Pro Wrestler and MMA Fighter to step into ring in heavyweight main event
Charlotte, NC (Noviembre 8, 2017) – Combat sports star Seini Draughn will step into the ring on Viernes, de noviembre de 17mo at The Grady Cole Center in Charlotte, Carolina del Norte.
The show is promoted by Pretty Girl Promotions.
Draughn, who maybe better known as a professional wrestler Lei’D Tapa has appeared for TNA Impact Wrestling, Ohio Valley Wrestling, Global Force Wrestling and WWE Developmental territory NXT .
The native of Tampa, Florida via Tonga also has appeared in MMA fights in Japan, and is a 2-time IBJJF, 2-time Naga, and New Breed Champion.

Draughn’s opponent in the four-round heavyweight main event will be Melissa Holmes (1-3) of Ypsilanti, Michigan.

GILROY, California. (Noviembre. 7, 2017) – Unbeaten Colombian power-puncher Janer González (19-0-1, 15 KOs) takes a major step up in competition when he faces unbeaten Russian prospect Radzhab Butaev (7-0, 6 KOs; WSOB: 9-1) este viernes, Noviembre. 10, at the Masonic at Templelive Cleveland in downtown Cleveland. “My good friend Oscar Escandon introduced me to Mr. Guerrero about a month ago. I came to California to start training with Ruben shortly after. It’s been a great transition and training camp has been very productive. I’ve been sparring every other day since I got here. I’m in good shape and I’m ready to perform at my best este viernes.”

 

On facing undefeated Russian prospect Radzhab Butaev:

 

“I know I have a tough fight ahead of me, but I’m ready for the challenge. Butaev had a tremendous amateur career, but so did I. I have over 300 amateur fights under my belt and there is nothing Butaev will bring to the ring that I haven’t already seen. We equally have a lot of power, so the fans can expect to see some big shots being thrown by both of us. I’m going to leave everything in the ring come fight night.”

 

On making his U.S. debut and what a victory on Showtime will do for his career:

 

“Fighting on SHOWTIME is a tremendous blessing for me. This is my first fight in America and I going to make it special. The exposure I will get can take my career to the next level, especially if I come out victorious. A win will garner me some big fights and some big paydays. I’m fighting for my family and my countrymen in Colombia. My motivation is at an all-time high and the boxing world will know my name after this fight.”

JUNE 1ST, 2ND and 3RD 2018
Atlantic City, N.J. – Noviembre 7, 2017 – The Atlantic City Boxing Hall of Fame is proud to announce its second Annual Induction Ceremony & Celebration Weekend. La 2018 celebration is set for Viernes, June 1st through Sunday, 3 ª de junio de; and will be held at the historic Claridge a Radisson Hotel in Atlantic City, Nueva Jersey.
Our esteemed Nomination Committee has completed the nomination and voting process; and the names of all luminaries who will be inducted into the 2018 Clase de inducción, will be announced Lunes, Noviembre 27, 2017, via an official press release. This year’s group of Inductees is comprised of Boxers, Entrenadores, Promotores, Gerentes, Matchmakers, Historians, Special Contributors, and Posthumous individuals. The countdown to Induction Weekend has begun as plenary meetings are already underway. Over the next several week’s updates on room packages, schedule of events and expected celebrity appearances will be posted on the Atlantic City Boxing Hall of Fame and the Claridge Hotel websites and social media platforms.
During last year’s inaugural three-day celebration – ACBHOF showcased the Fight Fan Experience – a festive boxing-themed environment that included a Boxing Fantasy Camp, Pop-Up Barber Shop, Jack Johnson Exhibit, Icons of Boxing, The Legacy Exists Joe Frazier Scholarship Fund, James O’Neal Sculptures, Cake King of Queens, The Press of Atlantic City Exhibit, WBC Boxing, Food vendors and music by DJ Young Hitta.
The master of ceremonies for the ceremony was President of NJ Boxing Hall of Fame, Henry Hascup. La 2017 induction weekend was a smorgasbord of boxing royalty, celebrity guests, and legions of boxing fans. Last year’s star-studded Charter Class members included: Don King, Michael Spinks, Larry Hazzard, Steve Smoger, Mike Rossman, Dwight Muhammad Qawi, Frank Gelb, Don Elbaum, J Russell Peltz, Dave Bontempo, Ken Condon, Robert Lee, Sr., Larry Holmes and Mike Tyson.
Some of last year’s VIP guests included: Atlantic City Mayor Don Guardian, Councilman Frank Gilliam, Dr. Nina Radcliff, Whitney Ullman, Jill diamante, Flo Anthony, Aaron Snowell, Lillo Brancato, Alan Goldberg, Ray Mercer, Mark Breland, Irán Barkley, Iceman John Sculley, Tracy Patterson, Milton Luban, Chuck Zito and the Grandy Twins. EDMONTON, Canadá (Noviembre 6, 2017) – In its continuing efforts as the boxing network destination for Canadian boxing fans, Super Channel has announced that it has secured the exclusive rights to air the Liam “Beefy” Herrero vs. Liam Williams revancha, este sábado (Noviembre. 11), live from Metro Radio Arena in New Castle, Reino Unido.

I can never be that bad again. What I did to try and make weight during fight week killed me. It was nothing to do with having a slow start by game plan. Liam had a good start and I couldn’t have been worse. Hay 10 fighters in Britain that could have properly out-boxed me on that night.
“The fight was changing before round nine. He threw his head in numerous times because I didn’t get cut off it. Independientemente, you go in the ring, you get wet. La estrella amateur argentina y dos veces olímpico Alberto Melian se convertirá en un profesional 'Lomachenko’ Estilo contra 23-2 Ricardo Santillán en diciembre 16

El fichaje promocional más reciente de Sampson Boxing, Estrella amateur argentina y dos veces olímpica, Alberto “Impacto” Melián, tomará el “Lomachenko” ruta a las filas profesionales enfrentándose a Diego Ricardo Santillán (23-2, 15 KOs) en una pelea de ocho asaltos para su primera pelea profesional en Sábado, Diciembre 16, en el Macro Estadio de la Federación Argentina de Boxeo (FAB) in Buenos Aires.
Un enemigo formidable para cualquiera, el Santillán de 30 años, de Tartagal, Salta, Argentina, es una ex argentina (FAB), WBC Mundo Hispano y Campeón Sudamericano de Peso Gallo. Melian, sin embargo, ha solicitado la vía rápida a un campeonato mundial y el promotor Lewkowicz ha aceptado.

Wilder first knocked Stiverne to the ground with a devastating one-two combination that caught the Haitian challenger on the nose. Seconds after Stiverne got back to his feet, Wilder landed another clean combination with a big left and an overhand right that sent a stunned Stiverne back to the canvas. The final blow came in the waning moments of the opening round as Wilder landed four clean punches to the face of a wobbly Stiverne.
“You have to give props to Stiverne for getting in the ring,” Said Wilder. “It takes a lot of courage and it takes a lot of pride to step in the ring with someone like me. We do what we have to do in the ring and at least he stepped up. He was a clean fighter.”
After the brutal knockout, an emotional Wilder was asked by SHOWTIME Sports®reporter Jim Gray about a possible fight with unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua.
“I’ve been waiting on that fight for a long time now,” Said Wilder. “I declare war upon you. Do you accept my challenge? I’ve been waiting for a long time. I know I’m the champion. I know I’m the best. Are you up for the test?

The back-and-forth 12-round world championship fight saw Lipinets control the early rounds with a diversified, creative attack targeting Kondo’s body. An accidental clash of heads in the sixth round, which opened up a deep cut on the forehead of Lipinets, altered the momentum of the fight as Kondo gained confidence and was able to land some powerful punches to the head and body of Lipinets. The 28-year old Lipinets, who earned the title in just his 13º professional fight, was able to regain control in the later rounds to earn the unanimous win.
“I think the scorecards were accurate but it was a good fight,” Said Lipinets. “The head-butt really impaired my vision and it led to me walking into some stupid shots.
“Estoy contento con mi actuación. I’m just going to keep getting better from here. I’m ready to take any on challenge thrown my way.”
Kondo, who was fighting for the first time in the United States, proved a worthy opponent on the night. “It was a fair decision,” said Kondo, through a translater. “He hit me with a lot of hard punches and I felt like I needed at least a knockdown in the last round.
“I made up my mind that I wasn’t going to show any pain or fear from his punches. I was determined to keep fighting all night.”

Salita Signs Co-Promotional Deal with Russian Heavyweight KO Artist Apti Davtaev

Dmitriy Salita of Salita Promotions proudly announces the signing of Russian heavyweight prospect Apti Davtaev (13-0-1, 13 KOs) a un acuerdo de co-promoción, in association with KA promotions and Kazbek Aslambekov.
Already the promoter of top heavyweight contender Jarrell Miller, Salita says that the 6′ 5″ KO artist Davtaev has strong potential to also rise to the top of the big man’s division.
“The heavyweights are once again infused with lots of talent, and Aptis’ punching power and size will make him a real threat to the best in the division,” Said Palabra. “I am very happy to team up with and work together with KA promotions and Kazbek Aslambekov in progressing Apti to the heavyweight world title.”
The heavy-handed 28-year-old Davtaev hails from Kurchaloi, Rusia, and is trained by Hampasha Magomedov in the city of Grozny in the Ahmat Boxing Club. A relentless pressure fighter, he won the WBC Slovenian title in just his tenth pro fight.
El objetivo, he says is to fight in North America and enter the world stage.
“My goal is to become the heavyweight champion of the world,” Said Davtaev. “I am very confident that I will accomplish this goal with Salita Promotions and Kazbek Aslambekov. Professional boxing is on a high level, especially in my weight class, in the USA, so that is where I want to be.”

Salita says his newest heavyweight will be getting the preparations necessary to become a star in boxing.

Davtaev is scheduled to fight Noviembre 20, in a 10-round fight in Tashkent, Uzbekistán, and then will be travelling to the US to continue his training for his first fight in North America.
