LOWELL, Kütle. (Şubat 5, 2016) – Peter Welch’s Gym in South Boston dominated last night’s Central New England (Büyük Lowell) championship final round of the 70th annual Lowell Sun Charities Golden Gloves Championship, open and novice classes, tarihi Lowell Memorial Oditoryumu'nda.
Peter Welch’s Gym had seven winners last night: open – Hyde Park welterweight Jennifer Perella and Brookline light welterweight İbrahim Nova; novice – Dorchester lightweightJonathen DePina ve orta siklet Brian Lawrence, East Boston lightweight Claire Duffy light welterweight, Boston light welterweight Katie Gregory and Franklin heavyweight Jared Gately.
Lowell West End Gym and Grealish Boston had the second-most winners last evening with two apiece.
Dün gece, 15 matches went the distance, including several upsets, along with one technical knockout and a two walkovers.

(Şubat 2, 2016) – Thirty-eight surviving amateur boxers will compete in 19 scheduled matches this Thursday night (Şubat. 4) the Central New England (Büyük Lowell) final round, open and novice divisions, of the 70th annual Lowell Sun Charities Golden Gloves Championship at historic Lowell Memorial Auditorium.
All CNE finals winners will advance to the New England Tournament of Champions, also held at Lowell Memorial Auditorium, later this month.

LOWELL, Kütle. (Ocak 29, 2016) – For the second week in a row all 13 matches went the three-round distance in last night’s Central New England (Büyük Lowell) semifinals round of the 70th annual Lowell Sun Charities Golden Gloves Championship, featuring open and novice class action, tarihi Lowell Memorial Oditoryumu'nda.
Returning New England welterweight champion Xavier Vega, representing Canal Street Boxing in Lawrence (MA), bir 4-1 winner against Michael Fontenez, Nashua, NH.
Peter Welch’s Gym in South Boston led the hit parade with three winners, all in the novice class: hafif Jonathan Depina, ek ağırlık Lipi Fernandes ve orta siklet Brian Lawrence. (Ocak 25, 2016) – Returning New England Golden Gloves welterweight champion Xavier Vega, Lawrence (MA), leads a host of talented open and novice class amateur boxers into this Thursday night’s (Ocak. 8) in the Central New England (Büyük Lowell) semifinals of the 70th annual Lowell Sun Charities Golden Gloves Championship at historic Lowell Memorial Auditorium.
The 21-year-old Vega, representing Canal Street Boxing, faces Nashua (NH) meydan okuyucu Michael Fontanez in one of eight open class matches. There are also eight novice class matches scheduled.
Vega, kimde var 33-3 amatör kayıt, didn’t start boxing until he was 17 because he has only one kidney. A construction worker by day, Vega hopes to become a professional boxer and, değilse, a Lawrence police officer in order to give back to his community.

LOWELL, Kütle. (Ocak 23, 2016) – The Central New England (Büyük Lowell) quarterfinals round of the 70th annual Lowell Sun Charities Golden Gloves Championship was held last night at historic Lowell Memorial Auditorium with 13 highly competitive matches in the novice class.
Tüm 13 matches went the three-round distance for 39 rounds of action that the large crowed enjoyed from start to finish. The super heavyweight match between Dorchester’s 381-pound Ivens Derival and Haverhill’s 266-pound Kyle Davis was of special especially because of their respective sizes. Davis won by way of a three-round decision, 4-1, in a back-and-forth match that had fans standing throughout.
