatoriale di 55-5. È addestrato da suo padre, Nelson figueroa. Bocachica è gestito da McWater di Split T-Management e promosso da King's Promotions.

BOSTON (Settembre 14, 2020) – Undefeated Ukrainian super lightweight prospectZoravor Petrosyan improved his pro record to 8-0 (4 KO) last Saturday night in Russia, stopping out-classedEubenii Vazem in the fourth round in Ekaterinburg.

NEW YORK, – Settembre 9, 2020 – Former unified super bantamweight champion Danny Romano anticipates an action packed showdown as he previewed his upcoming WBC super bantamweight title eliminator bout against former world champion Juan Carlos Payano che si terrà Sabato, Settembre 26 in part two of a first-of-its-kind SHOWTIME PPV doubleheader presented by Premier Boxing Champions.


“Payano is one of the toughest and roughest fighters in the division,” said Roman. “His only losses are to elite fighters. “It’s been a very productive training camp thus far,” said Roman. “We’ve been going strong, but smart, since early August. Coach Eddie has been studying Payano and we see some flaws in his game that we feel we can capitalize on. I’m in great shape and its full steam ahead for Payano showdown.”


The Los Angeles-native Roman will return to the ring for the first time since dropping a narrow split-decision, and his super bantamweight titles, to Murodjon Akhmadaliev in January. Roman knows that with a win in this title eliminator, he will be in a prime position to regain his status in the division.


“A victory will put me right back on the doorstep for a world title,” said Roman. “I feel that I’m still one of the best fighters at super bantamweight, but I must get past Payano. There are so many big fights at super bantamweight, because this division is one of the deepest in boxing. My mind is set on becoming a world champion again, and a victory against Payano will bring me closer to that goal.”

Nel main event 10 round, WBC #8 bantamweight contender Alejandro “Peque” Santiago (21-2-5, 11 KO) will return to his home base of Tijuana to defend his WBC International Bantamweight Championship against streaking contender Willibaldo Garcia (10-3-1, 5 KO) of Copala, Guerriero, Messico.


24-year-old Santiago has not lost a fight since 2014 (andando 13-0-4, 7 KO) and has made a career out of surprising his favored opponents, often in their backyards. The skillful Santiago first came on the boxing radar by battling to a 10-round draw with then undefeated prospect Antonio Nieves for the NABO Championship. Fighting live on ShoBox: La nuova generazione, Santiago took control over the back half of the fight and many say deserved the decision.

23-year-old Sandoval, already a seven-year professional veteran, is a fan favorite in his hometown of Tijuana. “Chucky” has won 21 straight fights, dating back to 2016. He was last seen scoring an eighth-round stoppage of countryman Javier Alejandro Rendon (poi 10-3-3) in November of last year.


“I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity,” said Sandoval. “I know that it is going to be an incredibly good fight because I have a high-quality opponent. We are preparing very strongly for this fight, despite the challenges since most gyms have been closed. I like to box, show my skills however I also like to brawl. I am preparing to give the fans a great fight and come out victorious!"


20-year-old Villanueva, from Guasave, Sinaloa, has lost just one fight in his last 16. A strong puncher with an aggressive style.
