Dutchover, 18, will campaign as a junior lightweight. The Texas native won numerous regional tournaments as an amateur and was a runner up at this year’s National Golden Gloves competition in the 132-pound division. He enters the professional ranks well prepared having gone 130-17 in the unpaid arena.

“I felt an overwhelming amount of joy when I was signing my contract,” said Dutchover, who is trained and managed by Danny Zamora. “I’ve been doing this since I was eight years old. This is just the beginning. I’m going to work hard to become a world champion. That’s all I want.”

“I am very excited to be promoting Michael with Ken Thompson of Thompson Boxing,” said Artie Pelullo of Banner Promotions. “He had a big amateur background. His style as an amateur was more pro oriented then anything else. He is a great young talent and I know he has a big future. We look forward to getting him started on what we hope will be a journey towards a world championship.”
“We are very pleased with the addition of Michael Dutchover,” said Ken Thompson, president at Thompson Boxing. “Michael brings a dynamic fighting style to the ring. He looked incredible in his pro debut last week. It’s going to be exciting watching his career take off.”

Dutchover appeared on the most recent Thompson Boxing card last Friday, اکتوبر. 21. Dutchover started his career with a third round knockout over Cesar Partida.

He worked off an effective jab that allowed him to land crisp power shots. In the third, he connected on a crushing combination that resulted in the fight’s only knockdown. Partida survived the round, but was not allowed to come out for the fourth and final round.

“Partida was a tough opponent,” said Dutchover after the fight. “He took a lot of quality punches. I was able to drop him in the third and I knew he was hurt. It feels great to start my career with a knockout win.”

Fighters often make excuses when they lose, but with Zubov, there may be some validity. Normally a very active fighter with a high work rate, Zubov appeared listless and sluggish for eight uneventful rounds.
“Life doesn’t always go the way you want. Losing that fight made me stronger. It was a good lesson for me and it was good for my experience to fight on that level. And now I know what it’s like. That will never happen again.”

PBC Series Continues in 2017 with a Robust Broadcast & Cable Schedule

“The Premier Boxing Champions series will continue its mission in 2017 of making the sport available to the widest possible audience,” said Tim Smith, Vice President of Communications for Haymon Boxing. “Through its first two seasons the PBC will have broadcast over 90 shows, featuring surprising upsets, spectacular knockouts and hard-fought championship matches. The 2017 season of the PBC series will be the most exciting yet.”
The 2016 season saw some very exciting and compelling showdowns such as Keith Thurman vs. Shawn Porter and Leo Santa Cruz vs. کارل Frampton کی, and featured the most viewed boxing matches of the year. Thurman-Porter peaked at 3.94 million viewers on CBS on جون 25, while Danny Garcia-Robert Guerrero peaked at 3.5 million viewers on FOX on جنوری. 23. Boxing trainer Orlando Cuellar goes Back to the Future at 5th St. جم

Dino has a passion for boxing and he is very hospitable, which trickles down to his staff and fighters. Good vibes all of the time!”
Cuellar left for Las Vegas in 1976 اور, after he realized that being a boxer wasn’t in his best interest, he started training fighters there in 1981 out of Johnny Garcia’s Gym. A year later, he shifted his base Brooklyn and started training fighters out of another boxing icon, گلیسن کی جم. میں 2000, he resettled in Miami.

I specialize on what I call old school meets new school. Punches aren’t vitamins, none should be taken. Boxing is little more than a battle of reflexes; one fighters versus another, but the real trick is how the fighter uses his reflexes. I teach my fighters how to turn the ring apron into a minefield.”
Boxing has played a huge role in Cuellar’s life. Back in the 5ویں سینٹ. Gym is just another chapter in his unique life.
“I live through my fighters,” Cuellar concluded. “Every victory is my proudest moment. There are no big or little victories, every win is a happy moment because of all the hard work and sacrifices me and my fighter made during training camp.”
