The 29 year-old Young is a six-year veteran who has garnered wins over Jose Javier Calderon (4-1), and is coming off a six-round unanimous decision over 56-fight veteran Carlos Winston Velasquez on August 19th בקלרידג '.
This will be Young’s 4th consecutive start at The Claridge and 12th overall fight in his hometown of Atlantic City.
Young’s opponent in the scheduled ten-round bout will be announced shortly.

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ-It was a bittersweet night for welterweight contender תומס Lamanna as he won a 10-round unanimous decision over George Sosa in an entertaining bout in front of a capacity crowd at מלון קלרידג ' ב אטלנטיק סיטי.

The 11-bout card was promoted by Rising Promotions.

LaManna won the WBC Silver Latino Welterweight title and shortly after, the fighter known as “פתיתי תירס” promptly announced his retirement in the ring.

The two traded big blows throughout the bout as Sosa came out very aggressively and was able to land some good right hands. LaManna was giving better of the two-way action, which had the sold-out crowd very enthused throughout the contest.

The show is expected to be the 9th sold-out show at the Claridge promoted by Rising Promotions.
“Rising Promotions is looking forward to ending the Summer with another great show here at the Claridge. We have a good line up on the card so we are hoping for a packed house, and we are looking forward to staging our first championship bout,” said Debbie LaManna of Rising Promotions.
The championship bout is the first major sanctioning body championship bout in Atlantic City in almost three years. (Kovalev vs Hopkins, נובמבר 8, 2014).
LaManna will be looking to win his first belt in the welterweight division. A win will propel him into the rankings as he looks for a high profile bout later this year.

פילדלפיה – יוני 27, 2017 – Victory Boxing Promotions’ most talked-about prospect, Jaron “Boots” Ennis, has much to celebrate for his 20th birthday today. The Philadelphia welterweight secured his 13th win at the Durham Armory in North Carolina last Thursday, besting Robert Hill over three rounds.

היל, a veteran of forty fights, came to Durham just one fight removed from an impressive upset victory over the Dominican Republic’s Eudy Bernardo (21-2, 15KO). After three rounds that included Ennis’ trademark punishment to the body, Hill’s corner declined to send him back into the ring for the fourth round, handing Ennis his 13th victory, and his 11th by stoppage.

“I only got hit one time during the fight,” said Ennis. “I went in there, and had fun like I always do. He backed up the whole time. When I first came, I was touching him to the body a lot, and that slowed him down. He didn’t come out for the fourth round.”

Ennis returns to the ring in the co-main event 12 באוגוסט at Nations Fight Night at the historic Howard Theatre in Washington DC. Since suffering his only professional blemish, the 28 year-old Pham of Atlantic City, New Jersey has stopped his two previous opponents.
Pham believes he will only get better as his trainer, Chuck Eisenbeis will be back in his corner after being absent from Pham’s last couple of bouts.
“It is good to have him back. He taught me everything that I know,” said Pham. “We have been working on footwork, and my jab. I have seen the improvement everyday. Chuck has been working with some UFC fighters and it is great to have him back.”
In Perez he is taking on a durable fighter, who has faced many top prospects, 13 undefeated fighters and a world champion in Jermall Charlo.
“He is a Puerto Rican. I know he is tough as I am Puerto Rican as well. יש לו 27 קרבות, so that is three-times more than I have. He is experienced and he goes rounds for the most part. Young of Atlantic City has a record of 16-2 with six knockouts has won five in a row was given the task of fighting Sosa on two weeks notice. Young was training for an all-New Jersey showdown with Juan “The Beast” רודריגז, ג 'וניור. but Rodriguez had to pull out due to an injury.
“My camp has been great. Sosa is a late-replacement, but that really does not matter, because I was preparing for whoever,”אמר 29 year-old Young.
Young knows that Sosa is a big puncher, but feels he is a different fighter outside of his home-country of the Dominican Republic.
