71st annual Lowell Sun Charities Golden Gloves Championship Central N.E. semifinals results

LOWELL, Offeren. (Chwefror 3, 2017) – Fourteen exciting matches were held last night in the semifinals round of the 71st annual Lowell Sun Charities Golden Gloves Championship, Central England Newydd (Lowell Fwyaf) is-adran, at historic Lowell Memorial Auditorium.
The open and novice championship finals will be held next Thursday nos (Chwefror. 9) at Lowell Memorial Auditorium with men’s and women’s matches. See the remaining 2017 rhestr o ddigwyddiadau isod, yn ogystal â chanlyniadau cyflawn neithiwr.
Last night’s action included nine novice division semifinals matches, eight men’s and one women’s, as well as four open men’s matches. Two of the open matches featured final competitions (not semifinals like the others) as Boston light heavyweight Taylor Mears, representing The Ring gym, stopped Nahua’s (NH) John Xifaris yn yr ail rownd, and North Chelmsford lightweight Brandon Higgins edged Dorchester’s Jonathan Depina on points, 3-2.
Gloucester’s Gedney brothers, middleweights Adrien ac Henry, both won last night, shutting out their opponents (5-0), yn y drefn honno, James Marino, o Medford, ac Furcy Ferreras, of Peabody. The Gedneys will not fight each other next in next Thursday’schampionship final of the novice super middleweight division. They will decide which brother will advance and last night’s opponent of the twin that isn’t advancing, Marino or Ferreras, will advance.
Arguably the most action-packed match last night was between lightweights Jeremiah Perez, of Lowell, ac Edwin Rozon, of Haverhill, in the open division. Perez won on points, 5-0, but the game Rozon kept firing despite being dropped in the second round.

As determined by sports scientists, pound for pound boxing is the toughest sport in the world. From the discipline, endurance and heart that goes into gloving up, boxing has garnered spectator respect and interest since the Ancient Greeks believed it to be a sport enjoyed by the Gods on Olympus. From Olympian bouts to professional prize fights, boxing is a spectator sport appreciated by millions globally.
This is White Collar/Master Boxing with Open, Novice and Master boxers. Three rounds of two-minutes each. Amateur boxing rules apply.

LOWELL, Offeren. (Ionawr 27, 2017) – The red-hot action continued in last night’s quarterfinals round of the 71st annual Lowell Sun Charities Golden Gloves Championship of the Central New England (Lowell Fwyaf) division as men’s and women’s open and novice matches were held in front of another great and exceedingly loud crowd at historic Lowell Memorial Auditorium.
Judges were very busy as all 10 exciting bouts, including a Junior Olympic match and two non-tournament bouts, went the complete distance. Individual standouts included a pair of open division boxers, pwysau welter Michael Fontanez, of Nashua (N.H.), and Methuen (MA) Canol Yarmarco Guzman. A representative of Nashua, PAL, Fontanez is a slick, hard hitting southpaw who shutout, 5-0, a very tough Kenny Larson, of Salem (MA). Guzman, boxing out of Canal Street Gym, looked like a veteran boxer on his way to a 5-0 shutout win over Lowell’s Julien Baptiste.

D and D Management signs amateur star Dylan Price

PHILADELPHIA (Ionawr 13, 2017)–D and D Management Team LLC is proud to announce the signing of prized amateur Dylan “The Real Dyl” Price i gontract rheoli.
Price, 18 years old of Philadelphia will compete in the super flyweight division.
Price had an outstanding amateur career record of 112-12, and finished as the number-1 ranked fighter in the United States and number-3 in the world.
“I Would like to thank Doc Nowicki and my dad Dave Price for believing in me, and for providing for me even as an amateur. They were always there with the financial support needed so that I was always able to concentrate on the task at hand. I am still a senior in high school, and I am still balancing my school workload with my boxing load, but I always enjoy challenges so it works out,” stated Dylan Price.
“I am very happy to sign Dylan (also known as Lil Dave). I have been following him through his amateur career, and I was very proud when he won the bronze medal at the world amateur championship in Russia. We look forward to him beginning his professional career in February and anticipate him having 5-6 fights in 2017,” said Doc Nowicki, manager of Dylan Price.
Price will make his professional debut on February 4th in Wilson, North Carolina, and he will make his hometown debut on March 31st yn y 2300 Arena.

LOWELL, Offeren. (Ionawr 9, 2017) – The 71st annual Lowell Sun Charities Golden Gloves Championship kicks-off Dydd Gwener hwn nos (Jan. 13) featuring Central New England (Lowell Fwyaf) preliminary-round action at historic Lowell Memorial Auditorium. Gweler cyflawn 2017 schedule below.
Y llynedd, Gym Peter Welch yn (South Boston) dominated the Central New England tournament, capturing seven individual titles, followed in team scoring by the Lowell West End Gym and Grealish Boxing (Dorchester).
One of the boxers to watch this year is North Chelmsford’s Brandon Higgins, who represents the Lowell West End Gym.

1ST ANNUAL ROBERT “THE GHOST” GUERRERO FIGHT NIGHT AMATEUR BOXING EVENT

GALT, MEGIS (Medi 15, 2016) – Mae hyn yn Dydd Sadwrn, Medi 17, 2016, the first annual Robert “Mae'r Ghost” Guerrero Fight Night amateur boxing event will take place at the Guerrero’s Boxing Gym in Galt, Calif. Thirty separate bouts with fighters from California and Nevada will compete. A “Be The Match” bone marrow drive will take place from 11:00 a.m. i 1:00 p.m.
“This will be a great event for amateur fighters of all ages,” Dywedodd Robert Guerrero. “I remember when I was a kid competing in events like this, all I could think about was winning a trophy of some kind. So I’m happy to announce that first and second place participants will receive an award. Yn ogystal,, I’m going to do my part to help save lives by registering people into the bone marrow registry. BeTheMatch.org will be there to support the cause.”
Tocynnau Pris $20 will be available at the door. All proceeds will go to help fund the Guerrero’s Boxing Gym program. Weigh-ins are from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. First fight starts 1:00 p.m.
