Zhora Hamazaryan: “I will beat-down Thomas Mattice in rematch”

PHILADELPHIA / ORANGE, Calif. Hamazaryan (9-1, 6 KO) was on the wrong end of what most people thought was a very controversial decision on that July night in Sloan, Iowa. The native of Armenia has been in Los Angeles, training very hard for the rematch.

 

 

 

“Totul este perfect. My camp has been great, and I am just ready for Friday night,” said Hamazaryan.

 

 

 

Hamazaryan has been able to block out the first fight, and he believes that what happened in the ring has no bearing on what will happen on Friday.

 

 

 

“It is a totally new fight for me. I am taking this more seriously because this is a rematch. I did not lose the last fight, so it doesn’t make any difference to me. It will not change my game plan.”

 

 

 

The 22 year-old Hamazaryan feels the experience he gained in the first fight will be beneficial to him for even a more dominant performance.

 

 

 

“I feel like I am a champion. I will do great again, and perform even better. I took this fight to prove that I am better then him. I showed that in the previous fight, and now nothing can stop me.”

 

 

 

The decision was chastised throughout the boxing world, and even called the one of the worst decisions seen in ShoBox expert analyst Steve Farhood’s 40-year boxing career. Hamazaryan will not let the judges decide his fate in the rematch.

 

 

 

“Everyone was disappointed by decision because they saw clearly that I won. It was disappointing for the fans, but It did not break me. This time it won’t be a decision. I am going to do what I am good at. I will win this anyway, whether it’s a decision or knockout. Either way it’s going to be a beat down. Hopefully this will be the right the decision. I just hope everything will be fair, and I am coming for a win.”

The 21-year-old out of Weslaco, Texas was busy last year as he won all four of his matches and he has logged two knockout victories this year, beating Giovanni Delgado in March and Luis Roy Suarez Cruz in his last fight on August 4, with three of those six wins coming on FS1 and FOX Deportes.

 

 

 

The 34-year-old Escandon (25-4, 17 KO), who fought in the 2004 Olympian for Colombia, is a hardnosed veteran from Ibague, Colombia looking to rebound from two tough losses to Tugstsogt Nyambayar on May 26 on FS1 and WBC featherweight champion Gary Russell, Jr. în 2017.

 

 

 

A 6-foot-6 heavyweight, Joyce (5-0, 5 KO) won the silver medal in the 2016 Rio Olympic Games as a super heavyweight from Great Britain and now trains in Big Bear, California with Abel Sanchez. The 32-year-old from London turned pro in 2017 and has been on a knockout roll since. Joyce, whose nickname is ‘Juggernaut,’ has ended four of his five fights inside of two rounds. He scored a first-round KO victory over Ivica Bacurin in his last fight on June 15.

 

Kiladze (26-3, 18 KO) is an experienced veteran who will test Joyce early in his young career. The 32-year-old out of Ukraine who now lives in Los Angeles and will be looking to rebound from back-to-back losses to Michael Hunter and Adam Kownacki. Before those losses he had put together a six-match win streak.

World Ranked Yenifel Vicente Motivated To Face World Champion Isaac Dogboe

The explosive World Boxing Organization (WBO) Interim Latino Jr. Featherweight champion, Yenifel “El Rayo” Vicente (33-3-2, 25 KO), din Republica Dominicană, is hopeful that he’ll face WBO world champion Isaac Dogboe (20-0, 14 KO) de Ghana.

 

 

 

“I’m ready for a world title fight against the WBO world champion Dogboe. If we face each other, it will be a Fight Of The Year candidate because of our aggressive styles. We both like to go there and expect a war, and at the same time, we are not afraid of it. What better way than to give the fans an intense war? “If I have to fight in Ghana, United States or in England, which is where Dogboe trains, I’m more than available to do it. Vicente has eight wins in a row by way of knockout, which includes the Knockout of the Year in the Premier Boxing Championship over the favorite and then undefeated Juan “Baby Tito” Domínguez, who was knocked out in the 3rd round.

 

 

 

In his penultimate bout, held in April in Colombia, Vicente was crowned WBO Interim Latino Champion after defeating via 4th round technical knockout the local Walberto Ramos. August anul trecut, Vicente successfully defended his title by knocking out Mexican Andrés García in the second round in Panamá.

Shields vs. Hammer features two of the consensus top-10 pound-for-pound fighters in the world squaring off to crown only the second undisputed champion in female boxing history.

 

 

 

The 23-year-old Shields (6-0, 2 KO) is a two-division champion who holds the IBF and WBA 160-pound titles. The 28-year-old Hammer (23-0, 10 KO) owns the WBC and WBO belts and has dominated the women’s middleweight division for nearly eight years. Shields and Hammer fought on the same card in June on SHOWTIME, with both fighters winning impressively to set up the first undisputed showdown in the women’s 160-pound division.

 

 

 

The winner of Shields vs. Hammer will join Terrence Crawford, Jermain Taylor, Bernard Hopkins, Oleksandr Usyk and women’s welterweight Cecilia Braekhus as the only fighters to have unified all four recognized titles in any weight class.

Shields was the first American boxer in history – male or female – to win consecutive Olympic Gold Medals. Flint, Mich., native turned professional following the 2016 Olympics and became unified women’s super middleweight world champion in just her fourth professional fight. Shields moved down to middleweight for her June 22 headliner on SHOWTIME, defeating Hanna Gabriels to win the IBF and WBA titles and become a two-division champion in just her sixth professional contest.

 

 

 

Ciocan, of Dortmund, Germania, has been the dominant force in the women’s middleweight division since winning the WBO title in 2010. Hammer became unified champion in 2016 with a unanimous decision over WBC titlist Kali Reis and has made four defenses as unified champion. In her eight years as champion, Hammer has lost just a handful of rounds across 16 lupte titlu mondial. Ciocan, who also models professionally and was recently featured at Fashion Week in New York City, made her U.S. debut on June 22 after campaigning mostly in Germany since turning professional in 2009.

Over the past year or so there’s been a lot of speculation, or should that be desire, about the possibility of an all Merseyside showdown between local heroes Craig Kennerdale and Paul Peers.

 

Until very recently it had been just pure wishful thinking, it had been proposed on numerous occasions and failed to be made, however come Saturday night this much anticipated showdown finally becomes a reality, as promoter Dan Gray decided enough of the talking, if the fans want the fight, they should have their wishes come true and added it to the card for his upcoming event at the home of Derby County FC, Pride Park in Derby.

 

When Dan Gray first proposed the fight to Paul Peers, Peers had told him “Good luck mate, others had tried to make the match-up in the past and failed.” Not to be deterred Gray not only convinced Kennerdale’s manager Kyle Gallagher that the time was right, but also the unbeaten prospect himself.

 

Speaking from his Liverpool home Craig Kennerdale explained why he decided to take the fight now.

 

“I always knew that Paul and I would face each other one day, but always expected it to be much later on in our careers, but when Dan (Gray) dangled the carrot of making it for a title, my first title shot, I just couldn’t refuse.

 

“I’ve been waiting for this opportunity for so long, I’ve been around the sport since I was ten years of age and in that time every single training session, every spar and every fight I’ve ever had has been leading to this fight, I can’t wait for Saturday night, it’s my dream to win a title.

“I can’t help but think that this fight has all the hallmarks of being a seriously good all action fight the fans will love to watch.

 

“I believe styles make fights, the difference in our styles, as well as the way we approach fights make this a very interesting match-up. It’s going to be a war on Saturday night.

The former light heavyweight world champion will be looking his third straight win, second triumph in the cruiserweight division, and his fourth win in five fights under trainer Stephan Larouche.

 

 

 

In his last ring appearance, this past July 20th at Place Bell in Laval, Pascal knocked out Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) veteran and former hockey enforcer, Steve “Șeful” Bosse, in the eighth round of an intense and captivating battle.

Gary Kopas is the current CPBC Canadian cruiserweight champion and CPBC International cruiserweight title holder.

Kopas won his Canadian title after a fierce fight with the late Quebec pugilist, David Whittom.
